First time here. I'm a huge fan of Greek and wanted to try a new place. After reading the reviews I was excited. I ordered the Greek chicken salad and the gyro sandwich. Honestly I was super disappointed in my salad- 2 cucumbers, 2 tomatoes and 2 pitted Kalamata olives and the smallest amount of feta cheese. For a large salad I felt this was very inadequate and for the fact that it was $17+ dollars. The chicken had good flavor. My understanding is that white and yellow onions are for cooking and red is for raw consumption, this gyro was packed with white raw onion and the outer skin. I called and the girl was nice and offered to remake my salad and expressed that I could have asked for more veggies on my salad, had I asked. If you're getting a salad make sure you check it before you leave. I politely declined the offer for a remade salad. read more

Sorry this is a no for me. My mom had mentioned this place had good chicken lemon soup so I tried it out. I was not a fan of the soup at all. The celery and lemon were too potent. I ordered a chicken Greek salad as well. I didn't think to ask if the chicken would be white or dark meat because I've only seen Greek salads with chicken breast. I had to throw the chicken out because my stomach cannot tolerate dark meat. Salad was decent but I ended up throwing away the soup and protein. The french fries were soggy, I think old oil. They smelled kind of burnt but were limp. some of the lettuce was old. some of the pita bread was really hard and dry. what a shame for having to pay so much for so little, the gyros did taste good. I ordered take out, I ordered a #3 Combo with a Lemon chicken soup, and a grilled chicken pita. And a drink. I got home and ate , I was super happy lemon chicken soup hit the spot since I was sick, flavor was great, had enough chicken and soup consistency was thick and not runny, and the pita had so much chicken , I had enough for a second meal. Wish they would have added more veggies as well but I was fine with the amount of chicken they added. I will be back again. Thank you and the price for the amount was great. I've been coming here for years and it's always amazing. Literally one of my favorite places to eat ever!! I like to get the super combo because it has the gyro meat, chicken souvlaki and spanakopita on top of the rice and the salad on the side. I love the tzatziki sauce and the salad dressing too. Small restaurant, not that well kept, some parts of the restaurant are pretty dirty and was hoping it did not translate to the food. The plate came out semi warm. It is served on a huge bed of rice. Rice is lacking in flavor, pita bread kind of cold and tastes generic like it was frozen, tzatziki sauce has no flavor, chicken was fresh and hot but it needs more seasoning it tasted only like burnt charcoal. They make a wonderful Greek salad (ask for extra olives if you're an olive lover like me). I also love their Dalmas as well as the Gyro's here. This place is OG San Diego and while everything is delicious, I think their gyro sandwiches, both the chicken and regular gyro meat, are the best! The tzatziki is delicious--I think a lot of places have too much garlic in their tzatziki, but theirs is just right. I tried the lemon soup, and it was also really good! It was very lemony and refreshing. My absolute favorite thing we ordered was the baklava! I've had a lot of baklava in my life and it was better than any I've had before. I love everything from this a cafe, and the food is consistently delicious.
