The staff gave us a tour of the premises before we left they have a separate lovely restaurant for the evening and a hidden steep wooden staircase the whole building dating back almost 400 years. Unexpected and a real pleasure. Samedan is a bit off the beaten track but there is a frequent bus service to and from St. Moritz.

Instead, the owner immediately told me to put her on the floor -- without offering even a cup of water for her. My dog became restless, and the whole dinner was stressful. We ordered two portions of fondue, but they brought only one, the same quantity served to the couple at the table next to us. The cheese itself tasted strongly of vinegar, but we decided to keep it anyway to avoid further issues. The worst part came at the end: they charged us 140 €, claiming that "if four people eat it, you pay for four," regardless of the quantity served. So we were charged the same price as the couple next to us, even though we received the same small portion. This is unacceptable and feels intentionally dishonest. I left feeling disrespected as a customer and shocked by the way they treat both people and animals. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Good size, warm room (in fact we always stay in the same one), large, secure ski room within a few metres of the hotel entrance, bus to the ski slopes stops right outside the hotel every ten minutes, good restaurant with wide choice of dishes especially the Italian pizzas from a proper pizza oven. But this restaurant is extremely popular, so make sure you book a table before going out for the day. Fantastic offer this year our ski passes were a third of the normal price because we bought them through the hotel on arrival. St. Moritz is really expensive, so this was a very pleasant surprise. As a policy, I always look for my own spots. I found this pasta place based on its high ratings, grateful it was open out of season. It is small, so it cannot accommodate very large groups, but it is an exquisitely charming spot. The atmosphere is outstanding: Swiss vibes all the way and killer music (think We're Together by Jack Johnson and Downtown by Petula Clark). In the spirit of any place who wants to master its food, they do not have 1 million options on the menu. I got the Bruschetta (their house specialty) as an appetizer, and their Fresh Pasta (Meat) option of the day which came with a sage pesto sauce and crisp bacon. My photos do not capture the depth and comfort dimensions of the flavors, but I tried! Pasta is meant to be warm and cozy and filling, and this delivered. Balanced by the delicate flavors of sage, extra-virgin olive oil, and freshly grated cheese. I rarely finish my meals and asked for the rest to go, which did not seem to bother them one bit.
