Pro - location. Northampton is a great little town…read more Also, the front desk staff is extremely friendly and is doing their best to go above and beyond. But, I had to knock off a star because the Wifi in the rooms doesn't work. This is a massive disappointment for what is supposed to be a modern hotel. As is the case with technical things, I assumed it was a me problem. The friendly front desk staff explained that the public WiFi works fine but the guest Wifi is problematic. This means that after driving for 2 hours and arriving hangry and with hours worth of work to do, I have to sit in the lobby to get anything done. It is challenging to focus because there are other groups here talking. I am loyal to the Marriott brand and have the gold lifetime elite to prove it, but I don't think I will stay in this hotel again. After a day of work, I want to be able to settle in my room, order some food, take my bra off, and do the work I need to do to get ready for the next day. So I must say, this is a huge disappointment.

They have wine and beer for sale. Neither selection is great but duckhorn reds are a strong option. No IPAs for beer and that's disappointing. Wifi was also disappointing and the TV was very strange, rebooting several times before we could watch anything. Hot water seemed limited when we were there but perhaps they were booked up and we were all using it at once? We enjoyed our stay and will return.

We expected to be in the main building and were disappointed to be placed in the Gothic Garden out building. The first room we were in had a broken air conditioner and the temperature of the room was 78. After speaking to the staff a man in a suit with a walkie talkie came over. He tried but failed to open a window and poked at something on the air conditioner unit. Nothing changed and about 3 hours later, I went to the main building to report it. Amazingly, they had a room upstairs. The air conditioner worked in this room, however it was fighting with the 78 degree temperature and went on for 20 minutes then off for 20 minutes repeating this cycle all night. It would have been ok if it didn't sound like a jet engine at the foot of the bed. And the mattress was so pillowy that you couldn't move once on it. Neither my wife nor I slept and not for a good reason. When I checked out, I mentioned the discomfort and noise and the staff only wanted to know if I wanted my receipt on paper or by email. Highly disappointing and expensive mistake.

The Tuscan Salad was missing several ingredients mentioned in the menu, included rotten pieces of lettuce, and was overladen with roasted garlic cloves. (After the first 5 or so I opted out of the remaining 10.) The balsamic dressing was way too sweet. I only got it because they were out of the one i wanted - they were out of a lot of dishes. My dining companion noted that his food wasn't very warm, the carrots were inedible, and did I mention it took a long time for our food to come even though there were hardly any other diners ? Finally, we had a lemon cream cake for dessert that was almost painfully sweet.

We stopped here (two cyclists) freezing cold, and the woman at the desk welcomed us in and gave us a rate comparable to a Motel 6. The room was already heated and we had warm water, plenty of space, and toiletries provided. Cheap and clean, and we are very grateful for the "cyclist discount." I would stay here again.

I haven't tried this brand like ever during my 9 years or so of traveling, since I have read online…read morereviews of these properties under this brand. You know, since this Motel property fit the budget parameters, I decided to check this place out just to see what they're all about. America's best value inn is one of those budget friendly hotel options that you may want to consider applying your next vacation. While this option can be used for stretching your travel dollars to a maximum use, do your research before booking. I was surprised that this property was as decent as a Motel 6. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as bad as they say online I will but you never know with some people. For me, it was a basic but pleasant stay and I would consider looking for another America's best value Inn on future travels. I arrived here for one night in Holyoke, MA on a recent October 2016 stay. This particular hotel does mirror motel 6 a little bit and the accommodations are basic, yet comfortable at the same time. The selling point of America's best value Inn is basically the cost. It's relatively cheap, based on the area you are staying in. For me at this location in Holyoke, Ma, the price was around $69/night. The overall experience here in Holyoke, MA was as decent as ever. Yes, I chose this property for the price and i did look elsewhere to see if I could have avoided this one, but at the end of the day, I wanted to check this property out and I'm pleased with the results. This particular America's Best Value Inn is located at 671 Northampton Street here in Holyoke, MA. I have stayed in 4 star hotels to the 1 stars, including Motel 6's across the USA, so I know the game. Even motel 6 is pretty decent when it came to basic accommodations and a Roof over your head for a cheap price. It's the same premise for America's Value Inn. While this property isn't for everyone, it can be an option for budget friendly folks who want that extra value for their travel dollar, myself included. They accept credit cards, which is always nice. This Motel is basically one large building with two floors, I believe. They also have private parking lot, but it does seem like they don't have that much spaces. I was glad that I had found a spot next to my room, so I could get in and out with out walking lol. Like some budget motels, they do not offer free breakfast. The wifi is not really good, so I just used my cellular data for the night. The television worked alright, so I just spent the evening with my Subway footlong sandwich and watched television. Relaxing is the most important thing while on vacation after all. The room itself was small but comfortable. The bed was decently comfortable as well and and I slept around 7 1/2 hours that night. This stay has been a pretty good one and thought that this brand ain't so bad. However, my guess is that it may be franchisee owned and operated, so I can guess that each property will vary in appearance and perceived comfort on everyone who stays here. Like I mentioned before, it's pretty basic. Just a bed and a TV and some furniture. Along with A private shower, that's as basic as you can get without having to pay extra for a basic basic accommodations. If you are into that, without the bells and whistles, this property may be the best fit for you. I have pretty low expectations, but I always value my personal safety when it comes to booking hotels and the brand-name that's associated with it. Plus, it has to be clean too. At the end of the day, it's all about comfort and happiness of the traveler who staying at the hotel. I was good with this day and happy with the basic comforts and accommodations that this hotel had provided me. After all, 7 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep after running 26.2 miles over the weekend was epic and blissful. Keeps me sane and happy. :) 4.0 stars for the room and the bed comfort. 4.0 stars for the check in and out service. 4.0 stars for room cleanliness and basic maintenance. 4.5 stars for the cheap rates. The free breakfast is meh quality but hey, it's nice to have someone else cook for you regardless. There's a pool too that my kiddo enjoyed. The hotel is 2 minutes from Holyoke mall that includes a Target. We got a frozen skillet meal from Target to make for dinner our first night there. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. Edited to add: As of August 2022 the staff was not masking, nor were masks required in any area of the hotel. The guests were mixed on masking. I had a serious unresolved booking problem there for my intended stay August 9-12, 2024. At check-in I was told, in sequence, "4 rooms left," then "2 rooms left," and finally "no rooms left" for any part of my intended stay. The sequence of having been told 4, then 2, then no rooms left was especially frustrating and seemed to me retaliatory for my mild expression of dismay, consternation, and frustration. My daughters and I arrived late from Logan Airport due to Debby weather, delayed rental car, and rain on the turnpike. We were attending my parents' funeral on the 10th. I understand that all people aren't going to be best friends; however, this night manager showed zero empathy. And worse, with the cockamamie room "countdown," I felt the manager exhibited personal animus. We stayed at an alternative--a nearby Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott--which we booked ourselves. Even so, on August 12, I received from Homewood Suites by Hilton an invoice and a paid receipt for all nights of the stay, August 9, 10, and 11. The only time spent at Homewood Suites by Hilton was in the lobby at 4 a.m. with the vindictive night manager counting down "4 rooms left," then "2 rooms left," and finally "no rooms left."
