I brought in my 2004 Honda Gold Wing with a recurring headlight problem. Because of the design of the bike it's really hard to even get your hands in there but somehow their technician was able to work miracles in a very very short amount of time. I rode out of there probably less than 30 minutes after I got in and the price was a little bit lower than they even quoted. Because most shops don't seem to want to work on anything older than about 20 years old, these people are a welcome relief and I am definitely going back there again. My highest recommendations for this company. read more

Recently retired from active duty and needed to find a shop to service my Busa. Cycle Gear in San Marcos recommended this spot. They mentioned all the riders from their shop used CPR. I purchased some tires and took my bike over for an oil change and tire swap. Super happy with the upfront service. They automatically made me feel like I was already part of the shop family. This will be the only shop that services my bike in the future. Happy CPR Customer. read more

It just doesn't get any better than Shane and comrades at Critical Performance Racing. They split the cases and replaced crankshaft bearings and seals on my vintage 1974 Honda Elsinore 250 and it now lives to fight another day. Don't go changin CPR, y'all are the greatest! Your pal, Dick read more

Team CPR was recommended to me by North County Yamaha for an aftermarket full exhaust system install. They were able to accommodate my bike the following day (Thursday) and had it done by Saturday morning. The owners and staff were there to greet me both times and I'm glad I chose this team to get work done. I'm impressed by their work as well as demeanor towards customers. I highly recommend Team CPR and will definitely be back for my next service. read more

Critical Performance has gained a customer in me with their customer service, quality of work and old fashioned honesty! They went above agreed upon work without charging me extra. Shane gave me solid advice and info on my Can Am to save me money where others would have gouged more money out of me! read more

THIS is the place to go for anything you can't do on your own. Shane is a stellar dude who can absolutely be trusted to not lie to you about the issues your bike might be having. Everyone that works in this shop is incredibly friendly. I brought my newly purchased Triumph Street Triple in to have a basic checkup along with having my tires swapped and to have the bike lowered. The guys finished up earlier than I expected and I was able to leave with my bike while still having time left to enjoy my day off. I can't recommend this place enough and it's been my go to recommendation for any of my customers that ask about good shops in the area. Keep up the good work Shane and thanks so much! read more

This does not know how to do estimates. The way overcharge and they warranty nothing. Communication is basically non existent. They will tell you it will be done in a couple days and two weeks later you walk in and everyone is on a smoke break! Take your bike somewhere else! Not worth the hassle. read more

Such an amazing shop! Shane and Chris have such a passion for bikes! They're so friendly and knowledgeable! We always recommend our friends here because of how great they are. Very content with my experience. I brought in several items: EU6500is Honda Generator EU2000is Honda Generator Honda TRX 420 Honda TRX 350 Bombardier DS 90 All had dead batteries and were in various states of disrepair. I'm no slouch and tried for hours and hours to get these all to run correctly. I pulled all the carburetors out, cleaned them, tested everything blah blah blah. I failed and all of the above machines sat and started to rot. Finally, on a chance, I decided to entrust them to someone else. I spent months looking because I have been badly screwed by Honda and Yamaha dealers, various mobile mechanics and local shops where dropping off a $7k ATV is like throwing it down a black hole. I'm so glad I brought everything to CPR! These dudes rock. The hourly is higher than most at $105/hr but they did do everything right. I feel like everything is going to run super nice for another 5-6 years. read more

These folks are nice; I mean really nice! What a breath of fresh air to do business with! I would take any motorcycle, scooter, or off road vehicle to them for repair in a minute. Family owned and it seems like most everyone who works there has a stake in this being a great place to work and work with customers! They helped on my scooter and every one who has scooters knows how tough it is to find anyone to work on them let alone really pleasant people. Anyway work with them when you need help is my recommendation, I don't think you can go wrong! read more

I always take my bikes back to the dealer for service. However, this time It was suggested that I try CPR for my brand new 2020 Yamaha FJR. I was reluctant but though I would give it a try. WOW! What an experience! Very professional and attention to detail are way over the top. I have a Harley and KTM that I will be brining in for service now too. This shop is the real deal. I cant believe its taken me so long to find this little gem. Plus it feels good to give my money to someone who really appreciates it (unlike the franchise dealership). Well done CPR! You have an customer for life. read more

These guys are awesome!!! Brought my son's bike here with some serious issues. My son bought a bike from his cousin that had high mileage, was messed with a bit and had been sitting. When he bought it my son took it to a "Dealer" to be completely gone through and brought up to running order. Spent a lot of $$s just to get it "running" only to find out they wanted way too much more $$$$s to bring up to specs....Never did run quite right either. Should have just brought it here first!!! Shane dug in and stuck with it until all gremlins were resolved and bike runs good as brand new... for a 10 year old bike that's saying something. Rates are reasonable, money well spent and the work first rate. Thanks Shane! read more

I discovered this shop early last year. I noticed some bikes and since I own an ATV (2007 YFZ450) I decided to give Shane a shot at sorting out the problem I had with my craigslist purchased ATV. I can say with ease that this decision was the best one I've ever made with my beloved bike (it's got 4 wheels but I'm still going to call it that). Shane diagnosed the problem and fixed it in time for me to make the next trip to the desert. I felt great about the decision I made and Have been going to his shop ever since for all my motorsport needs. I've never met a more honest and hard working individual in this industry. I've had plenty of experience with the shops around North County and I will remain loyal to this shop simply because I can trust the guy and his warranty on his work. I know so many places that do not take pride in their work, or the work they do is simply awful. Critical Performance Racing is somewhere you can go to get honest work done and you will know exactly what he's doing and that he is going to do it right. Desert season is coming up and I need to get my bike (yes I know it has 4 wheels) in for pre-desert season tune-ups. Guess where I'm going to go? CPR, baby. I will eventually post a picture of my ATV for you to see. :) read more

I highly recommend CPR, Shane has found and repaired several issues after the big dealers couldn't find them in 3 visits. I had tricky issues with both my Renegade and Commander, he found the issues, took the time to explain them and repaired them the first time. I will be a customer as long as I ride. read more

Fantastic little shop! Shane was really professional and happy to answer questions and offer alternatives to get my bike to the shop after it refused to start. Jeff is awesome! He's extremely knowledgeable about all things related to mc's and even gave me helpful hints about how to maintain, operate, and even sell my bike. He's prompt, courteous and leaves no doubt your bike is in the right hands! read more

I brought "Critical Performance Racing" a 1996 Kawasaki Ninja ZX9R with 63,000 miles on it that had not been started in six years. And, I had serious doubts it could ever run correctly again. Before even seeing the bike, Shane (the owner of "CPR") ran through the possible problems and gave me an idea of the potential costs to rectify each problem. While it turned out my bike was mechanically pretty sound, there were many issues to sort through in just about every system on the bike. Shane and Jeff meticulously went through the carbs, the brakes, the clutch, the emissions system, etc ... ferreting out the "gremlins" that had appeared during this bike's lengthy period of inactivity. To make a long story short, my experience with Shane and his staff was very positive. It took some time, and it took a reasonable amount of money for the work and parts required to bring this bike back to life. However, I now have a bike that runs and rides amazingly well. More importantly, I have a sense of confidence that my bike has been transformed from a "barn find" into a bike that is 100% road worthy and safe to operate on the roads. Without the extremely honest and knowledgeable professionals at "Critical Performance Racing," I'm not sure the outcome would have been the same. Thank you "CPR!" read more

Bought a pair of slick (paid over the phone) takeoffs from their Craigslist ad and coordinated a pickup day which was a Friday during business hours. Was on the way to a track day and when I showed up to the business they were closed...no notice, just up and closed shop during business hours. I had to end up dropping almost half a grand on a new set of tires last minute at the track....thanks! read more

I would not recommend this place. I spoke to a gentleman named Shane about getting some work done on my bike. While he expressed enthusiasm about having me as a customer, that interest quickly dwindled as soon as communication transitioned to email correspondence. The last email I sent was about 2 weeks ago and I have yet to receive a response. Like the previous 1 star review that this company received, I expect someone from CPR will respond to this review stating something along the lines of "We apologize for blah blah... this isn't how we as CPR typically conducts ourselves blah blah... we have multiple lines of communication that YOU can utilize blah blah..." No excuses for a lack of professionalism. I suggest stepping your game up CPR if you hope to remain in business much longer. read more

I was referred to CPR and Shane from store down the street. Shane is great with down to earth honest attitude and fair pricing. He worked on my new N1K for a 600 mile 1st service. Afterwards, we spoke for a bit talking about mods and upgrades and he basically informed of all the pros and cons of all the mods i was interested in. He didnt try to upsell me which left me with a feeling that he's really there to help, not to swindle. Service was good and he's earned my business. read more

I have been to plenty of motorcycle shops in my life. You can always walk into one and get a good vibe if it's going to be legit or if it's not gonna be. But this place is LEGIT!! The work is outstanding and the prices are phenomenal!! I'm super stoked I found this place and a lot of my friends now go here. The dude's their break it down like a fraction on what they did and how they did and how to maintain your bike. And the turnaround time is amazingly quick! I take all my bikes here now dirt and Street. Highly recommend this place! read more

Great folks. I came in for a flat tire because they were the only ones who weren't trying to nickle-and-dime me. They didn't push anything unnecessarily and worked diligently, despite this being on a Saturday and I having no appointment. They also helped fix several other problems that came up as a result of being towed there. If I'm in the area again and need anything done, this is where I'll go. read more
