I've been here a couple of times now and my experiences here have definitely been mixed. Both times have been for weekend brunch. Parking is easy in the structure on weekends since it's basically empty and Hash validates. You order at the counter and then they'll bring it out to your table. It's pretty much all outdoor seating which can get pretty full so try and snag a spot if you see a table open up. The food and service here has been mixed in my experience. On my first visit I got the El Gordo breakfast burrito and was super disappointed. It was really soggy and hard to eat and the mix of flavors just didn't really work in the way I thought it would. It turned into a mushy gross mess. But on our way out, the owner (I think?) took the time to chat with us which was nice. On my 2nd visit, I ordered the Overnight Oats and one Cinnamon Roll pancake. I love when places let you order just one specialty pancake versus a whole stack and was really careful when ordering it. When she said the final total, I knew it couldn't be right so I asked again about the pancake, and sure enough, she's charged me for the whole stack. It probably took a whole 5 minutes to fix the order, while the long line behind me grew longer and antsier. In the mean time, people who worked behind the counter kept bustling in and out and one slammed a tray into my backside really hard. There was no apology or anything either and when the same person who took my order brought my food out, she practically threw my food at me. :( The food this time though...overnight oats were AMAZING. I've tried making that exact recipe and they don't turn out that like that! You can get the oats with either fruit or granola--I opted for fruit and was not sorry about it...the fresh berries really took them over the top. The cinnamon roll pancake was perfectly fluffy and delicious. It was just how I wanted it to be and even a bit better. Overall, I'd come back for the oats and pancakes even though it's a little pricey for what you get but might steel myself with protective gear and overwhelmed/not so great service. read more

Hash is overall a super solid place to have some amazing breakfast food. Location: if it may have seemed hard before it has become much easier now. Once you've found the giant KAWS BFF Companion statue (which you should go see for yourself anyway, especially if a KAWS fan), then just to the right of it is Hash. Ambience: low key/casual. Line to place order and pay. Food get taken to you at your outdoor patio table. People: staff are super nice and welcoming!! Very helpful! Food: AMAZING This is hands down exceptional breakfast food. I will say that each item is pretty darn big, so consider sharing with someone if you are famished. Definitely will be back for my Hash craving!!! read more

Don't be fooled by the prices. For $12 you could get a box of Eggo's that are fluffier and crispier than their Belgian waffles. And they won't taste like banana. Egg scramble? I hope you like globs of half melted cheese as the star. You won't taste much else unless you pick it out. Coffee is thin, but you won't be if you like tater tot's with breakfast. read more

VEGETARIAN REVIEW: The food here is really good and despite being busy they get the food out rather quickly, have a lot of vegetarian options, had the 3 egg scramble and a couple bites of some Cinnabon pancakes that I shared with the family. Everything tasted wonderful but especially recommend the Cinnabon pancakes. read more

Awful place to order from, READ THE BAD REVIEWS FIRST THEY ARE TELLING THE TRUTH. Food wasn't ready for over an hour. Masks somewhat used. Not fully. Horribly attitude from owner(if you have bad customer service maybe hire better people and leave yourself out since you are the problem) Male owner was immediately dismissive of me( a female) but clearly could talk to the males. However after stopping and reviewing what I saw today, 100% the owner is the problem. The cooks are clearly pushing themselves to physical limits because the owner is OBVIOUSLY taking too many orders. And finally there was a hair:/ I don't blame the chef or Whom ever handled the food, I blame an owner who is whipping them so hard they can't stop to make sure everything is secured. threw it all away, order was wrong anyway. Never coming back and going to be spreading the word about this awful place. Hope the workers are at least being paid way over minimum wage to deal with that ass. -100/10 Don't bother replying if it isn't for a refund and you just want to give me the copy and paste reply you give to everyone. read more

Was looking for a breakfast place and found Hash on Yelp. It's very small and most likely, you will have to sit outside. This place is overhyped. Nothing spectacular about the food and you are eating next to a garage. It's ok if it's warm but it was cloudy and chilly when we went. Small selection of breakfast items like pancakes and breakfast burritos. You can mix and pick what you'd like in each. By the way, they will validate tickets for parking in the garage. Overall, I think some of the customer service could improve. Our cashier girl was pretty impatient and it was clear she did not want to be there. We took a little longer to read and understand the menu since it was our first time, but when we walked up to order, it took a good amount of time for her to actually look up and give us eye contact. We even had to ask several times for her to validate our parking ticket. She was impatient and reluctant to spend the time to explain or answer any questions we had. Really regretting tipping the amount we did. The man who brought us our food, who I am assuming is the owner was very friendly and respectful. Also, the restaurant is located in an office area with young professionals. A group of the them sitting next to where we sat down to eat outside gave us the dirtiest looks and said some sarcastic remarks to us because we made some noise moving a metal chair. Besides all of that, the food was ok but nothing spectacular. A little bit overpriced, even for LA. Next, time we will be finding more of a sit down restaurant with more to choose from. read more

2018 YELP CHALLENGE: 28/100 Solid 4.5 Near perfect self-serve breakfast place close to LAX and Howard Hughes that was probably only supposed to be for tenants, but blew up on Yelp!! Although still in it's infancy (dining room still in development), Hash is a wonderful healthy, hearty, and CHEAP breakfast joint with a small but unique menu HIDDEN in the FOX apartments in Playa Vista. We got the Hash On Hash ($10), The Omega ($10), and the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes ($11). All were fantastic. Quick Tips: -VALIDATED PARKING!! Visitor Entrance off of Bluff Creek Dr -Known for their Carrot Cake waffle -Actual cafe ONLY has bar seating inside. -Plenty of outdoor seating and a separate dining room next door -Maple syrup is an extra $2.50, regular syrup is FREE -Dining room is chilly inside. It was a particularly windy and cold morning.....Seat cushions would have been nice. -Order at the counter and they bring it to you. Self-serve plastic silverware. -Bad cellular service Taste 4.5/5 SO MANY breakfast options!!!!!! The Hash on Hash is a delightful mix of peppers, grilled onions, tomatoes, crispy hasbrowns and 2 fried eggs that comes with a choice of protein (get the SHREDDED BEEF), and a choice of either Pepper jack and Cheddar! Hearty but not heavy.. The only problem, it came out cold. Cinnamon Roll Pancakes were very fluffy and didn't require syrup (even though the kind waitress brought some). Cinnamon chocolate chips melt in your mouth. Not too sweet. Tastes just like a cinnamon roll! The Omega (my favorite) was a salmon torte that had generous layers of spinach, salmon, red peppers, grilled onions, swiss cheese, garlic and herbs sandwiched between crispy phyllo. It was tpped with a fried egg and accompanied by a very mayo-ey garlic aoli on the side. Got my fill of healthy fats for the day!! Price 5/5 HUGE portions. Although the price did slightly increase in the new year, they were definitely worth it. Service 5/5 Loved the knowledgeable and kind staff! Lady recommended the Omega over the El Gordo and I couldn't be happier. Overall, while this place could use comfier seating and actual silverware, the coffee was good and the dishes were full of flavor. It is a little out of the way for me, but Hash is definitely worth trying. read more

It's probably the best hash-place I've ever been to. I've been coming to this place for the past couple years and they've maintained the quality of the food. I usually get the shredded beef hash, which comes with eggs and hash browns. The hash-browns are unique since it's mixed with sweet-potatoes which makes the meal even better. I have yet to try other things on the menu but am too hooked on their hash-bowl and am afraid of missing out if I don't get it. read more

Unfortunately, I will probably stop coming here. There is no management of this place. When you walk up after waiting an hour for online order, there is no one there to greet you. When she finally does come no hello or good morning. They are usually about 20 minutes later than they say. Now, the parking out front is closed due to construction so you have to park on the other side of the building. This has become very unpleasant. After the long long wait there was a huge line of angry customers waiting after me. Bad job. read more

With all the covid19 crisis, we have been ordering out a bit. We were so glad to have ordered breakfast here this morning. The burrito with the beef was so damn delicious! My wife got the bowl with tater tots, turkey sausage and eggs over medium. The portions were huge and full of flavor. Order here with confidence. Great tasting food and very filling. read more

Actually got out of bed this morning and made it over to Blue Bottle in Playa Vista. It's a nice little walk from where we live. On the way we saw the sidewalk signs for Hash. It had been bookmarked almost since their opening but we don't really have any reason to be there so we never had made the effort. Since my partner in crime (PIC) and I were both intrigued and the opportunity had presented itself we decided to give Hash a whirl. IMO the menu is engaging (i.e., the whole left side is populated with waffles, French Toast and pancakes) and it looks like both breakfast and lunch are pretty well covered also (there is a large menu posted outside). As you step inside it is evident that the interior is devoted mostly to food preparation. There really isn't much space for eating inside except for a 8-10 foot counter that I don't even think had seating. I'm sure this isn't much of a problem for the average Hash client who works in one of the surrounding offices. We ordered our food from a woman who after I handed her my card for payment promptly gave me a slip to sign and disappeared, never to return. I finally got the attention of another employee and asked if they wanted my signed slip back and was told "no". After stepping away from the cashier's area my PIC asked if we had gotten a "number or something" for our order (which I had not). I never enjoy when you have to go back to ask for something that should have been given to you in the first place. Awkward! And then after waiting for a few moments I had to interrupt and request what turned out to be a numbered card and a stand to place on our table. This accomplished we proceeded outside and found a nice "clean" table for two. I ordered the Carrot Cake Waffle (they say you have to try it. It says it right on the menu, I swear!) and my PIC had the Big Papa's Sandwich (BPS). The waffle was better than expected. Fluffy but still with a good carrot cake heft. Good carrot cake flavor too. But the icing was too sweet for me (most people maybe?). I think it should be offered without the icing and with butter and maple syrup as an option. I would imagine that can be done (I would hope) if you know to request it. The BPS was a substantial breakfast (or otherwise) sandwich that was well constructed with scrambled eggs, lettuce, cheese and choice of protein. Everything was well prepared and the portions were such that we both brought half home (the waffle was SO rich!). So, why only 3 stars: Hash does a number of things right. It was clean, well organized and even the cute square paper plates were a nice touch. They had a good bottled drink selection too (AND they serve Groundworks Coffee, quite respectable IMO). So my question is, why can't they get a handle on taking care of customers at the cash register? That seems so basic to me. In the end this gaffe made our overall experience way less than it could have been. We will give them a second chance sometime, maybe. After all, they are a little out of the way for us. Remember Hash: You only get one chance to make a first impression. Any time you have an opportunity to make a positive one-on-one impact on your client you should make the most of it. Sadly, today you did not. read more

This is my local go-to when I need a hearty breakfast. However not easily found since it is between two complexes. Hint: If you find the Blue Statue , you are there. So this location is pretty small but they do have some outside seating options that usually get packed quickly. You order inside and then they bring food out to your table. I usually get the breakfast burrito or their bowls which are both really tasty. I like that they have tons of protein options, turkey, bacon, sausages, ham and few others. The staff here is very helpful and also this place is kept really clean which is a plus. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area. They do have a wide selection of items for breakfast in case you are looking for just a lighter option. read more

I get my breakfast delivered from here often. Everything is made well. Tasty and large portions. Their croissants stuffed with cheese and ham are really good. Tater tots are perfect! Their pancakes are soooo tasty. I think they put some sort of sugary coating. French toast hasn't tasted good the last few orders. It tastes over cooked! Overall, the best breakfast nearby! Same prices as IHOP! Great addition to the neighborhood read more

Parking is nice since they validate so don't forget to validate. There is plenty of parking in the garage next to Elmo. Seating is all outside so be advised. Also, it may be hard to find seats. The staff is friendly. The restroom is clean. The food is ok but pricey. read more

**I ordered from Uber Eats so this review is solely for the food!** I tried the "Big Papa" breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage as my protein. It came fully stacked with 2 eggs (any style), croissant, havarti cheese, caramelized onions, arugula and roasted tomatoes. I ordered tater tots on the side not knowing that the sandwich already came with them...no problem! Can't have too many tots right? Everything was fresh and flavorful. Stopped by today with my friend, called and ask for directions and the lady who explained them to me was so nice and patient and that was such a little thing but it made me feel like It wasn't a hassle. We come in and the guy in the front was super cool and he told us he was new, and there were orders going out left and right, he had to take out drinks also to customers, but he handled it like a champ, and was very courteous the whole time. The food was delicious I had a server pick out my egg options, ( best scrambled eggs I ever had.) and the coffee was hot and fresh! We will be coming back! They have patio dining, it's very well spread out, and easy to stay 6 feet apart from other patrons. P.S Robert the security guard was so friendly and nice! They are lucky to have him ( all the businesses in this area are.) But I hope Hash knows as well. read more

This place is overrated. It takes at least an hour to get your food regardless what time of the day or if you order it online or in person. Sometimes they are so backed up where it'll take 1.5 to 2 hours of waiting. They just compensate you a dinky about of standard chips and salsa. Worst thing is that their meal has so much grease. See the picture below. I had at least 3-4 tablespoon of oil at the bottom of my bowl. So much grease seeped through to stain my couch and left a mess on my coffee table. The team didn't read my instruction of light sauce. They still doused so much sauce on my bowl. Lastly, I eventually put my hash on a separate bowl with a paper towel liner so it would absorb all the oil. I still had so much excess oil. It was so unappetizing I didn't even eat my meal. When you take the first bite, you'll just taste so much grease that you'll get a headache. My boyfriend ordered hash with brisket- and still had the same amount of grease. Why wait more an hour for a bowl of mediocre hash douses in grease? I wouldn't. Their hash browns are hash browns you would be serve at school back in the day. Nothing gourmet. If you like that, then hash is your place. Hash used to be delicious and hardy even with the long wait time. Now it's worst than your fast food breakfast. A breakfast sandwich meal with hash browns would have less grease than that I had. read more

I loved all the greens and pita to wrap the pork and goodies into! We ended with a bday scoop of mango sticky ice cream which was completely different than I've had before and yummy.
