It was a sunny crisp day to sit outside in the sun and take in tte view of snowy alps while eating! If you have kids there is a large sandbox for them to play in as well. Service was attentive and so many languages are spoken! The gnocchi was excellent and with tte toasted hazelnut wow! Fries were so crisp outside and soft when bitten and tte fish was fresh! Ok food but can't beat the location right in downtown. Herbal teas were very good. Lots of local floral teas that were delicious. Food wise - overpriced but the vegan curry vegetable bowl was good. Everything else was just ok. Outdoors bar area gets super packed on the weekend. read more

Eating here unlocked a milestone for me. First (and second) time I've ever send something back to the kitchen. Ordered the minestrone soup, which somehow managed to be inedible. It was sweet, like sugary sweet. They told me it was because of the carrot but this doesn't match my experience of what a soup with just the mild sweetness of carrots in it tastes like. Prior to this I wouldn't have thought that it was possible to make a soup out of broth and vegetables that was so offensive that I couldn't tough it out but here we are. They were kind enough to replace it with a different soup which was less offensive to taste but was just warm tomato water with seeds on top. Couldn't make it more than a couple bites in before giving up. I felt terrible because sending something back not once but twice, but I've truly never encountered soup that bad in my life. Upon reading other reviews here and on google it seems they've had a history of soup related issues which made me feel a bit vindicated. The service was good and they were nice about the returns so I've added a star above just one, but if you're someone who cares a lot about food, this probably isn't your best choice. read more

We thought this was a really comfortable spot to grab lunch. The service and the food were great.

Food was pretty tasty. Indoor/outdoor seating. Polite staff and the food was out quick. Outdoor seating was nice!

A tourist trap if I've ever seen one. We got a table outside and a waiter ran over with glasses and a bottle of water. Us being Americans forgot that water is not free. I poured out the glasses and the manager stepped out to take our orders. He asked if I had ordered the water and I said no, then he accused us of trying to steal water and I told him we hadn't drank it and would not drink it. At the end of the meal he brought the check and demanded that we pay for the water too, charging 6.50€ for it. A classic scam. read more

Got the Italian toast (ham and cheese) and it was seriously disappointing. One singular piece of thin cold cut ham on flavorless bread. Also got the ciabatta crudo, which was definitely a step up. For a $50 USD lunch, though, there's definitely better options at the supermarket. read more

Most of the reviews seem to mainly concentrate on the restaurant but this is actually a hotel too. I've stayed here once and I would highly recommend the location as it is in the middle of St Moritz dorf. However, I find it not worth the price. The rooms are super basic, I understand that this is their style, but to me it feels like a dorm. I do want to highlight that it is clean. In addition, their internet was very slow, I had to do some business emails and their bandwidth was to weak to send even some simple emails. Keep in mind that they do a big apres-ski party every day afternoon in winter, so if you want to have an pm nap, it might be difficult. I would only go again if no other hotel is available in the neighborhood - sorry. read more

Torn on this place. I ordered soup, which was mediocre at best and luke warm...but my husband ordered their fish and chips which were made with salmon and very good! Service was just whatever. The total for the soup, fish and chips and a coffee came out to $54usd and the meal wasn't worth that imo... but there weren't many options open at the time read more

Sat down outside wasn't given a menu, then the waiter came to order our food but realized the menu wasn't provided. He then brought one menu only, then we moved inside but still with one menu and limited eating time since we had no reservation. He told us we need to pay more for the same item since it's 6:05 pm. We stopped here for an Excursion on the Bernina train. We walked through the small downtown area & stopped here for lunch. It's a nice place with good service. After you get over the fact you're in Switzerland & it's expensive, the food was tasty. I opted to play it safe with the beef burger & fries. It was tasty. My friend kept it traditional with Pizokels, spinach dumplings with carrots, onions & melted cheese. That too was tasty but I didn't thing it would fill me up, prior to the 2hr train ride. read more

Ok so I saw the star rating and read the reviews....... I am not sure why.......but this was so marginally below good. Sorry.....60 Swiss francs for a burger and a ham sandwich, one glass of champagne (9 francs) and a beer. If it was really good I'd be ok.....but it wasn't. I don't get the hype. Came to St Moritz on a day trip; very dead as they are between seasons apparently so very few lunch spots to choose from. Sat outside as it was a beautiful day, but really wished there had been umbrellas as it was almost painful the sun was so bright. Service was spotty at best; it was apparent that we tourists are just passing through. We were excited to see so many dishes with German/Alpine influence as we had lived in Germany and it reminded us of those days. Ordered Alperrigatoni which was rigatoni, potatoes, wurst, and cheese. It was a total overdose of carbs and pricey beyond words at 27 Swiss Francs. Hubs had something called Pizokel which reportedly was pasta that looked a bit like a cross between Gnocchi and tortellini and had carrots and beef carpaccio. It was green in color and I can't remember why. There were maybe two teeny tiny strips of beef and three tiny grated carrot strips. It was utterly tasteless and 23 Swiss francs. I'm guessing they were understaffed or just not interested in courting the tourists because the servers spent plenty of time with what appeared to be young, hip locals which of course we are not. We had lots of time to watch the young server lovingly wash the sign in the front of the restaurant and the other servers make nice with locals. read more

On a recent trip we were looking for a good affordable place for breakfast.. We were so happy that we found Hauser. The restaurant offered a buffet for 25 francs, however we wanted an à la carte menu and were pleasantly surprised with their prices. The service was good and the atmosphere was charming. read more

The Hauser is one of the trendy meeting places in St Moritz. It is fun just to sit and watch the crowd. But, the real reason to go is the food. The pastries savory and sweet are devine. The food , mostly light fare is delicious. Birchermeusli at the Hauser , so good and really a lot. It is fun to share. I love this place and have been going there for 40 years. Recommended to us by our tour guide, we were looking for a light meal. My wife had a meat/cheese appetizer and I had Hauser homemade chicken soup (excellent!), homemade noodle with pork ragout and we shared the profiteroles. So much for a light meal. Everything was excellent! Our waiter was a bit abrupt to start but warmed up later on and provided cry good service. All in all, a quiet atmosphere, no rush, good food and service. Price was typical for St Moritz I guess - high. But I'd go back. read more
