Took 3 dresses to have drycleaned. Went to pick them up and the lady told me $65.00 I felt my head do a 360. I am from GA. Our cleaners would never charge that. The dry cleaning is fine (and the only option in town) but I do not recommend the tailoring. The head seamstress is rude and the people who work for her are slow and not very good. When I had an issue with an uneven hem on a gown (which first of all was finished later than they promised) they told me "we don't specialize in evening gowns". I'm not sure why they accepted a job they weren't confident they could do. There are other tailors in town that will be prompt and not mess up your clothes. read more

My husband needed to have a pair of pants hemmed. He was told it would be about a week this was yesterday. Today they sent a text message and said the pants were ready.After he got home he noticed that they were not hemmed. He paid $8.00 for the pants to be hemmed.He could have driven down the road and thrown $8.00 dollars out of the window and gotten the same result. read more

Recently brought in a 2 piece Paul Stuart Linen/silk suit to get dry cleaned. I have used Hatcher's before with no problems. I have many high quality suits that have been taken care of but my last service was very disappointing. I received it with the pants ruined, torn in the crotch and button missing. I brought the pants back in the bag with barcode, and they couldn't find my order. I told them how much the suit was with alterations and she told me it was ridiculous that I would pay that much for my suit and alterations. The owner was very rude and argued with me over it before trying to offer some store credit. She keep insisting she was a businesswoman and that this is "where the ball stopped". I was appalled that she badgered about me being unreasonable when normal procedure would have been evaluate the piece, account for depreciation and take responsibility. She accused me of lying about where my suit was from lying about alterations. Unfortunately Hatcher's is one of the only dry cleaners in town. Take business elsewhere. read more

We were in the area near Newport, TN, to attend a wedding in November. On the day before the wedding, the bride and groom found that their wedding clothes had become dirty and wrinkled during the trip. The worst experience I have ever had with drapes. I contacted them regarding shortening my drapes and pressing them. I got them back and they are ruined. They are various lengths and they are pulled on the edges. The drapes were very expensive and will have to be replaced. I plan to have them here in my home on Monday so that they can view the shotty work they did.. read more

I've used Hatchers for over 15 years, both for business (costumes) and personal. I don't have a single complaint! They are unfailingly nice and happy to do special jobs in an emergency. Their alterations are professional and done in good time. I feel confident with any delicate or special consideration jobs as well. I brought in several sports coats that were dry cleaned satisfactorily. The cleaning was no better or worse than any other dry cleaner. I asked the clerk if they did alterations and could hem sleeves on my coat? For a second she looked like a deer caught in the headlights. She explained to me that if the coat had a "V" on the sleeve they couldn't do it, but I explained that it was just a plain sleeve, with no "V". Again the deer showed up, she then walked away and gave me the card of an individual that does alterations. The question was, do you do alterations, which just required a yes or no answer? I'm not sure if she didn't just know or if she didn't want to be bothered but there are plenty of dry cleaners in Sevierville and I'll going to another. The others are relatively close but I would drive further before I give Hatcher's my business. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! They are not the only cleaners in town, just the worst one. Go 1 min away and use Craftsman cleaners, you won't regret it. I was in a pinch and willing to give Hatcher's another try ( they ruined a dress of mine years ago) I left with them 6 ties which were returned to me ironed basically, They still ha had stains and one looked scorched. I asked why they were still stained and was told oh that happens sometimes, they are old. I asked why they didn't tell us that up front I was told oh we just never know till we try. So I had to give them $20 to try and I am certain they didn't clean them at all! They didn't offer a discount they offered me to let them try and again and pay again. HA! They also grabbed my credit card off the counter while I was distracted looking at the ties and ran it without my knowing or permission. this place does not deserve even a 1 star rating!! i was a first time customer only wanting a few repairs on a couple of sweaters...one sweater in particular had 3 holes ( in the seam ) which is a very easy fix it took almost 2 weeks and i finally got my sweaters back to find my black sweater had been ruined, it had about 100 holes in it... so i took it back down to the location on church street in sevierville to find out what happened and primarily to get back the $15 i was charged to have my sweater ruined but instead of taking the fault and apologizing for ruining my shirt i was talked down to and yelled at by the owner melissa. she told me my sweater "came to her store like that" and "there was no way they had done that to my shirt"... she proceeded to tell me the reason it was like that is because my sweater was just "old" and "worn out" ... no one cares about your opinion of my shirt i didnt bring it there for you to judge my clothes and it wasnt "old" and "worn out" looking until hatchers cleaners got a hold of it i was also humiliated in front of all the employees bc they were all circled around while she was yelling at me and acting like a fool! she was too focused on trying to make it out to be my fault and not focused enough on taking ownership for what her company did to my clothes. not only do i find her and her company unprofessional i will make sure that no one i know will ever step foot in that place ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
