Decided to try another new brewery, S.Y.C. Brewing Co., in town. It's located in the industrial…read morehood of the west end. The only landmark to me in this area is ATHX Performance. We dropped in on a Friday evening (around 6:00pm). You order at the counter and can start a tab. Vibes are chill and there's an upstairs with a few games (uno and cribbage) and a projector (with the hockey game on). There were 11 beers on tap along with two snacks (sausages and Zwick's pretzels). Cans are pricey ($18.00 to $22.00 for 4). A bit sad that there's a few flavours you can't taste. - Pretzel ($3.00) - nice touch that they heat up your pretzel. It comes with a side of Dijon mustard. - Flight ($10.00 for 4) - we decided to try nuages (table saison), lunar phase (farmhouse pale ale), sandy beach (American pale ale) and pineapple F.O.M.O. (kettle sour). None of the beers were particularly interesting or unique but the pineapple kettle sour was the best of the bunch. Standard beers but at least the vibes are chill at SYC.

Their brewing equipment is in the same location as their bar. They offer a good amount of beers, which all taste amazing!! You can find a Groupon to taste their beers for two to four people, along with a pint or growler to bring home. They have a mezzanine where you can drink, and play cards at the same time, just having fun!! They also have a variety of canned beers that you can buy. I recommend this brewery to anyone who enjoy good beers.

DO NOT kid yourselves, this is high quality dining at local, reasonable prices. We ordered the herbed chicken and a half rack of ribs and the spicy garlic butter prawns. We asked our fantastic server if the chef could split our order into 2 plates. She runs away and comes back in 2 minutes saying the chef would love to do that for us. Awesome! We're happy. I just kind of expected 2 bar style plates with our food lumped onto it. OMG! Was I blown away! The plating was what you would expect in a high end restaurant, not a Bar and Grill! The Keg, Chop, etc, beware. This hot new Steakhouse just might have your number. Our chicken was cooked to perfection, while being one of the juiciest chicken dishes I've ever had. The only thing keeping the chicken together was the perfect Grill marks! I'm saying this was superior chef skills. Veggies, perfectly grilled and just a touch crunchy. Perfect! Mashed potatoes, were amazing. Perfect garlic flavor. Just a touch on the cool side, so that's my only critique. However the hot gravy on the side solved that pretty quick. The prawns were still hot, perfect texture and the spice was exactly what it promised, spicy and garlic, without being too spicy. Brought out the depths of the sweetness of the prawns beautifully. Ribs! I almost forgot the ribs. Lol. Juicy, very well cooked with a nice sweet BBQ sauce. A touch fatty, but I like mine well done and forgot to ask. Otherwise, amazing. Dessert, White Chocolate Brownie. Sadly it fell victim to our spoons as soon as it hit the table, but I managed 2 pictures before it's demise. Think of a brownie, then add coconut, then add ice cream, with a pinch of WTF was that awesomeness and multiply that by 100! With an expertly drizzled combination of chocolate and white chocolate sauce on the plate. I wish you could have eaten it! All in all, absolutely, 100%, recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing meal. Hands down, you will not be disappointed.

The food has been amazing every single time we have gone. At first it seems like just a random pub, but the quality of food is amazing. Including this one that we popped into for a later lunch. The seating area is huge and the staff are very polite and took our celiac food allergy order seriously. Which we loved. My wife ordered a cheeseburger in a lettuce wrap and a large Cajun fries for us to share. And I had a single cheeseburger with all the way ingredients, minus the mushrooms but added fresh jalapeños. Yes, it's fresh jalapeños, not pickled like what everyone else does which was a really nice addition. Cajun fries were perfectly seasoned but we found them to be small in size. Almost like they were cut sideways to make them short. And the cheeseburger was amazing with all the fresh ingredients, juicy burger patty and very messy . My wife said she didn't even miss the bun and really enjoyed the lettuce wrap around her burger. We very much enjoyed our experience here today and will be returning the next time we are in the area.
