Beyond the front display cases and servings of chocolates and sandwiches and pastries, in back (as well as up a flight) there's a large seating area where you can do a sit-down meal. The menu is multi-lingual and massive, and focused mostly on Swiss/German sorts of dishes. The food itself was decently good -- not life-changing, but filling. The hot chocolate and coffee drinks were, in fact, great, if pricey. (It's San Moritz, even in low season -- it's going to be pricey.) Service was harried but polite. Views from the window over the lake and to the mountains were nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to return here, but I wouldn't turn down the suggestion to go in again, should I ever again visit San Moritz.

The ambiance of the seating area is cozy, with lots of windows/nice views. The room can get a little warm, which is nice on a cool day! Definitely check out while in St Moritz.

First of all, all the dishes took way longer to arrive than should be necessary. No lie, the gentleman next to us ate his entire meal while we waited. Even a single coffee took fifteen minutes. Second of all, all the dishes were just okay, nothing spectacular except maybe the Bitterballen we shared as a starter. I'll hand it to them, those was really good. Otherwise, the dishes were generally underwhelming, overpriced and lacked flavour. My sister ordered a veggie bowl which was just bland ingredients thrown together in a plate. They even forgot her sweet potatoes which were the only source of protein on the plate. I had the fish & chips which was worded weirdly in the menu and my fries weren't cooked all the way through which doesn't seem like something particularly hard to do. The place wasn't worth the trip. I'd maybe come back if they updated their menu but mostly, I'd come back because their bathrooms were gorgeous.
