I've had much better and much worse. The cigar, JFR, was rather under humidified and wrapper was cracking/peeling away. Ash trays were also an issue as there was no holder, so you either carefully balanced it or it fell on the table. Some minor improvements could really help its overall appeal. read more

We love coming here for a nightcap or as our main venue. It's cozy, the music is great, enough room to sit and enjoy the atmosphere and people watch, and a great bourbon/whiskey/scotch collection! We've always had good experiences here, but I have to say, it's a summer locale. The smoke really is way too much in the winter with the ventilation system they have. They open the garage doors in the summer so it's open and airy, but in the winter the smoke inside can be overwhelming after a few minutes. My sister-in-law made dinner arrangements at Twisted Fork early enough that we could get to Havana Garage in time to listen to live music from 8-11 pm. We LOVED Havana Garage. We had different servers but my favorite was Andrea McCain. I asked if she was the owner because she was incredibly invested in each table to would stop at; cutting cigars, lighting cigars, offering ideas on drinks. In Omaha on business and hunting a place to watch the National Championship between Alabama and Georgia. After telling her I am a cigar smoker, the Uber driver (Rita) from the airport suggested I try Havana Garage. It is a nice downtown place in an entertainment area called the Old Market. Plenty of bars and restaurants. The Havana Garage is a good sized place, with bar seating for about a dozen and high-tops and tables for another thirty or so. They have a small humidor, with a modest assortment. However, they also own a cigar shop about thirty yards from the lounge. The cigar store has an impressive selection at very good prices. I am a beer drinker, which they certainly have, but the bar's forte is clearly whiskey and such. They had a large selection of everything from daily drinkers up to Macallan M and some very high-end The Belvene. I grabbed a seat at the bar, fired up the cigar I purchased from their nearby shop and got an ice-cold beer. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. If you ever find yourself in downtown Omaha and are looking for a good cigar bar, the Havana Garage is a great choice. Highly recommend. read more

Can't believe I never finished this. It's my wife's favorite place to take me when I want a cigar! Everything about this location is, for us, ideal. Full bar, full humidor, reasonable prices. Great service. Allows us to bring our dogs. Friendly customers. Reasonable venting (important for a cigar club). Has outdoor seating, front and back, plus generous seating upstairs and a few spots in the basement. There's even musicians playing some nights. Their sister store around the corner stocks pipe tobacco, too, if one's more of that predilection. I like both, so I enjoy knowing I can stock up before or after visiting. read more

So I have one for sure thing that I do when in Omaha... I go downtown and have a cigar at Havana garage... It might not be an option for much longer. I hope I am wrong. My father and I showed up after dinner to watch some Monday night football. We walked in and immediately were told to put mask on and keep them on. Ok your place your rules. I will follow the house rules. But when the bartenders friends walked in with no mask it was not an issue! So that's small potato's. Walked down the stairs to grab a cigar from their humidor. I have always been excited about that because that have a great selection of cigars... well at least they had a huge selection. The humidor was 90% empty. My guess is they only had around 50 sticks in the humidor total. So we inquired about the lack of cigars and were told some story about the suppliers not having enough cigars to supply them! The two other cigar shops we had visited were completely stocked from floor to ceiling. So I don't know why their supply would be limited. Upon sitting down and lighting up my AVO cigar which was a nice smoke. We turned our attention to the game. Trying to enjoy the game when the biggest table in the room just started to get really loud and obnoxious. I am ok with loud, but when it's F this and f that and f you it's just uncalled for. So that was a put off. I hope that this place survives, lord knows Covid put a hurting on everyone. But this place felt like it was on its last breath. I was waiting for my friend to finish his drink when I was told I could not even stay on premises. I am 38 year old- the white on my beard is a clear indication I am legal to drink. Visited last Weekend and last night. They had a pretty good blues band playing called "The Alley Cats" this weekend and a pretty nice crowd. Not really a smoker, but I partook to enjoy the experience. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a flavorful short cigar called "moon trance". It had a sweet flavor and did not leave a resonating taste of chimney ash in my mouth. Although, it is customary to enjoy cigars with scotch. I am not that educated on scotch and have not acquired the taste. But I did enjoy a nice glass of "Jack and honey" . Last night, we went again off a whim after reverse happy hour at Hiro's 88. (Will be reviewing that one shortly.) The atmosphere was different; much more laid back . My friends and I enjoyed another "moon trance" and the group beside us who were in town on business brought us all "Patron" Cigars and a round of drinks. Needless to say the patrons are friendly, the drinks are reasonable and bathrooms are clean. read more

Overall, this is a definitely a cool place and a great place to people watch and relax. Here is the problem: My fiance and I went there for the "In The Market For Blues" event and when she ordered a glass of wine, the waitress gave her a few suggestions. We both know our wine and have traveled to different wine regions around the world. Our friend ordered a Jack and Coke. When the bill came, our friend's drink was 6 bucks. Our glass of wine? 9 bucks. Seriously? It was an average glass of wine, at best, and 9 bucks? At a minimum, the waitress should have told us the prices of the wine since she didn't offer a wine list. And, if anything, sell us the house wine. And there is no way the house wine is 9 bucks for 5 ounces. If it does, it is horrible house wine along with absurdly overpriced. Anyway, this was our first time there and we probably won't be returning anytime soon, if ever. Definitely disappointed as many of our friends have raved about this. Good cigar bar. Two level bar with outside seating on a large patio in the back and outdoor seating on the street in the front, live music and a nice selection of cigars in the walk-in humidor. Most of the cigars are in the $10 and up range. Possibly a little pricey for the area but you can always bring your own sticks. The staff is a little slow so be persistent and patient they will eventually get to you. If you are in a hurry walk up to the bar and order drinks for the group. The patio is nice, the music works it's way out there and you are able to have a good conversation without having to yell. Indoors is a little tight, especially upstairs. Downstairs is nice but the servers are lacking, we had to wave them down from above. Mostly a guys crowd but you do have some ladies kicking back and enjoying a heater. If you like cigars, enjoy live music, and want to relax with your favorite cocktail then I would recommend putting Havana Garage on your list. read more
