My initial thought was to jump through all the hoops to get it at auction and repair it, but then the sheer amount of work that entailed was daunting, especially for a 15 yr old car with almost 150K miles. Once I decided to get something new, I determined what I wanted, both in the car and financially, I set out. First I looked at some used car lots online to see what's out there and check out prices. We visited a few places, and I had trepidations at them all and figured, what the what, just check out the car lot across from work. That lot is Clintonville Motors. I looked at the cars online and was impressed with the selection within the range of what I wanted. So we (husband and I) drove over to check the cars. I saw several that caught my eye and test drove one. It was newer than my totaled car, had MUCH less miles, and for the most part, was what I wanted within the price range. Husband and I looked over the lot and read the stickers for several cars before someone came over-- just enough time to show interest in us but also feel low pressure. We looked for a few minutes but kept coming back to this one Honda. We took it for a test drive. I liked it, and we bought it. Tigran, the manager, was open about the car being a salvage, but he was very clear the car had an engine warranty. At first I was reluctant about the salvage thing, but then I thought about how far I was initially willing to go to get my car that was a salvage vehicle and figured this car is newer and far less miles than mine. Had I got mine, there'd be no warranty. So I drive off with my new-to-me car quite happy. A couple weeks in. I had a problem, to the point the car wasn't running right and I didn't trust it. We called Clintonville and they sent a towtruck at their expense to get my car. They fixed it and delivered it to my home. But a few days later, a similar problem came up. Again, they brought the truck over, got it fixed and drove it an extra day or 2 to make sure it was driving right. When I got it back not only did they address the issue, they gave me fresh new windshield wipers because they had it and drove it during heavy rains and saw the wipers needed changed. The car ran just fine. Car drives fine, but I've had it long enough that I figure getting an oil change from our regular mechanic makes sense to check everything out makes sense. Take it in, and outside of the maintenance on the AC (standard stuff), I got a declaration of a good car with good tires and a fine engine. Clintonville stood by and took care of my car when we had a few problems, and they stand by their work. I got what I wanted in terms of car and price and they have surpassed what I expected for service. I'm very pleased and would go back to Clintonville Motors.They are low pressure, friendly, professional, and stand by their warranty. I wouldn't hesitate to get a car here again. They've been great.

Tigran, Arman and Art are amazing and helpful. I have purchased many a new car and used car. I will purchase my next car through them. That is saying, a lot has I have never been through for smaller dealership, i've always gone to the largest ones. They really don't want your trade-in. If you have a trade-in don't expect to be offered much for it. If you're okay with these 3 ground rules then this is a decent place to car shop. Last summer I needed a car pretty quick. I purchased a Corolla that I knew had been hit in the rear and repaired. Driving it home it didn't steer quite right. There was some leftover rear suspension damage that couldn't be seen visually but showed up plainly on an alignment rack. I took the car back to them and they made it right. Also included was a year long drive train warranty. The car has been great since. I would recommend them just understand the ground rules.

They do their own body work and do excellent work to the point that you cannot tell the car has been damaged. He can give a price break because of the depreciation the cars face over having been in an accident but because he's less expensive than everyone else, he is not generous on trade and will not come down on the price. Be prepared to pretty much pay his asking price plus ballpark of $1,000 for tax and title. He's probably going to be better than anyone else you could buy a car from.

No check engine lights hen purchased. Trailered vehicle home - first drive was to be dealership to get timing belt and transmission services since it has 180k on odometer. As I drove 35 miles to be dealer, repair that 614 cars did, caused exhaust system electronics part they replaced to short out since their mechanic didn't bother to route the wires the same way they took them off, melted on exhaust pipe next to wires they worked on. At time of sale - they stated if any issues with their work they did, just let them know and they'd make it right. I reached out. Received initial response asking for quote and pics from my dealer. Then ghosted. No response to texts or call - sent to voicemail after a couple rings (only called 1x, texted 3 over several day period). Caused $1500 in damages due to their poor service that was done so on top of price of car, I immediately am stuck with a $1500 repair bill. I asked they cover half which was cost of parts in my text. Also discovered they are committing tax fraud! I negotiated price to $5900 out the door - from $5900 plus ttl. They apparently changed sales price on receipt from total price plus tax to equal $5900 to a total price of $3500. Reporting to the Ohio tax office for tax fraud. Was a great experience in person working with these guys, too bad their mechanic made a bad repair and then the "good game" they talked at sale, was nothing more than lies. Guess if you are lucky and get a car without their mechanic making bad repairs, you are probably good but sadly that wasn't my case and watch the price info as these guys are shady.
