This place has some cool offerings such as hand poured candles, essential oils, witchy books, pronoun buttons, and incense. It is pretty claustrophobic in there though. Most of the walking area is a very tight squeeze for 2 people crossing paths. I didn't buy anything for this reason. What a glorious little shop. I fell in love with HausWitch online, then realized they were just an hour drive from Boston! Now I make a point to pop in each time I'm in Salem. First off, this store has something for everyone. If you're intimidated by Salem's witchy scene, this might be a great place to start. Many of its products are spiritual, but accessible -- the staff have always been so helpful and not at all judgemental. If that's still not your thing, they have holistic bath/beauty products and fun artsy items that will interest any kind of shopper. If you're semi-local like me, they also have a whole events program (more info on their website). Stuff like this makes it clear to me that the store and its owner are really striving to be part of the community, not just a scene. In my first store experience (September 2017) I had the BEST customer service from Cheryl. She provided wonderful insight, suggestions and conversation during our visit. During our 2nd visit this past weekend, we met Erica who provided my friend with suggestions on stones for protection and patiently showed her all available options in the store. I had found this shop on instagram somehow a few months ago and fell in love. So when my boyfriend surprised me with a short weekend trip to Salem I knew I had to visit, and I am so thankful we did! Can totally understand why this place has 5 stars. In my opinion, things are reasonably priced for the care and passion that went into them. The set up of the store is welcoming. The staff was AMAZING- they were so interactive and showed excitement over the products we purchased. They truly want you to enjoy their products and value their customers. One thing i especially loved- If you have stuff in your hand, the staff will offer to take it and keep it at the counter. They give you a little tarot card, with the matching one by your pile of stuff at the register. I think that's such a unique idea. The store definitely gives off a whole different vibe than other stores downtown, but this is the exact vibe i was looking for. I will so be back and recommend you do the same. :) read more

This place is adorable! It's so refreshing to find a loosely spiritual boutique without all the usual clutter and incense that Salem stores offer. The owner (adorable herself, by the way) explained everything about the kits she sells for purifying spaces (using sage, etc.) as well as the different tinctures on offer. The heartbreak tincture, which I bought, "tastes like the tears you cry when you break up with someone -- they don't feel good at the time but you need them" -- and she was right. I had a Reiki session with Jessica this past Saturday. I had the best experience! When I entered the room I felt calm and an immediate connection with her. We started with pulling some cards and in the first couple minutes we realized that we have a deeper connection through some past life experiences. Then we started the session. Jessica used essential oils and crystals. Her hands felt nice and soft. During the session at some point I felt that it was harder to breath and I cried a little, then it all went away like it healed immediately. At the end of the session she stepped out the door to let me get up in my own pace. My arms felt really heavy when I tried to sit up. I needed a couple minutes to get myself together, I felt very relaxed. After the session we talked for a few more minutes, she gave me advice how to deal with the issue I came to talk to her about, she gave me recommendations what crystals to use and some excercises for home. I was looking for a gift from my daughter while on a working trip to Massachusetts, and seeing as she's a preteen with gothic tendencies and loves the witchy crystal shop in our LA neighborhood, I figured Salem might be a good place to find her a gift. Driving through the center of town on a snowy winter day at dusk, Hauswitch was like a warm beacon and drew me like a magnet. I went in expecting to get maybe a book or a crystal but I walked out with a handful of things that I know she's going to love. I'm not much of a believer in anything, but the vibe of the place was great, and to buy from real modern-day witches in Witch City itself felt right. This is not witch-kitsch but the real deal, and while your mileage may vary on how much stock you put in the healing powers of this oil or this stone's capacity to ward off negative juju, there's a sincerity here that even made this old atheist's heart warm. read more

I hosted an event here as a part of a Salem wedding. Erica helped arrange a spell-crafting session for about 20 of the bride's best pals. The space is comfortable, cozy, and smells wonderful. For a very reasonable price, each guest got to learn about spell crafting from Erica and CJ and assemble and take home their own personal spell kit. HausWitch also allowed us to bring sparkling water and champagne in as refreshments (no red wine or colored liquids because you'll be relaxing on lovely rugs!). This is a beautiful home decor boutique with a magical twist. It is so inviting, I wanted to spend the whole day on the awesome vintage furniture and took my time to smell every candle and check out every dreamcatcher. Everything is for sale. It seriously breaks my heart to dislike this place. I absolutely adore it. I love the aesthetic, the products... But I live right down town Salem and I'm treated like I'm from another planet. I've consistently been treated like I'm stupid every time I've gone in there. By who I think is the owner / manager. If you don't come in dressed in urban outfitters, you're going to be treated like shit. It's seriously too bad, because it's just my scene / style but I might not look like it when I get off a ten hour shift and just want to buy a candle... I go to HausWitch every time I go to Salem! The store is beautiful and full of plants and natural light. I've bought in store and online and they always have something great! I've got artwork, crystals, tea, books and zines and all sorts of other cute and functional stuff! They have the best candles ever, I have bought the Blackjack Wax Company Fortune Teller candle and the store's The Witches candle multiple times!!
