Wonderful service, great ambiance, great food. Ordered pizzas, vegetable fried rice, beans and rice dish, the sandwich, and Diablo shrimp, and the pork meat, everything was delicious. Had a Blue eyes drink that was very tasty and strong. The fried rice that came with dinner was wonderful. The rice and beans were just ok. The pork dish needed to be fried a little bit more but everything was wonderful. Our waiter was great, we enjoyed the music while we ate. People danced and had a great time. I do recommend this place, you can't go wrong. Plenty of options. The bread basket was awesome.

GRILLED SALMON SPINACH SALAD
Tara B.

Gorgeous view for dinner! The beau and I stopped in after a long day at the pool and beach. They do have a dress code so be mindful of that. Nothing too fancy though. I had on my swimsuit and the hostess asked me to put bottoms on. I had my coverup pants with me and those were perfect. We went in around 5:30PM. Not too many patrons there but the service was pretty slow for my speed. Of course started with drinks! I'd been wanting a mojito and was stoked when I saw a mixologist with a cart! "Happy Hour" special for anything domestic. I got a blueberry mojito and the beau ordered a passion fruit mojito. Made with fresh fruit, fresh mint, Canada Dry ginger ale and rum!! Not our normal drinks so the disappointment was real! Couldn't taste any alcohol in it. About the only flavor present was the mint and it tasted very watered down. Oh well. GRILLED SALMON SPINACH SALAD - Comes with bacon, mushrooms, tomato, avocado, candied nuts, goat cheese, and honey mustard dressing. I left the nuts off. The salmon was medium rare so if you like it cooked differently request so when you order. I didn't mind it one bit, it was super flavorful and juicy! There was a great deal of dressing on the salad as well, which I also didn't mind. All of the ingredients paired so well together and the goat cheese was an amazing addition. The creaminess of that the cheese, the flavor of the salmon, the crunch of the bacon, texture of the mushrooms and peppers along side the slight bitterness of the spinach and honey mustard dressing!! Oh So Gooood! MIXED LO MEIN Asian noodles with chicken, beef, and shrimp, broccoli, onion, mushrooms, and soy bean sprouts. I was so supposed how good this dish was! They totally got all the favors right! This dish was absolutely delicioso! I haven't had lo mein this good in a while so the fact that these guys did not let me down is awesome!! The waiter said that they have a live band every night at 7 and they have a pretty big dance floor. It would have been interesting to see that but we didn't stay any longer. The food is a 5, environment is a 5 but the slow service definitely brought it down a star.

Masita's with fried rice & yuca w/ Cuban mojo

Haven eaten at this restaurant several times over the past year, my family & I have tried many items: The bar cart made a way better mojito than the bar. The Cuban sandwich is really good and the club sandwich is decent too. You need to try the Grilled Angus Burger-- quite a good size & delicious. With the sandwiches & burger fries were served on the side and are quite tasty! I would get the Masitas again, with the fried rice, but not the yuca -- it was just too plain, nearly tasteless. The Coconut Shrimp was good, but it wasn't enough for a meal. The Mixed Lo-Mein was extremely tasty.

Havana Moon is a large restaurant located on the beach on the Grand Mayan, Playa del Carmen, Mexico property. Sometimes live music entertainment is played with a large dance floor. There is also al fresco tables over looking the ocean. Ideal area for weddings or such also lighted sand area with seating. I had a chicken stir fry dish with lots of vegetables and a sweet and sour sauce. It was very tasty dish. Service was friendly and accommodating.

Lucio was our server and did an excellent job. He was very attentive and probably the sweetest person I've met. He was very knowledgeable about all the food and was very grateful for our service. Overall the food was really good! I had the mixed chow mein!! Ambiance was also very beach vibes and also had a live band going!! 10/10 recommend coming here.

Located in the vidanta complex, Havana moon is not what you would expect. The restaurant is not Cuban but actually a mixture of Asian, Mexican and other flavors. The large, open restaurant has a varied menu. A little of everything. Service is good. The shrimp tacos were standard. Flavors good. The beef dish reminded me too much of Chinese food, which felt heavy and a bit greasy. Overall, solid food, just not my pick.

I should have listened to the reviews. This is neither, mexican, cuban, carribean nor asian as it states. Had the thai noodles. Could barely eat it as it was so salty. We also ordered the cuban sando, coconut shrimp, bbq chicken sandwich, fried calimari and beef kabobs. Sorry to say the food is just not good. Waiter was good. Drinks ok. The cuban didn't even have pickles. The coconut shrimp had curry and fried rice. Our bill was 135.00 for 4 and 2 had sandwiches. Would not recommend. Even though we were captive at this resort.

Great place to be any time of the day. The lizards are vegetarian, so slip them some food, it'll be your treat. Enjoy

Great brunch, but clearly money talks here for great seating during dinner. First they say we didn't need reservations but clearly that changed the date of the dinner party. Great view, food was good. Don't expect an authentic Cuban experience. You can dance, you can sit on the couches outside on the other side, but only for take out. So dumb. The outside beach view if you can get it is well worth it. Make sure to get two for one when you can.

I liked the energy of the restaurant and enjoyed the music. It has a bright and beachy vibe to it. There is an indoor and outdoor area which is nice to have the option. I ordered a noodle dish and I enjoyed it very much. They have a variety of options and recommend coming.

Not awesome margarita

Gorgeous setting on the ocean. Limited seating outside. Bread was hard and stale. Appetizers were very good with shrimp tacos and spring rolls. We both ordered pizza and they were decent but crust pale in comparison to true Italian or NY style.

Love Love Love! The staff are amazing, the food was phenomenal and you wish you left room for dessert, but you couldn't stop picking at your meal, even though you've told everyone you're stuffed. Delicious

Havana Moon has a fun & beautiful ambiance. It's sits on the beach overlooking the ocean in The Mayan Palace. We enjoyed the ceviche, enchiladas & fried rice. The ceviche was fresh & delicious! The enchiladas were tasty & unique. It seems this restaurant is more of a mixture of cuisines & does not focus on Cuban food. The price point is high for Mexican standards, ambiance & quality. The music was loud & good but I want to hear Cuban salsa, salsa or any Mexican music if I am in Mexico! Not top 40 American hits.

10 stars And our server Jorge was the nicest human on earth. If I could tip him $1000 I would. The chef needed a tip also!

Mar-Bella is a must visit if you're staying near Puerto Morelos. They provide a needed break from
read morestandard resort food and have some of the best seafood I've had in my life. The restaurant ambiance is amazing as you're right on the beach with a great view of the ocean. They also had great music to provide fun energy to the place. The meal generally starts with items from their raw bar. This time we had a mixture of Hamachi, Blue-Fin Tuna, and Octopus. All of which were served together in an amazing sauce/dressing. They give you loads of chips and salsa's to pick at as well. For the main, they have a variety of daily catches that are (and sometimes aren't) available. We went with the Snook, which they let us hand pick. We also ordered it with Lobster tail and crab legs. Both were amazing and came with Garlic Butter sauce for dipping. The Lobster was my favorite. Additionally they gave us squid ink rice and creamy pasta to accompany the fish. Service was pretty solid as well and the team there is fun and wants you to have a great time. We had a group of 19 and they gave us an awesome experience.

Gonna start with this was a wonderful place
read more First the atmosphere: A down-to-earth hole in the wall from the streets. We were drawn in by a fella play "Outstanding" 70's & 80's music, such as Journey, AC/DC, Bryan Adams, and even Santana. He was a wonderful performer. The walls are lined with various vehicle license plates. Most are from the US. All the staff was friendly spoke English well, which helped us stupid Americans who can't speak anything other than, not that great English As for the meals. There were four of us today and all our meals were great. Very filling large portions. The wifey had the Fish Tacos and she even let me try a piece of fish. She loved it and I have to say the fish piece had a wonderful flavor. I had the chicken and cheese quesadilla. Again filled with medium-sized chicken pieces. I'm a big eater and will tell you my 4 quesadillas filled me up. The wife and I had bottled sodas and my friends had beer. Lastly, I'm writing this the next day and as a traveler, like us, you might be concern about any "after effects." Well, there were zero! So I will say this if here - give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!

My friends and I ate here during our spring break trip this week, and the food was excellent. My

Three years prior it was known as Blue Fish and the food was memorable and tasty. Now it's called
read moreLimon y Sal. The menu changed up a bit but still offers seafood. Service needs work. The good: - Located at the Grand Mayan, pool side. - Precautions are taken with covid. Servers wear masks. Tables are socially distanced. - You can sit outdoors and have a meal. - Guacamole and assorted cracker basket pair well together. The bad: - Nachos are horrible. Do not order unless you want to eat burnt tortillas doused in rancid oil. - Severely understaffed in one of the busiest locations. - Doesn't offer water. It must be bought. Went for lunch while hanging out by the pool. I had been a few times in recent years so was happy to be back until this experience.. I had sat down and ordered before a large table was being served, except, they received their appetizers and drinks before me. I chalked it up to minimal wait staff. The nachos I got as an appetizer didn't look right. Many chips were burnt to a crisp. Thinking nothing of it, I began picking at the middle parts but a couple bites in determined that they didn't taste right either. The person I was with agreed. To me, they tasted like the oil had been reused over and over. I waived down the server to express my dislike. He didn't seem impressed. Seeing other tables recieve a complimentary chip basket that we didn't get was strange, so I waived down another server to ask about it. The server we asked wasn't our guy so he passed on the memo and our guy returned annoyed by the request saying he had forgotten. Plus everything took so long.. Given that I had to switch out the nachos for something else, went with the mixed yellow ceviche (appetizer), which was really good and made up for all the earlier mishaps. My dining companion requested a grilled salmon burger. They had eaten it at another location on the property one night and compared the two; this fishy was much smaller in size. Yet, we made do. My ceviche was really good. There were lots of different kinds of seafood in it; scallops, octopus, grouper and salmon in a citrus marinade. It came with nothing but since we had a complimentary assorted chip basket, that's what I ate it with. Keep in mind that they have two menus; lunch and dinner. Not all the offerings are provided in both menus. Lunch has more selection.

We stayed at the Vidanta resort, and just like most resorts they have everything from restaurants
read moreto shops, to entertainment, to pools so everything is at the tip of your fingers. We decided to check out the Blue Fish since we heard from a couple of people their ceviche was good. We decided to give it a try & see if the Blue Fish really lived up to its hype. Upon arrival , the restaurant was very modern , and the vibrant colors filled the room with its lavish surroundings. I loved the ambiance of the place. The service was excellent, and the ac was blasting which was really nice. I also loved the complimentary bucket of chips. It was different and had plantains and sweet potato chips on top of the tortilla chips. The 2 dipping sauces were both very good as well. Drinks Margarita: The margarita was okay. I was hoping they'd have a lime on the edge. It was a little bitter for my liking but it was drinkable. 3/5 Chavela: My God I think this would have to be the best Chavela I've ever tried. It had a nice balance of saltiness and was super refreshing. 5/5 Food Mixed Yellow Ceviche: This ceviche had a mix of different fish. It had scallop, octopus ,grouper ,fresh salmon, with a yellow Peruvian citrus chili sauce and cilantro .I loved the flavor. It tasted like it had coconut, ginger, and citrus. It was amazing. Had this twice because it was that good. MUST HAVE! 5/5 Peruano Ceviche: Carribean grouper, red onion , Monzano chili pepper , lime juice and cilantro . This one was okay. Just tasted very citrusy (lime ) felt like it was missing something. 3/5 Annato Crispy Calamari: This dish was Such a disappointment . The Calamari was burnt to a crisp and almost tasted like fried squid. It was too over cooked 1/5 Tacos Gobernador: I've never had shrimp tacos before and this one really blew Me away . The tortillas were fresh, the shrimp was marinated in chipotle Chile & the Oaxaca cheese tied everything together. It was amazing!5/5 Seafood Alambre tacos: I thought I would've been sick of tacos already but nope. They have so many different variations , why not try everything. This taco was a little unusual ( in a good way ) It had shrimp , octopus , calamari , and scallops cooked in bacon . Yes you heard me , bacon . Bacon makes everything taste better. The flavors meshed well together and the tomato avocado salsa made it exceptional.5/5 Overall this place was our go to since we were craving seafood a lot and the ceviche really hit the spot. The service here is amazing and our waiter Josue really gave us world class service . Our table kept rocking back and forth since the floor wasn't leveled and he took out a paper, folded it and stuck it under one of the legs and voila , problem fixed . 5 star service . As for the food stick with the mixed yellow ceviche and the gobernador tacos and trust me you won't be disappointed!
