Quentin and the service team are good, but I wouldn't buy a bike here due to the GM's lack of honesty when I've dealt with him.

Wow -- absolutely love this place. The showroom in Escondido is beautiful and the whole vibe is very welcoming. The staff were super friendly, polite, and genuinely passionate about motorcycles. You can tell they really care about the brand and the riders who walk through the door. I used to own a Triumph Speed Triple, and it was an awesome machine. Triumph has always had that perfect mix of British character, performance, and style. Walking through the showroom brought back great memories. That said, I have to admit -- the MV Agustas they had there... wow. Absolute speed machines from hell. The design is insane, honestly even more striking than most Ducatis. Pure motorcycle art. Great bikes, great people, great atmosphere. If you're into serious machines and legendary brands, this is definitely a place you want to visit. One love. read more

I was looking to get upper and lower crash guards for my Tiger 900 GTP. Uppers were not in stock. Myles in Parts was super responsive, ordered my parts, kept me in the loop and gave me a competitive price. Quentin over in service transparently told me that they were busy right then and to come in on a certain day. Took me in as soon as I showed up. Also checked out a brake lever issue I was having. Completed the work within the time he specified. A huge shout out to these two gents for excellent customer service. read more

I wanted to establish a relationship with a local Ducati dealer, found Moto Forza and asked them to replace a fuel level sensor on my bike . I dropped the bike off with Quentin, the service manager. I requested additional scope: powder coating rear subframe, the brake calipers, and installation of rearsets I had previously purchased. Quentin said 'powder coating was 3-5 days and he would "get the bike on the schedule" to install right after that. A week had passed, and asked Quentin to call the powder coater to get an update but with a sigh and then a long pregnant pause which I interpreted as his annoyance at my request. I never received an update and I think it was another 10-15 days. I requested an updated estimate several times from Quentin as to when the bike was scheduled to be completed, but again I only got a pregnant pause and then an annoyed and dismissive "I don't know...I'll call you when it's done" I reached out to Balz and explained during our call that the bike had been in the service department for nearly 8 weeks and I asked could anything be done to get it expedited sooner ro come pick it up. Balz just referred me back to Quentin. "I have one of my guys working on it with his extra time between other projects. I don't know when it wil be done but I wil call you when it's ready". I'm sorry, but that is not what "on the schedule" means. Another week passed, so I called and Michele in finance answered the phone. She said Quentin wasn't in and wouldn't be back until the following Tuesday, so another weekend would pass. Michele offered to step in. I called Quentin on Tuesday and he clearly sounded annoyed and said he was aware of my call to Michele and to Balz to complain, but I could come pick it up the next day. At pickup, I really started putting it through its paces on the ride home through the curves and heavy high speed traffic The next day, I was doing some work and leaning down to put some new decals on the bike and I immediately noticed that one of the brake caliper bolts was missing on the right front caliper which had fallen over and leaning against the brake disc. The other bolts on the left caliper I was able to loosen bolts as well with just my fingers. This sent a cold chill up my spine considering the real danger I was in on the aggressive drive home that evening and the thought that I might have an accident that left my 13yo Son without a Father. Quentin said the mechanic adamantly remembered torquing down the bolts on the brake calipers and that they would send "someone" to get the bike . I immediately became paranoid that my bike could have been sabotaged, so out of caution I called to make a report with SD Sherriff's Department about what was happening without making any official accusations until there was additional evidence to support , but just so there was a record of what happened should there be a need to escalate further I told Quentin not to come to my house or for him personally to interact with my bike when it arrived in the service department, so I loaded the bike onto my trailer myself the next day and when I arrived to Moto Forza, I spoke with the manager and Michele (who seemed visibly shaken and upset about me being there, even though I had only spoken to everyone in a calm and respectful tone the whole time). The manager suddenly took an aggressive tone with me and told me that they weren't going to work on my bike anymore and told me to leave. I said I wanted to speak to Balz and that I would not leave, but I would leave if they called the police and I received a formal trespass notice so that I had documentation entered into the legal system in addition to the report I had already made previously to SD Sherriff's department. So we did that and I left as I said I would. This all happened in the last 48hrs, but I honestly hope we eventually can rule out sabotage as a possibility, but I would think that Moto Forza would want to work closely with me in any case to determine the real root cause of what happened here and prevent it from happening in my again. It could have been something as easily correctable as an issue requiring retraining of the mechanic to verify and write down recorded torque readings on the work performed. I can't say honestly because Moto Forza doesn't seem to want to investigate this to prevent any similar incidents from happening to other customer getting work done in Moto Forza's service department. Has anyone else had an experience like this with Moto Forza? I am new to San Diego, so please reply and let's see what we can do to make sure riders don't get hurt or killed in the future. I attached here a short video of my brakes. I sent a message to Balz yesterday and offered to sit down with him to try and figure out what happened here. Major major kudos to the whole staff at Moto Forza for the service I got done on my 2019 Triumph Speed Twin this week. I called around a bunch of shops to see what it would cost to get my front forks upgraded on my bike - Myles in the parts dept did some research, called me back quickly, and gave me a GREAT low cost recommendation on a cartridge kit for $510 (Triumph SD wanted $900 for something comparable). When I came in for the service today, everyone in service from Chris to Quentin were very friendly and gave my bike a good once-over. They were careful to only recommend services I needed (specifically, a new rear tire). I ended up going ahead with the recommended rear tire install as well. I came back to pick up the bike and WOW, what a massive upgrade! The bike rides like a brand new machine. It's so planted in corners and buttery smooth on the road now compared to stock. You could tell the install job was obviously done to the highest standard. I couldn't be happier with my end to end experience and the professional job by the team at Moto Forza. 100% my go to shop for all things Triumph in the future. read more

Bought my dream bike from here. The service department didn't do the valve adjustment properly which caused the motor to blow and the bike to get totaled. Moto Forza wouldn't own up to the mistake so I had to have my insurance provider send someone out to do a damage report and prove it was the service departments fault. The whole situation was a massive headache and was handled very unprofessionally. I understand that mistakes happen sometimes. I have been a happy Ducati owner for over twenty years and Moto Forza has been my go-to bike shop. Unfortunately, medical issues have forced me off of my beloved, liter-class, sport bikes. All of my transactions with Balz have been very fair and congenial. I will never forget the excitement that I experienced when I reserved my, limited edition, Paul Smart 1000. It was still in the concept stage and I was a giddy kid, looking at pics of my grail bike. That was a monumental purchase from my friend. Recently (and reluctantly), I sold my beauty back to Balz. I also signed my 2001 ST2 over to him and asked Balz to keep anything that he could aquire for it. It had low mileage and had never been down; however, general maintenance would be more costly than its current worth. Balz insisted that he would split any funds received with me for the project bike. Balz is a person of generosity and integrity. David, in charge of Service, had formerly given me the prognosis for my ST2 and actually suggested that the costs to get my bike in shape would only be warranted if I had a strong emotional attachment - what honesty! Stopped by Moto Forza to inquire about scheduling appointment for Ducati recall and software update. This particular service work was estimated to take 3-4 hours. Kris at service was super accommodating and was able to fit me in their busy schedule on the day I inquired about! Service was completed on time and the bike returned in perfect condition. This may not be something special or worth writing about but it does make big difference when dealership service cares about they customer and makes it an easy and positive experience. I contacted Tony of Moto Forza (aka Vespa North County in Escondido) via their website, inquiring about a new Piaggio BV 350 Scooter. I've been searching for a Maxi-Scooter for the past two years, and by chance came across Moto Forza on Cycle Trader. I've been randomly checking Cycle Trader looking for local dealers of the Yamaha XMAX and Piaggio scooters. The Piaggio's have a really good reputation with their recent years models, and all of the XMAX owners I've talked with told me they considered the comparable sized Piaggio's over the XMAX as their first choice but for other reasons went with the Yamaha. To me personally, the experience with the dealer is as important as the brand, so far Piaggio Dealers have been amazing, including my interaction with Moto Forza. Tony got back to me quickly via e-mail with questions that I had asked (I asked to be contacted by e-mail, because my phone goes to a message service) and he even gave me the Out The Door price for the remaining BV-350's that Moto Forza has/had available. The best price I had come across so far. When you're looking for a Motor-Scooter, similar to a car, dealers show you the MSRP set by the manufacture, but it's usually a lot more, so when a dealer is willing to go out of their way to be upfront about what it's going to cost you, that's a dealer to consider doing business with. After investigating the distance and possible costs for actually getting to Escondido from my location which is around 250 miles round trip, and getting the bike back, I felt it would be a little to inconvenient. Piaggio's sell out really fast, and at the price Tony gave me I think I would need to jump on it faster than I want, at the moment. I have several theories about shopping for a Scooter or Motorcycle, that inform me about the amount of confidence I can place in a dealer, and it all begins with the first contact. 1. Did they respond to my initial e-mail inquiry, or reply at all. 2. If that e-mail leads to a phone call, did I feel like they were interested in helping me find a bike. 3. If the phone call or e-mail leads to an in-person visit, did the owner, sales manager, or sales representative seem eager to assist me. Did they talk to me like I would talk to one of my customers? Did they give me good answers to the questions I asked, even if I already knew the answers? Do I feel like they are being transparent and honest with me. 4. Before making a final decision I read their yelp reviews. My first initial impressions with Tony at Motor Forza, is that if I had decided the distance would work for me, I would continue with a phone call and visit. Moto Forza used to be, yes, used to be as in they no longer are, a great dealership. They've lost their good people and the ones left just do not care. And it shows in everything they do. I bought a bike from them a couple of years ago. Had a great experience but I walked in with a fist full of cash, was lucky enough to encounter a good salesperson and magic was made. I went back in January of 2021. Very different experience. First off, not one employee was masked. It's cool that they do what they want, county health guidelines or no but I don't appreciate it, at all. I don't need to risk my health because their GM doesn't like masks. If you're an easy sale you might have a good experience but bring lots of cash and lots of patience because they are very much in the firm belief that everything they do is right whether you think so or not. It breaks my heart to write any of this because of the good experience in the past but you know what? That doesn't change who they are now and who Moto Forza is now is just another sleazy, easy money dealership with no time to waste. Damn shame. I say AVOID Moto Forza and go elsewhere. I had been shopping between BMW, Ducati and Aprilia for a few months and had gone to numerous dealerships. Best shop in North County to take your Italian bike to for service. I have some niche italian bikes that require specialized knowledge to maintain and I wouldn't trust anybody else to work on them aside from this shop. I went to MotoForza to get a coolant leak repaired on my F4 and was expecting to wait a good while for the overflow reservoir to ship from Italy but the part arrived within a week and I was back on the road. read more

I get my 2018 Ducati Multistrada 1260S serviced here exclusively. Walking into the shop is always exciting - droves of extremely powerful, visceral, expensive superbikes everywhere. Staff are always friendly, and service is transparent. The shop really gives you a familial home-town vibe. The ONE issue I've ever encountered at Forza is that the service department is often booked solid, so it sometimes takes awhile to get an appointment for non-urgent services and issues. However, one time, I had to take my Multistrada in for an urgent seal replacement and fork rebuild - the forks were bleeding all over the front wheel, and I needed help ASAP. On that occasion, they were able to see me immediately. read more

I've had the pleasure of coming by here on and off the last few years, and have always rode away happy with my experience. Years ago I bought some gloves from their retail shop. Then I started attending their trackdays and got to see what they're all about. More recently I finally have an actual Ducati (M1100EVO) so I've been by for parts and service. Short of working with Sales and Finance I feel I've had pretty good exposure to the business and feel confident recommending them to any and all. Myles in Parts has a consistently positive vibe and is super fast with parts quotes, trackday signups etc. Michelle I haven't worked with per se but she's quick with a smile and makes sure you're getting helped out. Chuck in Service is honest and direct with service procedures and pricing, and Balz leads a damn fine trackday. An extended note on the trackdays: People come from all over and bring a wide spectrum of knowledge, attitudes and skill. Syncing everyone up at the riders' meeting is super important to make sure everyone rides safe and has fun. So hats off to Balz and the team. All the friends I've gone with comment on how much they like the vibe of the this group, and I do too. Once thing I really like is the regular events they have on weekends. I actually haven't attended any but I get them in email. From branded demo days to watching MotoGP, it seems like a great way to try out a bike. read more

I had left the store with a slightly used front fender that they had in stock which was not on the showroom floor but I was looking for online desperately. I intended to buy a svartpilen 401 today (7/14/21), cash or with a loan but the customer service just wasn't there. I was given 3 different prices. The last price came from the owner asking $7,780? for $5k bike.. definitely wouldn't pay that but also not worth negotiating with. Guy seemed like a prick and I don't think I want to come back here so I'll just wait for another dealer to get one.. Bad customer service, inconvenient location, & bad prices. read more

Moto Forza does not stand behind their bikes, this is possibly the shadiest dealer I have ever encountered .. I'm posting for a friend of mine, he bought a Husquvarna 701 LR in min July, it was put online without any pics and when I spoke to a salesman he said he was getting it as a trade in, the previous owner was trading up to a more street oriented bike.. Pictures were finally posted (it looked fine) We drove out to CA (From AZ) to pick the bike up, the rear tire had been replaced and the front tire had some damage to it (the rim was also missing paint in several areas). We were then told that the bike was actually a Demo Unit and was to be sold as a New bike (Even though it was a 2020 and had 1800 miles on it) because it hadn't been registered.. This should have been my first Red Flag.. The front tire had several areas where it looked like it had been pinched, this was bad enough that the MF agreed to replace the tire. Everything looked good (at first) but my buddy only did a short test drive, just up the street and back (not familiar with the area and just making sure everything functioned) Into the back of the truck and a 6 hour trip back home, that next weekend we pull the bike out and start off on it's first ride, there was a vibration in the front end that got worse as we sped up .. sure enough, at highway speeds the tire was bouncing ALL OVER the place (i have video), when we get to a friends house we put it on a jack and spin the front tire thining it was just mis-balanced .. nope, the wheel is Egg shaped, and the rim is smacked in several different areas (swelling out) .. this rim had been SMASHED! .. Shit, ok, a call to MF when they open 2 days of calling with no return calls, We take the wheels down to the local Husky Dealer, the dealer can see the obivous damage to the wheel, they start trying to get it warrantied through Husky, while we try to see what MF can do for us .. MF finally sends an email and i'm going nto paraphrase here (i have it if needed) Fuck off, you test rode it and we put a new tire on it, the Tech who replaced the tire did not warrant any conerns about the rim scratches and dings when mounting the new tire ... bla bla, bullshit .. "No further action or good will, will accompany this email in regards to the bike purchased" So Moto Forza will not attempt to fix a bike that they sold that is UNSAFE to drive, my buddy paid full asking price for a "Press Bike" and they will no make no attempt to offer help in fixing or replacing the wheel or rim, not even an offer to get parts at price .. just a straight up Piss Off .. This dealer is the shadiest most unprofessional dealer I have ever worked with, I will be reporting their practices to the manufactures they work with and I strongly suggest that everyone stay away from this dealer, they sold a bike that was obviously (to the tech) damaged and unsafe to ride, as it stands now, only our local dealer is trying to do anything about the damage, and we are stuck with a paperweight until this is resolved.. read more
