I again admit I bought first then came across many bad reviews and got pissed and frustrated and jumped to conclusions etc... But the fuselage I bought was delivered in perfect condition and I was feeling pretty foolish.... I do admit i did send a few emails but it took a while to respond but people get busy...All I know is you cant jump all over yourself give them a chance and see , Id buy again from them ... I did bring up about all the bad reviews but his answer was people jump fast on saying shit then its just out there ...what they dont see is all the emails that come in just like we were communicating right then via emails read more

I would not recommend buying items from them. I purchased something and paid expedited shipping and was told that it takes their warehouse 3 to 4 days to process the order for shipping. I only found this out by calling them because I never received my order and it was showing transaction pending in my bank account. I paid for 2 day expedited shipping and when I asked their customer service rep to please speak to a manager, he put me on hold and said that no one was available, and he would just refund my order. I told him NOT to cancel my order, but I want a manager to contact me. There is nothing on their website that states it take 3 to 4 days to process your order for shipment and if it did, I sure would have not wasted my time to order from them and paying for the expedited shipping fee. I am still waiting for someone, a manager or someone that cares about their business to contact me. Until then, in my opinion stay clear of ordering from them unless you have a lot of time to wait! read more

This business is doing business as Active Powersports, an RC car & airplane dealer. They don't list there number 760-746-0600 because they claim they don't offer customer service. And they don't. They don't even respond to email. They just charge cards for merchandise they claim to have in stock. Once orders are received, they place orders and you wait a month. Don't trust me, check them out on the BBB website. 20+ comments experiencing the same thing. After tracking down the order and discussing the issue Greg (the owner), he could care less for customers. Almost a disdain for them. Steer clear at all costs. read more

I as everyone else here. While my issues started shortly after the pandemic and I order model train items that were out of stock everywhere...Answered one email and then silence. No updates on order as the ship date came and gone. Tried 2-3 more times to contact asking for updates. Still nothing. So I started a request with my CC company for a refund. Took 1.5 months but I got my refund. Lucky for me I kept ALL communications answered or not and it was very simple to get my money back. I feel sad for the other folks here going thru the same. Beware of this FAKE company and stay away! read more

I believe this company takes advantage of Apple Pays immediate payment method with no protection. They take payment and then immediately notify you the product us on back order. They give you the option to cancel or wait. Those who decide to wait are the suckers. I believe they profit off of those who forget, and refund those who don't and request a refund. A very unique low key passive "forgetfulness" fraud that plays out over weeks/months. Shame on these scoundrels. Thieves who found a long game with immediate payout and no penalty. read more

Horrible experience. Ordered supposedly in stock RC items, and got an email saying they're on backorder. 2 months later, I FINALLY get my package after many email follow ups by me. One of the items was still not available, and they said they would issue a refund. I'm still waiting! HORRIBLE communication and service. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from these guys. Update: I did get my refund a week after this review. Coincidence? I don't know. I raised their rating to 2 stars. read more

Like numerous, numerous others have states, they advertise a product is available, only to tell you it is not. Ordered a product that clearly was "in stock", and then received this: Hello Unfortunately the item that you ordered is currently back ordered until early June. I will keep your order open and ship as soon as it arrives unless I hear differently from you. Thank you Greg Stay away. read more

This seems very odd about all these reviews . I have been ordering from Escondido Powersports for 4-5 years now and never have I experienced any of those types of issues, I have purchased at least a couple thousand dollars from them and no problems, my brother has also been buying from these guys for his cycles and spent more than me, with no issues. So just My opinion! read more

They got my order to me quickly. Left a message on their voicemail, they promptly took care of it.

8 weeks of silence for a $400 order that got a "we're out of stock for a couple weeks but will place this order unless you cancel" response almost immediately after I placed the order. Going to the CC company for a refund now, this whole company feels like a scam. read more

I ordered several different parts for our Maverick X3, to include a K&N air filter. The air filter did not fit. I called to return since I was sent the wrong part. Im expected to pay for return shipping due to their mistake. He claimed I ordered the wrong one and they don't even carry the correct one for our SxS. I'm certain I typed in the correct year and model (the other parts are correct so I had to of). I feel they should be responsible for the return shipping since the mistake is theirs. read more

Escondido Powersports is a worthless company that charges your credit card and never ships product. Two orders placed, and three weeks later they've charged my credit card but cancelled the orders. They offer NO customer support, and are SCAMMERS! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Absolutely terrible. Took 10 days and 2 emails, threatening to do a charge-back, before my order finally shipped. Then only half of it arrived, although according to the website the entire order was shipped together. This seems like somebody's half-assed attempt at a webstore, rather than a real business. read more

I wish I had read the reviews first. I had a similar experience to other reviewers. I ordered nine RC model airplane parts from the Active Powersports branch website, but two of the items were missing in the shipment. I sent an email to them. It's been 2 week-days since I sent an email describing the problem but did not receive any response within the 24 hour period they state on their web site. There was no packing slip or mention as to why those two items were not included in the shipment, but they took my money for ALL the items. I also tried calling their 760-746-0600 number several times, but just got a message that their agents were busy... I do NOT recommend doing business with this company even though they have low prices. Like the saying goes, "you get what you pay..." Now, it looks like I too have to go through the grief of dealing with this company's incompetence! It isn't worth the savings... read more

I actually think it should a 0 star rating cause this place is a joke. I typically don't do Yelp reviews but I'll make an exception for these guys. I ordered a product through their online store. I was notified a day later that the order is now awaiting shipment. Three days go by -- no further updates. I emailed them on the 4th day to check on the status -- did not receive a reply. A couple of days later I emailed them again -- this time, I threatened to file a complaint against them on Paypal if I don't hear a reply within a day or so (their website states that they reply to emails within 24 hours during weekdays). They refunded my order the following day. Don't WASTE your time with these guys. The price stated on their website is low but you will NOT get your product. All the 1 star reviews are real -- the 5 star review is definitely a fake. read more

Long shipping times, unlike the 3-4 days they mention on the website. Incredibly high shipping charges. I wanted 1 part, added 2 additional parts to make up for the stupid-high shipping. The main part I wanted was not shipped, and after I contacted the company they refunded me for that part and told me it was on backorder. Continued to question why they didn't email me when they weren't going to ship the part and I was told they couldn't do anything for me. I was even told that their shipping price was the best around because they ship so much, and accused me of lying about what I could ship the parts back to them for. $4.60 to get the parts back to them, they charged $12. Avoid this company. read more

ActivePowerSports.com operating under Escondidopowersports, original DBA was ExplosivePowerSports - BTW these guys have went through 3 or 4 Business Names.. Shady!!!! I ordered Rc Parts and they tried to send me an incomplete order and scam me like everyone else.. but because I ordered though paypal they had no choice to refund my money.. but only after I threatened them with a Charge Back on my credit card side. If you ordered direct from their website ActivePowerSports.com with a Debit Card you are SOL.. Their strategy is to drag the order processing out past 30 days making it impossible to get your money back.. I you press them before the 30 day mark, they will purposefully send an incomplete order and keep the rest of your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

So these folks are infamous for unhappy customers, but my experience was okay. I ordered a dozen bottles of Lionel Smoke Fluid from their hobby site activepowersports.com. Their price was the best of anywhere, even with shipping, so I rolled the dice. A week after ordering, it took three emails to even get a terse reply to my query as to where my order was. It arrived today, exactly what I ordered. It took 13 days from order until arrival at my house, which was shipped Fedex from San Diego to Long Beach (overnight for Fedex ground.) It actually shipped yesterday, 12 days after I placed the order. So pretty clear they don't have items in stock, and it's just a matter of them ordering from their supplier and then shipping to the customer. I did have one previous experience where they advertised an item that was out of stock everywhere else. After taking my money, I eventually determined that they didn't have it and weren't going to get it. So they did refund my money, but it was a pain and a waste of time. This place is not a scam -- *if* they can get what you want, they have great prices, but a website that claims they have everything (they don't) and really REALLY weak customer service. read more

I recently placed an order for a 20 inch curved light bar for my ford raptor. The price was insanely cheap and usually if something is that cheap on the internet there is good reason! I started reading reviews after I placed my order impulsively. (Which was a backward way of handling things) all these horrible reviews scared the crap out of me I thought I'd most likely lose my money. I sent an email and instantly received a response. I got shipping info in less than 24 hrs of placing the order and my order came in perfect condition well boxed and great quality. maybe I'm a lucky customer but tbh besides these shady reviews there was nothing weird about my complete transaction with this website. Sikkwear is owned by Escondido Power Sports....so beware buyers!! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!! I tried emailing the company twice about my orders and they don't respond, and of course they have no phone number listed on there website. I placed an order 6 weeks ago all I got was an email saying it was in back order. No contact info and don't return emails....SCUMBAGS!!

This company (SCAM SITE) operates under multiple names and pulls the same scam on every one of their deals. They take your money and instantly tell you the item is on back order. They have no warehouses anywhere and are a total FRAUD. I ordered a GPS antenna from them at an incredible price, got the typical "back order message" and got suspicious immediately and started researching this SCAM SITE... Luckily for me it was the next day AND I had ordered through PayPal. When I emailed these clowns asking why an item listed as "in stock" was suddenly back ordered the very rude SOB told me they placed an order with the factory and it will ship when it ships... To that I replied I had now seen all the negative reviews and doubted their legitimacy especially since the item in question was available for shipping from dozens of other online retailer. He got pissed and wrote some very unkind words to which I replied "Should I cancel my order through PayPal, or will you do it now" never another word from them but I did get a full refund... So glad I checked them out before too much time passed. Make no mistake.. if it looks too good to be true, it is! TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS! BEWARE! read more
