I really like HausWitch. I have been there a handful of times a year since it opened and it is a destination for Christmas presents or care packages for friends who need a little love. I've been to some of the classes they now offer and it was behind-the-scenes fun to be in the store after hours (they also let us make some purchases after the class was over, which was fun!). Erica and her team have a way of making their products feel very special and the store is a breath of fresh air among the other older Salem witch shops. I'm a big fan of small and women owned businesses. Just a note though for those who follow HausWitch on IG and enjoy their social media: the HausWitch brand online is very inclusive and community focused and, if you follow them, you get the idea that you will be welcome there. However, this is not always the case in person, unfortunately, particularly if you are in the store with a male partner or friend--you may feel unwelcome or uncomfortable (see one hidden review that also mentions this). You might also be made to feel uncomfortable if you're not dressed a certain way. The mean-girl vibe can be a definite let down if you've been looking forward to soaking up the ambiance of the store while you decide on your purchases. If you're sensitive to this sort of thing, you might want to order online. As a feminist, I really do get it about men. My suggestion is to drop off any boyfriend or male friend you might have at the Irish pub on the same street before stopping into HausWitch! I love love love coming here! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. They will help guide you towards products if you have a question as well as join in conversation about anything! I recently booked a reiki healing session with Jessica and was truly blown away. It was my first time getting reiki done, and I wasn't nervous, just excited! She walked me through the process and we felt extremely connected. By the end, I felt healed, relaxed and like I had a purpose on what I needed to do next. Definitely something you should do if you're thinking about it. Go check out the store and smell all the candles, marvel at the crystals and ask questions. Melissa helped design our " witchy weekend ". It was perfect! She hand tailored it perfectly for us! We had a Tarot tour around the town. Most of the walking area is a very tight squeeze for 2 people crossing paths. I didn't buy anything for this reason. What a glorious little shop. I fell in love with HausWitch online, then realized they were just an hour drive from Boston! Now I make a point to pop in each time I'm in Salem. First off, this store has something for everyone. If you're intimidated by Salem's witchy scene, this might be a great place to start. Many of its products are spiritual, but accessible -- the staff have always been so helpful and not at all judgemental. If that's still not your thing, they have holistic bath/beauty products and fun artsy items that will interest any kind of shopper. This was my 2nd time visiting HausWitch, but I'm also an online client! My experiences with HausWitch are always positive. My online orders always ship out and arrive quickly and in perfect condition. I'm always happy with my products. In my first store experience (September 2017) I had the BEST customer service from Cheryl. She provided wonderful insight, suggestions and conversation during our visit. During our 2nd visit this past weekend, we met Erica who provided my friend with suggestions on stones for protection and patiently showed her all available options in the store. Each visit was warm and welcoming and simply magical. This visit to Salem, I decided to enjoy a mini tarot + mini reiki session with Madeline at the HausWitch healing space. She was sweet and patient with the most calming presence. I had found this shop on instagram somehow a few months ago and fell in love. So when my boyfriend surprised me with a short weekend trip to Salem I knew I had to visit, and I am so thankful we did! Can totally understand why this place has 5 stars. In my opinion, things are reasonably priced for the care and passion that went into them. The set up of the store is welcoming. The staff was AMAZING- they were so interactive and showed excitement over the products we purchased. They truly want you to enjoy their products and value their customers. One thing i especially loved- If you have stuff in your hand, the staff will offer to take it and keep it at the counter. They give you a little tarot card, with the matching one by your pile of stuff at the register. I think that's such a unique idea. This place is adorable! It's so refreshing to find a loosely spiritual boutique without all the usual clutter and incense that Salem stores offer. The owner (adorable herself, by the way) explained everything about the kits she sells for purifying spaces (using sage, etc.) as well as the different tinctures on offer. The heartbreak tincture, which I bought, "tastes like the tears you cry when you break up with someone -- they don't feel good at the time but you need them" -- and she was right. I had a Reiki session with Jessica this past Saturday. I had the best experience! When I entered the room I felt calm and an immediate connection with her. We started with pulling some cards and in the first couple minutes we realized that we have a deeper connection through some past life experiences. Then we started the session. Jessica used essential oils and crystals. Her hands felt nice and soft. During the session at some point I felt that it was harder to breath and I cried a little, then it all went away like it healed immediately. At the end of the session she stepped out the door to let me get up in my own pace. My arms felt really heavy when I tried to sit up. I needed a couple minutes to get myself together, I felt very relaxed. After the session we talked for a few more minutes, she gave me advice how to deal with the issue I came to talk to her about, she gave me recommendations what crystals to use and some excercises for home. I hosted an event here as a part of a Salem wedding. Erica helped arrange a spell-crafting session for about 20 of the bride's best pals. The space is comfortable, cozy, and smells wonderful. For a very reasonable price, each guest got to learn about spell crafting from Erica and CJ and assemble and take home their own personal spell kit. HausWitch also allowed us to bring sparkling water and champagne in as refreshments (no red wine or colored liquids because you'll be relaxing on lovely rugs!). This is a unique and memorable venue highly recommended for their classes, special events, or just stop in and find something you didn't realize you needed! read more

I came to HausWitch for a reiki session with Jessica. I'd only had energy healing done once before, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect but Jessica blew my mind. I was looking for a gift from my daughter while on a working trip to Massachusetts, and seeing as she's a preteen with gothic tendencies and loves the witchy crystal shop in our LA neighborhood, I figured Salem might be a good place to find her a gift. Driving through the center of town on a snowy winter day at dusk, Hauswitch was like a warm beacon and drew me like a magnet. I went in expecting to get maybe a book or a crystal but I walked out with a handful of things that I know she's going to love. I'm not much of a believer in anything, but the vibe of the place was great, and to buy from real modern-day witches in Witch City itself felt right.
