For our short time in St Moritz, our party of 12 dined at this Swiss establishment located next to…read morethe train station. With the weather warm and humid, dining in a large group was uncomfortably warm and cramped. I wonder why the Suisse don't believe in fans. I digress. One of the first things I do when the waiter asks what we'd like to drink, I ask for tap water. Otherwise, you are charged 7-8 CHF for every carafe of water instead of 5 CHF charge for the entire table. When I read the menu (in English) I was excited to find several game dishes like venison, deer, boar and marmot. Having had boar bolognese in Italy many years ago, I ordered boar with handmade noodles ($31.50)and a plate of grilled vegetables ($26). Too much food for one person. While I liked the vegetables, the texture of the squash was strange and tough and the boar wasn't quite as umami as I would have liked. One thing to note is that Europeans like their carbs al dente per American standards. If you're not used to al dente, then stay away from rice and pasta. Here's what the rest of our party had: Lambs Lettuce with Eggs and Bacon - looked great Barley Soup - tastes like it's made with bacon, yum Grilled Alpine Char Sliced Venison Beef Skewers - table favorite Aglio Spaghetti Gnocchi Gorgonzola Risotto Taleggio - too al dente 2 tap water 5 CHF Prawns and Spaghetti - good flavor, but too al dente Ice cream for dessert Europe is old school. If someone orders a soup, salad or vegetable, those dishes come first and everyone else has to wait while watching people eat. While everyone liked their food, there were no standouts and the portions were too much for one person. Sharing would have been a good idea.

I had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Before going, I specifically asked if the…read morerestaurant was dog‑friendly. I brought my 4‑month‑old puppy and simply wanted her to sit on my lap so she could sleep and let me eat peacefully. Instead, the owner immediately told me to put her on the floor -- without offering even a cup of water for her. My dog became restless, and the whole dinner was stressful. We ordered two portions of fondue, but they brought only one, the same quantity served to the couple at the table next to us. The cheese itself tasted strongly of vinegar, but we decided to keep it anyway to avoid further issues. The worst part came at the end: they charged us 140 €, claiming that "if four people eat it, you pay for four," regardless of the quantity served. So we were charged the same price as the couple next to us, even though we received the same small portion. This is unacceptable and feels intentionally dishonest. I left feeling disrespected as a customer and shocked by the way they treat both people and animals. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
