After scouring across 4 different big name dealerships, Bradley was the only person who gave me a quick OOTD price without any resistance. The transparency at first encounter is what made it easy to believe how honest they were. This was my first bike purchase and with Bradley's competitive experience, he welcomed all of my questions as a first time rider. ~3k miles later, and I still haven't had any issues with my bike. I value their credibility and will be trusting my motorcycle journey with them! read more

I purchased a motorcycle and it was in perfect condition. I couldn't be happier with it. i had it shipped from California to Florida and everything went smoothly read more

My son recently found a motorcycle at Ron Bishop's. The only problem was , we live almost 100 miles away and my son wanted to finance it through his credit union. Bradley was very helpful and informative on every aspect of the purchase. He really did help my son get the bike he wanted, even though there were a couple of speed bumps along the way. Every time I called Bradley he answered the phone and if he didn't, he would immediately call back. If you want great customer service along with fair prices you MUST visit Ron Bishop's motorcycles. read more

they are not very good when it works with customers that are female, when something was done incorrectly previously they dismiss it and act like you're taking away from their precious time, and if asked to explain as to give him a chance to explain they just tell you you're welcome to go somewhere else,3 times ,and upon return with a male friend their attitude was completely different.if you have a lot of business should you still care.i would say yes.I'm so bummed I'm not one of the people that gets to write a decent review I have so many more motorcycles I wanted them to work on . read more

FIRST AND FOREMOST, THANK YOU BRADLEY FOR BEING AND HONEST AND STRAIGHT FORWARD MOTORCYCLE DEALERSHIP. THANK YOU FOR YOUR OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My wife and I have been shopping around for sport bikes and we have been to many different motorcycle dealerships/shops throughout San Diego, Ca. We found Ron Bishop Motorcycles online and read all the great reviews and decided to visit the shop. As we entered the shop, my wife and I were greeted immediately, and we were asked if we had any questions to let them know. There was no salesman following us trying to sell us any motorcycle in the shop and no high-pressure sales tactics!!! The display rooms were immaculate and all the sport bikes, ATV's, dirt bikes, were very clean with LOW MILEAGE AND LOW HOURS! We were walking around looking at two specific sport bikes (Yamaha R3 & R6) and we asked if we could sit on both, to ensure my wife felt comfortable on the R3 and I felt comfortable on the R6. Bradely pulled both bikes out for us to sit on and we were sold. The motorcycles were not only in immaculate condition, but they both had very low mileage and looked brand new. We asked a lot of questions about the two motorcycles and Bradley was straight forward with us on where he purchased them from and the conditions of the motorcycles. Bradley opened the bay door, and we started both motorcycles. The R3 and the R6 sounded good with the Yoshimura exhaust. We will be purchasing more toys from Ron Bishop Motorcycles. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!!! read more

I would like to give an awesome review to Ron bishop motorcycle, Excellent customer service, very honest and proffesional especially to Andrew! the owner of the shop. Im having problems on my 03 Ducati monster due to stalling, went to different shops and spend money without them fixing the problem. Love this motorcycle shop! They get the job done and at a reasonable price. I've had my radiator fixed there and have also taken my tires there for replacing. Super friendly and helpful staff! read more

I've had a darn time finding someone to work on my big Burgman 650, that ACTUALLY knows them not just can work in motorcycles. I came out of work one day and there was a business card on the bike so I thought I'd give them a call. They're a small family owned business (I prefer to support the community owned businesses as much as possible) and he and his son run the shop. They have motorcycles for sale, all kinds of gear and accessories as well as doing repairs. Brought my Burgman 650 in and turns out these guys are scooter pros since they worked in them in England!!!! I had an oil change and had him give the scooter a once-over since I've had it a year and it's not needed any service other than oil changes and we did that ourselves. She's in great shape so I'll be back for the regular maintenance and also swing by if I need some extra love for my Rebel! Quick service, great prices, and close to work! read more

I just had a simple flat repair. There was service was fast, completed in one day. Everyone was very nice.

Great place to buy a used motorcycle. Cole was very helpful in working out my purchase. Great to deal with, Recommended!

I gotta say, so far, working on two different bikes for me on two separate occasions, Ron Bishop Motorcycles has done be just fine. The shop is open convenient hours, the communication has been pretty good, the repair rates are competitive and so far, both my bikes are back to tip top as I asked them to be. Nothing has blown me away in a good or poor manner. But, this is a shop I feel that I can trust that will get the work done properly for a reasonable cost. That's worth a few solid stars in my book. read more

I've used this shop for my 2005 FZ6 for over 4 years and their service has been a major reason for why I got almost 95k miles out of it. I will be using them for any new motorcycle that I buy also. Andrew and Bradley's knowledge is excellent, they take time to explain what an issue might be, and I have never felt rushed or compelled to get any services done that I was uncomfortable with. Their pricing is also very reasonable. This is an excellent business. read more

I have an early 1996 Triumph Sprint 900. Andy and Bradley have been great helping me when I need repairs. They go out of their way to find the parts and the knowledge to work on these bikes. They take a lot of British pride in what they do! Hard to find guys like this these days! read more

Ron Bishop Motorcycles - 1996 Triumph Sprint 900 - Motorcycle Repair Near Me - Escondido, California

I took me a while to write this and I write this now because it's that time of year again and I still don't have my bike to ride. Let me start by saying that the Dad and son team are nice guys. About a year ago I needed some work done on my bike. Though the bike was over 10 years old, it had only 11, 000 miles on it of which 9,000 were tacked on in one long summer touring the USA. I had ridden the bike pretty regularly but only short distances for the last 10 years. Bike was pretty well maintained. I had stopped riding it for any distance due to a blown seal in the rear brake caliper. Riding with just a front brake isn't too safe although I did do one complete back and forth to Vegas on just the front brake. It was getting close to spring and I wanted to start using the bike again as my commuter and an occasional Sunday ride. I scheduled a 'tune-up' for my bike with these guys and I gave them a detailed list of what I wanted to include new filters, oil change, brake shoes, rear caliper, new tail light and possibly a new front tire that I hadn't decided to replace just the front or get a new set of more street tread pattern. I had just bought a brand new battery a week before and the bike started right up The guys were nice enough to come and pick up my bike. I didn't feel safe riding the bike through town. They put me on the schedule and told me they would have it done in a week or so. It took them over 2 months just to get working on the bike as they were very busy at the time. When they did finally get started on it I got a message that it would not start. I told them that it started the day before they picked it up. They said the battery was dead (brand new battery?) and they would charge it. I sent them several messages asking about the status of my bike. They said they were working on it. Another month goes by and now we're into summer and my dreams of riding by bike are vanishing. Another month goes by and I get a message that everything is done on my bike but it doesn't start. WTF? So, they gave a bike a tune-up and changed the oil without ever starting the bike? WTF? Oil changing 101 says to run the engine before changing the oil so that it all drains out, right? Duh! They changed my rear caliper and bled my brakes and changed my pads but how the 'f' did they test the brakes! Really? The put on a new front tire and tube(other tube was just fine and still held air) even though I told them I was not sure what tire I wanted and that I might want to change both tires. They installed a new tail light but how could they test it with a 'dead battery' (again, battery was brand new when they got the bike but since they had the bike for over 3 months the 90 day warrant was over. Go figure.) So here we are, a year later. The weather is beautiful. I have motorcycle fever and I am without my bike even after paying almost SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS in parts and labor for a bike that is now parked in my garage collecting dust. But, honestly folks. Does it make sense to work on a bike that does not run? Wouldn't that be the place you start first? Get the thing running then go through and tune it up and put on new parts. I mean, if a heart stops beating on a human does a doctor still perform cataract surgery? If the person is dead, why continue? Doesn't make a bit of sense to me at all. What should have happened is when they did finally get to it, over 2 months later, and realized it wouldn't start, they should have given me suggestions and/or options. As a realist, I would have simply had them drop the bike back to me or had someone pick it up and take it to another shop that was more familiar and possibly more qualified to get my bike back on the road. read more

Great work as usual. Had trouble with my bike starting because I let the bike sit a couple of months and the gas screwed up the carb. People don't let your bike sit with out at least starting it up once or twice a month. It doesn't take long for your carb to get fowled up. Hey but if you do like did I would bring to Ron Bishop's any day. They got the carb all cleaned up and she purrs like a kitten now. read more

Two sides to every coin. Our first time paying when everyone was civil, i asked if he offered a cash discount. He couldn't make change so he said I'd owe him. I said i did not like owing anyone. Some companies pass on the savings of credit card transaction fees onto cash customers. Gas stations do it all the time! Nice try. The muffler was installed incorrectly. They put one of their stickers on my bike without prior consent. I did say i am very disappointed in this shop and will be staying adj on yelp. It wasn't over money, it was due to incorrect installation. read more

Excellent shop to come to! Very knowledgeable staff and reliable service. I went to some other shops in the area to shop around and am very happy I decided to bring my bike to Ron Bishop Motorcycles, highly recommend!! read more

These two, father and son, are personally great guys and professionally really know their stuff. Very highly recommend.

When I lived up in Escondildo, Ron was the only guy that I would let wrench on my KTM's. He knows LC4 engines like NO other mechanic. He is definitely a better mechanic than any dealer for KTMs in San DIego county. Great guy to ask advice from too, or just to talk about Baja or off road racing. http://www.motorcyclemuseum.org/halloffame/detail.aspx?RacerID=130 read more

Brought my R6 in for dying on idle, a general service, and chain and sprockets. Completely fair pricing and kept me updated on the progress the whole time. Ended up being clogged exhaust valves (bike has 36k+ miles) and they got my bike back to running like brand new. Most definitely will be back in the future, these guys are awesome. read more

I came to Ron Bishop Motorcycles with my scooter that was damaged from a crash. Insurance didn't want to pay out for the repair and I had a small budget to work with. This scooter was passed down to me from my grandma and it was something that meant more to me than a means of transportation. With their helpful customer service and vast knowledge they managed to restore my scooter to look even better than it did before. Andy and Bradley truly brought this family heirloom back to life and at a rate that was within my budget. I could not be happier with their service and would highly recommend. read more

There's no better motorcycle mechanic in the San Diego area. Ron has been racing and wrenching on motorcycles for nearly half a century. He can make even the most neglected motorcycle run again. He also has a great selection of new KTM's and Husqvarnas. Ron's shop is an off-road racing museum with tons of pictures, memorabilia and old motorcycle parts from years of racing Baja and off-road races throughout the world. read more

Great customer service, I brought my bike in and they have her the tlc she needed. I will go to Ron Bishop bike shop for all my needs, thanks guys read more

I'm sorry to say but I'm not satisfied at all... Took my bike in because it wouldn't stay charged.. First they told me is my rectifier ( $400), then it was the stater ($700) and still didn't fix the problem.. Then I was told that he just cleaned my wiring harness and now it's charging... They had my bike for over 20 days and everytime I called, they said that they will call me back and never did... Long story short, I finally got my bike back and had it for one day before I got on the freeway and dies on me.. Also, after I got it back, she was leaking oil like a 12 year old school girl on her first period... I dropped it off at vista motorcycles and the guy said that if they can't fond the problem with in an hour, he will just give it back and wont charge me anything... The guys are nice and they are trying but I wish they would of just said that they can't do it and saved me my $1100 and still have a problem and then some... read more

Nice place, got my tire installed for a fair price. It reminds me of motorcycle shops from back in the day before they started putting things like boutiques in. Go see them, they are the real deal with a long history in the business. read more

This is the best bike shop to go to! Best service, and prices. A family owned business that is down to earth and gives full attention to each and every bike that comes in and out of the shop. Can't beat it! #RonBishopMotorcycles read more

Ron Bishop is truly an icon in the motorcycling industry. I have purchased three Husabergs from him over the years and would purchase another one from him if he still sold them. He does still sell KTM's and Huskies. Ron is a one man band selling bikes and doing mechanical work. His shop is definately a throw back to the days when motorcycle shop owners were also their own best customer. I would venture to say that he is probably the most competent bike mechanic around. There are a lot of good big box high volume motorcycle shops in the area but Ron's shop virtually stands alone when it comes to his ability and integrity. read more

The best service in all of San Diego County!!!

stopped in just to get a quote on a carb service, and after he told me around $500 dollars Including a valve adjustment, that probably is not even needed?? I got to wondering what the heck do these high priced shops think when they quote someone so ridiculous? afterall the damned bike only cost me $1800, it amazes me that people even consider these kind of shops, ron bishops please stop taking advantage of the people that are on a budget, needless to say, I have got three quotes after this, and ron bishops quote is really scary, and a bummer that shops have the nerve to OVERCHARGE, and get away with it,because some people just have money to waste...attention atv/motorcycle mechanics, these are not cars you are working on!! so please stop charging hourly rates as auto mechanics do!! its getting way out of hand read more
