Came here for brunch around noon on Sunday. This restaurant is located on the entrance of the Kulm Park with a lovely view of the outdoor ice skating rink and curling lanes. It was quite chilly but nice and sunny, so we sat outdoors at the sun terrace to enjoy our meal. They provided a thick blanket with the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz logo in the corner for us to cover ourselves, one per every two seats. Mine had a small cigarette burn hole in it, but otherwise it was quite cozy and warm.
My CHF 5.00 latte macchiato came with a yummy little chocolate chip cookie, which I recently learned the cute Swiss word for--Guetzli. ^.^
Brunch was Rösti with smoked salmon and sour cream for CHF 28.00. I've never had this combination before, but it was quite delicious with the fresh greens on the side and delightful, creamy sour cream. I LOVE sour cream, yum!
I tried a bit of my bf's Rösti Chesa al Parc with cheese, prosciutto crudo, and fried egg. It was quite heavy but also delicious, with the strong scent of cheese. Kind of reminded me of Raclette or fondue cheese. Definitely filling and warm for the tummy on a cold winter's day.
Other tables around us had a variety of sausages and cheese fondue, and the outdoor seating seemed quite filled up, so I think this place is pretty good for Swiss specialties in an idyllic setting. read more
