Terrible experience. We ordered pickup at 11:45am and were told it would be ready at 12:30 am. We went over at 12:40am and they told us it was not ready yet. Almost an HOUR AND A HALF LATER we had to demand to talk to the manager as we saw multiple people order and get their food during the time we were waiting. The manager, clearly annoyed, told us there was nothing that she could do and it would come out soon--I'm sorry??? Is that not what managers do? Expedite? Apologize? Fast forward another 20 minutes and we finally received our food. They close at 2pm and if we didn't make a fuss I honestly believe they would have closed on us. The Gordo had NO taste - and we asked for extra cheese but it wasn't cheesy at all . We also had the salmon torte with feta (as extra) - but there was no feta at all ... The food also sat there for a while because they forgot it (it was our to-go order we were waiting for) - we had to ask for it two or three times till they realized it was that bag on the side (sigh). No apologies or anything - by then we had been waiting for almost half an hour so we left right after ... only to realize that the cheeses had been paid for but not added. I had been wanting to check out this local breakfast restaurant for quite some time. I had seen the great reviews on Yelp but somehow could not make it over by their daily 2 p.m. closing time until today. We had to use Waze to find this gem which was ensconced deep within the depths of Playa Vista's business district, if you will. Luckily there is a stand up sign on the sidewalk which prompts you to enter the driveway and head towards the parking garage. Hash is to the right of the garage and validates parking where on the weekend, all the parking spaces are fair game. You order the food with the cashier who gives you a number to place on your table. Luckily, we arrived 30 minutes before closing so most of the diners were close to done eating and the kitchen was able to prepare our food within 10 minutes. All of the dishes were delicious. I had a basic breakfast of bacon and eggs but I ordered tater tots which were perfectly crispy. My husband ordered buttermilk pancakes which were perfectly thin. His omelette was quite substantial and filling though it also came with tater tots. All in all, it was a great experience and a great new local find. We'll be back! read more

Did not like this spot. I paid $12 for a carrot cake waffle that was super mushy and undercooked. My fried ordered the hash bowl (might have the name wrong) but they basically put eggs, bacon, tater tots in a bowl with a sauce. That mess was inedible! The whole bottom layer was swimming in grease- so we sent it back and the waitress drained it supposedly for it only to come back still full of grease! The food deserves 5/5 but the service is a little lacking. Nice people but they don't really pay attention to the order so if you end up ordering take out, you'll likely have missing items. If you ordered it through a food service app like Uber eats or DoorDash, they can't fix it on their end so you'll also have to fix their mistake just to get a refund. If you get this Hash--amazing food. I'll probably return. Just every time I go there I always end up wasting time or money because I either have to chase a refund or just bite the bullet. Overall, the food was really good from this place. I would definitely come back. However, my order from GrubHub did not fulfill my expectations. I hate to base a review on food received through a food delivery service, but here we are. My partner's Chiquitas and Gringos w/ tofu was awesome. I also got the El Gordo burrito w/ turkey sausage. This was also pretty delicious. The thing felt like a small child in my hands and was definitely filled to the brim and plenty of sausage, which I always appreciate. The only downside is I requested chile verde sauce on my burrito (which I paid extra for) and the burrito did not have any of this sauce in it. I also requested extra salsa and sauce, but in the end my partner and I received only two tiny packages of salsa for my burrito and her Chiquitas and Gringos. Definitely not enough for both of us. Considering, in my opinion, breakfast food can only go so far flavor-wise (eggs, potatoes, and breakfast meats can only be so nuanced), the sauce and salsa accompanying breakfast options is a huge part of what makes a breakfast great. Overall, the food was definitely very delicious, but I would not order delivery again. Came here the morning after Christmas for some breakfast since most of my favorite places were closed. I got the Hash on Hash with bacon and it was really good and super filling, I didn't even finish. The eggs were a PERFECT over easy (I'm super picky) and the garlic aioli added a really nice creaminess to the bowl. Tator tots were adequately crispy, but I also ordered for pick up so they probably lost a little bit steaming in the bowl. My only issue was the cold brew. I love Groundwork, which they claim to sell, and I certainly love and can recognize their cold brew. Whatever Hash gave me was not it. The coffee was not smooth and not that cold - it definitely doesn't resemble Groundwork cold brew. The service was great! Staff was super friendly and helpful. My first impression of Hash was that it was small, as the inside was just the kitchen area, but the outside dining area was arranged nicely and feels more cozy than cramped. The food was very good, I ordered a hash on hash with cheddar and bacon for about 16 dollars, and my friend ordered an egg Benedict for about the same price, food came out in about 10 minutes, and the servers were nice and courteous. Founded in the cut in fox sports, this place is a hidden gem. Get there early to beat the morning rush. The staff is super friendly and patient with new comers. They'll help recommend a dish and they all seem to have a very positive attitude :). The reason I didn't give this place five stars is because... 1. They said that the food would come out in 15 min or so... we waited for 30 (be prepared to wait longer if there's a rush). 2. There was supposed to be whipped cream on the chocolate chip pancakes but it came with a slice of butter. I would have been 100% fine with that if they had told me that in advance. 3. The food was pretty cold by the time it got to us. I also would have like a seat cushion cause the majority (99%) of seating is outside and all they had were metal chairs, which were pretty darn cold. However, they did have heaters which was chill. I used to absolutely love coming here, there food was great. But I just came here again today and my food wasn't out after an hour and twenty minutes! I talked to multiple servers, none of who did anything to get me my food. Everyone after me in line had already finished eating and left a long time ago. When I asked the cashier, I was offered a free coffee for my time. The food is good, bu definitely not worth an hour and half wait. Previous review: This is such an incredible brunch place! Came here looking for a good breakfast place close to LAX. Decided to give this place a try. There's a small street you can turn into, and you're immediately greetrf by a huge blue elmo statue. We were able to order right away, and probably got our food in 5-10min. But this place gets busy fast, because as we sat their eating a good 20-30 people showed up, so its really hit or miss here in regards to the wait. I ordered the hash on hash with peperjack cheese and bacon as my protein. I was quite surprised to see how much steam was still coming out of this thing. 2 sunny side up eggs on top of a bed of crunchy hot tator tots with a generous amount of bacon bits throughout. The food was quite good. With the oozing of the egg yolk and the tater tots soaking up the yolk. With the chewiness of the bacon bits. Flavors were definitely there. This is a very good breakfast place that is a must try when you're around LAX. Food came out quick. Staff was knowledgable about the menu. Food tasted great. And they validate parking. Ok...there really are no words that do this justice. This is one of the best breakfast spots in LA. The "Hash on Hash" is the ultimate in comfort food breakfast. Wonderfully balanced and savory. I've been to Hash now several times and each time the FOOD is great. Service, meh. Here's a tip - try to avoid the busy weekend mornings if you can. This is when service is worse - nearly chaotic - and the food is not as top quality. I usually get the Bepob Bowl, which is usually full of shredded beef, with pickled onions, sautéed spinach, mushrooms, egg on a bed of rice. It's an ideal - and one of my favorite- bowls, out of anyplace. The mix of flavors is amazing. The beef is tender, not fatty, and along with the veggies adds great moisture to the bowl. If they're busy, you may not get as much beef. Either way, you're going to be VERY full after eating this bowl. Last time I ordered the scramble, online, which is cool as a build your own - protein, two veggies, and a cheese. It comes with tots and toast. I asked for sourdough toast which I'm assuming they don't have because they gave me wheat. There was a mix of tots which looked really weird and unappetizing (see pic). Overall, this place has great potential. Food is good, service is a little chaotic and dry, but it can be overlooked since it's a fast casual environment and you're really not engaging with them much. Started off with the glazed cronut (meh) and a pink lemonade (didn't even taste like lemonade) so we were worried from the start. The orange juice was pure bliss however!! Don't recommend this restaurant for families:( Not a lot of seating as they *hold* tables for parties of 6 or more, but don't specify that, so even if there's ample big tables that are open and unseated...they won't give them out to families of 4...which is shocking! Translation = Them making money with (potential) big groups is more important than allowing present customers to sit. Food wait is on average 20 to 25 minutes (at least in my 5 visits there), condiments, silverware & napkins are kept in a station outside and you have to kind of serve yourself (and don't take from inside as that's for their food pickup services and not for paying customers at the restaurant). Food is very tasty but the seating issues,the service and the haphazard customer service factor, especially when you have younger kids with you, make this place a lot less exciting to frequent. I've been to Hash quite a few times. The food is really good, don't get me wrong, but sometimes i think it looks better than tastes. I think the hash on hash is my favorite, I've also gotten the scramble which is lighter, and tried the burrito for the first time recently. The burrito was super cheesy, like too cheesy and not enough tots or bacon for my liking- is mostly eggs and CHEESE tbh. I think I'll stick to hash on hash from now on. If you come from the parking garage the entrance is a little confusing, we walked into the kitchen versus the actual location. We were greeted by a friendly staffer and we were directed to the dining room. You order at the counter and then they bring you food. The ambiance is really hip with multiple unique electric fireplaces. The waffle was really good, the tater tots were below average and the eggs were runny (scrambled) and not great.
