I had a mix experience with this little falafel truck that parks itself at the A1 Hookah Lounge parking lot. I had the order of hummus with toasted pita bread and falafel sandwich.
The hummus was pretty good. It had a good creamy texture and good flavor. I like the way they garnished it with olive oil, as it should be, some seasonings and greens. The hummus came with some toasted pita slices which were perfect for eating the hummus.
I thought the falafel sandwich was decent but in need of improvement. First of all, the sandwich either needed more falafels or larger ones. I was hoping for round fat and plump falales with a good semi dense texture. Another words, when you bite into the sandwich, one would know they were eating falafels. These were okay. There flavor was mild and texture crispy on the outside, but they needed more of that chick pea meatiness inside.
The sandwich came with a tasty "Amba" sauce, but it was a little to heavily laden on the bread which took away from the falafels.
Service was friendly. There's a small outside patio outside for patrons. read more
