My family went to Gondolezza last week and had a wonderful time. Firstly, the service was out of this world, our waitress was funny, bubbly, and had us in stitches the whole time. The owner also stopped by the table to say hello while we were there as well (we ate inside but there was quite a bit of seating outside as well). While it was a beautiful night, I recommend sitting inside to get the whole experience: it's pretty unique eating in a restaurant made out of an old Gondola.
I'd also add that the food was spectacular. Since we're a big family (4 teenage children), we just went ahead and ordered all 4 fondue cheeses, and both racklettes. ALL of them were great, I was unable to decide if just the plain fondue was my favorite, or whether the black truffle one was. Note that it is a fondue restaurant, so you'll probably need to leave your diet behind for a night; but it's well worth it. I can't say enough good things about our experience there. read more
