This tiny, delightful shop and bar it's a hidden gem for Dundee. Tucked away on 50th, off the main row, it deserves mention. We've been several times, and will return. Seating can be had for a large group if you're lucky. Timing is everything. Lots of folks enjoy this shop at varied times. For us, as a couple, there has always been space in warm weather. When it's too cold outside, the interior is small and charming. Not meant for a mob, though. The selection of bottles is modest and good quality. By-the-glass has yet to disappoint either. The prices are, to my mind, reasonable. The service is friendly and prompt. They even sell cigars, though I've yet to see anyone smoking them. Must remember to ask about that. read more

Been here a couple times with friends. This place is cute, but it's very small; on the weekends it's hard to get a seat. Our bartender told us they have a 2 drink minimum for tables; so they can ask you to leave if someone else needs the table - just a heads up. They have decent prices for their drinks and they have deals each day. They have a pretty good wine selection for being as small as they are and they can make pretty much any drink you would want to get at a bar. Not fancy, but quaint. Service wasn't anything to rave about, but it was good enough. They do have a few places to sit outside if you want to catch up with some friends and take in the sights of Dundee! read more

While I don't go here often, when I do, I have a good time. For me, this is a nice spot to grab a drink or two on a weekend afternoon or early evening during the week. It's tiny, so if there's 20 people or more, it feels crowded. And this place definitely has its quirks. For one, there's a resident pooch that can always be found here. There are diehard regulars that I swear basically live here. That said, all are welcome and you'll find 20-somethings on up to 60-somethings hanging out having a good time in this cozy, worn-in little hole. For drinks, you'll naturally find a great selection of wine. Beyond that, there's a solid list of whiskies and bottled beer. For cocktails, they are known for their Moscow mules. I know there were some issues here last NYE. I hope they've since been resolved and the staff makes sure this is a safe place for all. read more

When I'm at Cork & Bottle I end up getting the Moscow Mule. It's the only place in town that I know of currently that makes it, and trusts people with the copper cups it comes in. Don't be offended if they take your ID as leverage to get the cup back. The outdoor patio is awesome, but lends itself to being smoky sometimes... this place is a cigar-store after all. read more

Surprised that I have not reviewed this great little wine/bar spot. Im not sure how long Cork and Bottle has been around but I feel like it has been 20 years. The place is "SMALL" But had everything and beyond for what you could want to drink. Great dundee watching from a couple patio tables outside, as well as a couple high tops inside with a small corner bar. We usually end up here after a dinner and wander down later in the night. Fabulous service and some great bottles of wine for an awesome price. If you are looking for a small intimate feeling wine shop this is your place. great vibe and fun people come here! i was visiting out of town and i met several cool people and had a great time i had 2 whisky sours with makers and a cigar. which came out to around 30 bucks with tip. the cigar was a bit on the dry side , they also don't have wood matches or torch lighters so its not really a cigar bar. but i was happy to find the spot. they might need to invest in a better humidor you can smoke outside in the sidewalk and still talk to patros parking is free on the street no issues with service overall, i had a fun time! read more

Not just a place to chill. This small hole in a patio space in Dundee has always been a favorite of mine. Since the day my wife took me for a bottle of cold white wine on a hot day and we sat outside on a simple picnic table. We shared what was most important, a conversation about the future. That is what's so important about dives like this. Good wine, good atmosphere, and good conversation! I just wish there were more like this. Created in the small unused crevasses of Omaha so that they could survive with such a simple business model. I love it, can't wait to return! Don't tell anyone else about this gem! read more

Changed my previously good opinion of this bar, which I have gone to for years and years (I used to live right across the street), to one star after what happened to me on New Year's Eve. My boyfriend and I were appalled when a man spanked me at the bar and threatened to spank my friend. When I told the staff a stranger had just hit me and to do something about it, one member of staff and one of his friends at the bar promised he would be and not to worry about it. The man was not ejected, and he came at me a second time after about 25 minutes. My boyfriend had to shout down him and his buddies (something I had already done after the first incident but hey, who listens to women about their own wishes not to be assaulted, right?) and the group was STILL allowed to stay, buy more drinks, shoot us dirty looks all night and thoroughly ruin our New Year's Eve. When I talked to manager about it, she asked me what I expected on New Year's Eve, that people are drunk jerks and this stuff happens. When I pointed out that it wasn't an excuse for what had happened, she apologized and said next time come straight to her about it. I tried to give her a description of the man so she could bar him but she said it wasn't necessary. Our business is lost here. It's crazy that we had to ask multiple times that these people be ejected. It's crazy they were still there when we left. My boyfriend personally knows the staff and is more disappointed than I am. FYI to other customers, if this happens to you, just kick them out yourself or call the cops right away. Not worth asking staff to be decent and help you in a time of need. If this is how a bar run by familiar faces reacts, we are really sad to think of what strangers' chances of being safe would be. I saw the C&B posted a few photos before and after the incident there on NYE, and that people were commenting and asking why the bar was posting new photos but not addressing concerned posts and reviews about what happened. Since then, C&B family members were asking what our "end game" was, accusing the community of being "bullies" to their small business and blaming people who were mad as "bad feminists." The bar "liked" these comments, along with comments assassinating my character and insisting that myself and the four other women were never bothered. The C&B has since deleted the photos, along with the family's comments and community outrage to the comments. We were big fans of the bar for years previous to this, and staff had been friends with my boyfriend. Totally shocked and dismayed when this happened, and beyond so since. Public safety and human decency are not "end games." My desire is to secure safe spaces in community supported public places for everyone. That should be the "end game" for them too. Basic human decency would have been to eject the problem, ask us how we were, walk us to our cars and/or issue a statement that assault isn't welcome at the C&B. None of these things were done, and now they're deleting photos to hide what they said, censor the complaints on their page and ignore the reviews. From my experience in crisis communications, service industry, bar conflict protocol and general business management, this is wrong. The C&B seems more concerned with public image and protecting profit margins than making sure me and the other people being harassed there that night were safe. I didn't take my coat off that night even though I was overly warm and uncomfortable because I was wearing a dress and thought that might prompt the assaulter to come at me again. He did in spite of that, yet he was still not ejected. I took more pains that night to ensure my own and my party's safety than the bar ever bothered to show us then or in ensuing days. If the Cork and Bottle had any interest in finding out who the men were they could look through their receipts of that night and see which three men ordered rounds of White Russians. That's what a helpful bar would do. I would have told them that too, if they ever bothered asking. The one man who assaulted me twice had black hair and glasses. I pointed him out at the time and even described him to Andrea so they could bar him but she said it wasn't necessary. They were sitting at the center table, ours was the table near the window next to theirs (just in case that helps further identify them, as some places number their tables when they ring orders in). Instead, I see people on their Facebook page commenting how weird it is that we left a tip (which I always do regardless of service, because I have worked service industry jobs and know how bad it is) and asking why we ordered Cheezeits. Someone wrote C&Bs attorney told them not to even comment about this. Can't believe the bar is more invested in not addressing what the women that night had to deal with instead of holding those men responsible. read more

The Cork and Bottle has a great selection of wine and bottled beer. There are no beers on tap. C&B is very cozy, with all seating on stools around tables and the bar. The music playing is always good, and the bar tenders are very welcoming. No food is served (except for bags of chips for sale), but you can order at Amsterdam Falafel next door and have them deliver it down. The best part is the outdoor booths in front of the building. On nice days, these are crowded with all kinds of folks conversing, chatting with passersby, and generally enjoying Dundee. read more

Ok, here is what I love about the Cork & Bottle, the smell. Why? Because it smells exactly like the little pubs & taverns that I frequented while I lived and traveled abroad. Every time I walk in the door it takes me back to the pubs in Galway or the little bar I practically lived at in Paris. It is small & cozy and when you go there you can just relax & enjoy everyone's company. The regulars are friendly enough that you don't feel like an outsider and in the summer you can head out to the patio where you can sit back & watch the local Dundee scene. Great wine selection & you can be assured that there will be a decent drink special too - I see many people recommended the Moscow mule but Becky makes a grapefruit martini with Absolut Ruby that I have been unable to duplicate but is freakin delicious! i would say it is probably my favorite spot in Omaha. read more

The Dundee Corn & Bottle has been a favorite of mine for years. Even though the place can get crowded or parking may be difficult to find, in the end you won't be disappointed. I love sitting outside on the patio with friends in the summer time and enjoying the Dundee scenery. The crowed is diverse but the regulars are many. On many of my visits to Cork & Bottle I find myself meeting new people. The perk to being such a small and cozy place, you usually get to know everyone very quickly. The wine selection is always changing and the prices are always very reasonable. I have found many of my favorite wines at the Cork & Bottle with cheaper prices than I was use to paying. You can always pick up wine to go! If you're not a wine drinker they have a selection of other spirits. Also, the best Moscow Mule I have had in Omaha. For everyone else like me out there who is a sucker for a good deal, they have weekly specials like "Wino Wednesday" where wine bottles are half off (but get there early!) discounts on bottled beer and... a bargain bin! If you haven't been to the Cork & Bottle I highly recomend visiting asap. It's the perfect place to take a small group of friends or a great place to impress a date. read more

Had dinner in Dundee and we decided to stay in the area to have a drink. I heard a lot about the Moscow Mules here and definitely wanted to try it. It came in a large copper cup and definitely worth the $5. They also had other selections of beer and a little wine cove in the back worth browsing through. The only complaint I had was the space. It was a little too cozy for my taste. I managed to get a stool, but some of my friends had to stand and i felt pretty bad about it. I can tell this place is a Dundee community favorite because the regulars were getting a bit rowdy when I was there. Also, I am in my early 20's and felt a little out of place with the older crowd there. Maybe I'll go again for the Moscow Mule, but that is really it for me. read more

I went there a few times. It's an okay bar, decent drinks, slightly claustrophobic. That being said, I will never go there again. A friend of mine was sexually assaulted while drinking there. She informed the staff and they said they would have the offender removed, but they never did. They later posted a disgusting, victim blaming post slandering my friend. They still have not apologized to her. There is really no excuse for this kind of behavior. Don't support this business if you are a supporter of safe spaces or don't condone victim blaming. read more

Our only issue was that some of the guests in this very small bar, were so incredibly loud that we couldn't even hear each other talk. I think I probably should have tried their Moscow Mule after reading some of the other reviews. As others have said on here, this place is quite cozy and it does fill up very quickly. A girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves here on a Saturday night and there was quite the variety when it comes to crowd - a bachelorette party, older and younger younger couples and everything in between. Prices are reasonable and service was attentive. Overall though, nothing terribly outstanding about this place in my mind. It is hard to go wrong in Dundee though, as it is probably the best neighborhood in Omaha. read more

The Cork and Bottle is a great local bar tucked away in the Dundee area. The famous drink is the Moscow Mule which is vodka, ginger beer and lime served on ice in a copper cup. Perfect summer drink. The inside of the bar is very small but has a good selection of wine, bottled beers and cigars. If you are lucky enough to snag an outside seat on the patio, you won't want to give it up. Perfect spot to spend a few hours on a nice afternoon or evening and enjoy a conversation with the regulars. The only negative of the Cork is that they do not like splitting up tabs which can get confusing at the end of the night, be specific with the staff when you give them your card and it will save you a headache. read more

Besides a lady of the night getting upset we weren't offering her business, this place is pretty awesome. The bartender Dave was awesome. We were just rolling through Dundee and saw this place wasn't horribly packed so we stopped. Good crowd of some cool people. Decent selection of beer even though none of it is on tap. Great selection of wine and liquor also. The entire time I thought the place smelled like cigars but couldn't figure out why until we left and I saw the humidor. Great prices in their humidor, but most of it was cheap stuff I've never heard of. But $3.50 for a night-ending cigar is whatever. Nice place to sit outside too. It's very odd. Great wine selection (be careful though - there is a $3.50 corkage fee, I think, so when you see the price of a bottle, calculate that in), great service, great people, great outdoor seating.
