There was one green pair left and I mentioned that green is my son's favorite color. Long story short--we needed another pair the next day. I went back and after telling them I needed another pair, they guy at the counter (sorry I missed his name) saw me looking at what was out (no green) and said, "didn't you say his favorite color is green?" And he went in the back and brought out a pair of green kid goggles. Places where people go out of their way for something small like this are exactly the type of places that deserve good reviews and good business!

I always see this shop off the freeway as I drive back to LA from SD and had never stopped (yet…read moreheard good things from friends who had); but today with traffic horrible and in need of a tank fill I got my opportunity. I had called ahead to make sure (because not all dive shops are treated equal) and they confirmed they did. When I entered I realized that this was definitely a full service scuba center, not just a shop with a few items here and there; they had a full selection of gear, a large pool and learning center, a very nice large changing room, etc etc., basically everything you could ask for from a dive shop/center. I don't live locally to the area, but happy I stopped and I'm armed w knowledge for the future, and to share here, that they'll take care of you with friendly and professional service.

I give one star for the girl that helped me the first time I came in. However after explaining…read morethat my wallet was stolen with my card inside of it I was told I needed to get My PADI cert number from them so that I could rent a regulator set up and a tank. After spending the day tracking that down finally having house of scuba be the ones that were able to get that info for me, I felt as though because the earlier interaction with the previous employee was positive i would return and rent the gear. Big mistake. Little bit of insight, my regulator stage one and two were in storage and some mice decided to feast on my hoses. Long story short I was in need of a set today so that I could do a recovery job tomorrow morning. After jumping through hoops and tryjng to stay loyal to the original store beyond land adventures. I returned to find some new guy working the desk. He tells me that he needs more than my cert number to be able to rent the gear. He calls the other employee who vouches for me and then asks her if she knows how to input that into the computer to make things work. They have a brief talk and he ends it with I will figure it out. After about five minutes he proceeds to tell me that he can't rent the gear because he has no way to look up my info. I have the PADI app which clearly states that I am certified as a rescue diver. Plus my number. Then I ask him if he could sell me gear and he says no they don't sell gear to anyone not certified. So I ask him if I was new at getting into diving and wanted to be certified with my own gear so that I was trained on how it worked with a professional his response was that they don't do that. i Have never been to any store or bought any dive gear online and been asked for my certification card. So now that I have wasted my whole day finding out the information they asked me for only to be denied at th time that house of scuba or ocean enterprises are closing I get that fake response of I'm sorry so we just can't help you. If you read between the lines it says I don't want to do the work to figure out a way to make this workout for you. . I highly recommend that if you are going to need anything dive related that you look elsewhere because clearly they are not interested in making money. I will tell you one thing I miss the good ole days when Ricks diving locker in Escondido was still around. Rick was always helpful, insightful, and knowledgeable as well as being a great guy overall. It's no Wonder that shops are closing due to internet sales. Today I wasn't even able to get what I needed at a store that carries everything I needed. looks like I am gonna have to go online and get what I need too bad I will prolly miss out on this work today though.

If you're looking for a dive shop that has great instructors and staff, Beyond Land Adventures is it! My wife was worried about me taking my kids in the pool and worse, the ocean, but no need to worry! The instructors and dive guides are super patient and helpful. We started with Chris, who did our two pool days with us, and 1 ocean dive. Because of the rain a couple weeks ago, the rest of the weekend was cut short. They worked with our schedule and we were able to finish our ocean dives this weekend. Chris was super patient and calm, especially with my nervous 16 year old daughter. I was bummed we wouldn't get him as our instructor this weekend until we met Spencer, who was equally as good! He, Lynsey, and Sean were our instructor and guides this weekend. All super patient and amazing people! The other staff back at the shop are equally as great. Had to switch out a couple pieces of equipment we sized wrong. No worries, they were great helping us switch to the correct size. Their shop prices might seem high when you're getting your first bits of equipment, but if you've done your homework, you'll find they're actually about the same price as Amazon and online scuba stores. Yeah, you might get 10% cheaper, but why gamble? BLA will back up everything they sell us Thanks again BLA! Can't wait to do our first scuba in Cozumel over spring break.

This store is clean, fully stocked, and laid out in an easy way to navigate in and out of. We've never felt overwhelmed and always receive exceptional customer service. The staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgable. We worked with Kristina and she went out of her way to answer our questions about dive watches, as well as ensure we received the best products that fit our budget. Also, she was happy to talk about dive sites locally and internationally, the dive shop's club, etc. We never felt rushed throughout the process. Kristina provided sound follow through by calling and emailing us about the status update of part of our order. We will definitely be visiting scuba.com in-person or online for future purchases. This shop continues to surpass our expectations!

Scuba.com is under the same ownership as Adorama, and products can be ordered over the internet. I was told that Miguel still services equipment, working from his home in the Costa Mesa area. The internet store has a broad selection, good pricing, and ships promptly. But, you will have to find someone local to service it. This is a big disappointment, as I have been buying from Scuba.com since 2004, and they have always serviced my equipment.

This company is the same as Nautilus Liveboards. What a terrible experience!…read more I booked the great white shark cage diving trip off of Guadalupe Island in Aug 2022. I was notified that access to Guadalupe was restricted. Initially, I was understanding when access to Guadalupe was restricted, and Nautilus allowed me to rebook for August 2023. Unfortunately, access was again restricted, and this is where my frustration began. Nautilus refused to allow me to reschedule for the following year, offering instead to apply my deposit ($900) to one of their other trips, however none of the alternatives provided a similar experience. When I requested a refund of my deposit, I was informed that I needed to speak with President Mike Lever and the only means of contacting him was via email. Despite multiple emails, I received absolutely no response from Mr. Lever. Attempts to follow up by phone resulted in vague responses from the staff, promising to remind Mike Lever to respond. This lack of communication and transparency was not only unprofessional but also left me feeling ignored and mistreated as a customer. To escalate the matter, I involved the Department of Consumer Protection from my state, hoping to find a resolution. Nautilus's response, through their attorney, was dismissive and unhelpful, essentially claiming that my state had no jurisdiction and I had no right to a refund. I am not one to leave negative reviews, but this experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. It is disheartening to encounter a company that not only fails to deliver the promised services but also evades communication and appears to keep deposits without providing any reasonable alternatives or solutions. I sincerely hope that Nautilus Liveboards takes customer concerns seriously and addresses these issues properly. I caution others to think twice before considering doing business Nautilus Liveboards or Mike Lever. They appear to now being conducting business under SharkDiver.com to avoid the negative press/reviews from so many that they have stolen money from.
