The bad: I used Extra Space for things that i had for sale on eBay, old baby clothes and toys, and…read moresome furniture from my grandmother that my ex-husband wanted out of the house. I absolutely hated this company. Once the promotional period was over, they CONSTANTLY raised the price, for NO reason other than GREED. It seemed to go up by $10 nearly every month. I couldn't wait to get my stuff out of there. Also very annoying: Access ends at 7 pm. This is just stupid. What's the point? Sometimes, you need more time. Other companies have 24-hour access. Also stupid: code required for both the elevator and the exit gate. Yeah, yeah, security, but still a giant pain. And yes, other storage companies also constantly raise their prices. It's a horrible industry, and I will never use a storage unit again. The good: Amazing site manager, Desiree, in Lone Tree. Five stars for her, zero for the company. She's a genuinely kind and helpful person. She listened patiently to my complaints, and helped me when she could. She does an excellent job. The facility is always clean, she's usually in the office to answer the phone or questions, and she's extremely pleasant and personable. I was exceedingly unhappy to get slapped with a late fee because I was told the wrong date, but she tried to fix it for me. Couldn't, but she tried. I had removed the autopay option because i don't like them grabbing money. And i knew that I was removing my stuff.

I've since moved away, but these people continue to call me and ask for money because I left one of their generic locks on the unit. They pretend that they don't have the means to remove it, while also pretending that I haven't moved out of the unit. They increase prices for no reason. I went from paying less tahn 100/month to over 160/month. I've been trying to move my stuff since Dec 15th and cant get all my stuff out because the elevator is broken and wont be fixed until FEB. So basically my stuff is being held hostage and they are threating me with collections to pay the bill but I cant get my appliances out the unit. This place is RAGGEDY AND FILTHY, the bathroom is DISGUSTING, trash all over the place, the carts are never available, and I believe people are living there. There is no reason for rate increases if you aren't taking care of the property. I've been waiting on the propertymanager to call but all I got was collection calls. Even their insurance provider is TRASH. My unit was burgularized in Oct and my claim still isnt processed. YEP, my unit was broken into and trashed and their response was to increase my rate. Got to love customer service. Please DO NOT waste your time and money at this location. It hasnt done nothing but cost me money

Prices here are far better than the surrounding storage facilities (especially now under new management). Renting a Uhaul on site was an added bonus and again Chris was very friendly and again efficient renting that out to me.

They have a dump station on site which for now, is only open during office hours, so don't pull in at 2 am needing to dump your tanks. The contract that you sign states that you pay first and last months rent when you sign up. I guess some of the other reviewers are a bit challenged when it comes to reading even the most simple contracts. Anyway, I'm happy with this lot and will stay with them until I can figure out how to legally store my RV at home. Update - Downgrading to 3 stars over the dump station. There is no water available next to it, so you cannot flush your tanks, like at almost every campground in America. Secondly, they charge you 10 dollars to use it. At the most, this should be 5 bucks, and ideally free for people that are paying to store their RV there. This is common practice in the Denver area. The rent here is a little less than most of the other places around town, but they'll nickle and dime you. Also, the 'free firewood' they advertise is basically just a pile of tree stumps and waste wood from who knows where, but it's not what you'd think it should be, none of it is ready to burn. Maybe we caught them on a bad day..
