Company hosted an off site meeting here so I am spending 3 days here & got to know the place well…read more The location is very convenient, right off highway 91. The meeting room is large, all 75 people were no problem with space in the back fit product display. It's hot in the 80s but the air conditioning works well, actually a bit too well & many Europeans complained that it's too cold, we had to up adjust a couple of degrees. The lunch was underwhelming thou, 2 types of wraps with meat & one with veggie, that's it plus a choice of plain vs. BBQ potato chips. It's average place with decent space plus ample parking but it's not s premium joint. You get what you for I guess. If you want a meeting place on a budget, it's worth considering.

The room smelled of mildew, there was no ironing board to press a dress shirt for the next morning, and only one coat hanger in the closet! Additionally, there was no collapsible stand to place a suitcase, so I had to open my luggage on the desk. The fitness center was ok, but the water cooler was completely empty, so there was no way to hydrate after working out without drinking tap water or buying a bottle of water from the front desk. Or I guess I could have drank the water leaking in from the ceiling and windows on the stairs from the main floor to the first floor where I was staying. Part of the stairwell was blocked off with buckets to catch the water. But the bed was nice, and the Internet was relatively fast for a hotel, so, two stars!

Costing $106.42 for the Friday night, it provided what we needed before an early flight at the nearby airport. I prepaid for the nonrefundable stay through the Choice Hotel website (currently running a promotion with Rakuten for 10.5% cash back on base rate). All the rooms entrances face an indoor hall, for added security (i.e. it's a hotel not a motel). There is a basic (some hot items along with waffle maker) breakfast available in the morning for all guests, along with a dining room to bring in your own food. The room was fine, with two comfortable beds, a working TV with plenty of channels, a 'Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner' with analog temperature controls, a small bathroom with good water pressure tub/shower combo. Wifi is included and worked fine during our stay. Checkout was as simple as dropping the key off, and I did get a receipt (with correct amounts) via email later that checkout day. The hotel does have restaurants within walking distance, including a Cracker Barrel, Burger King, and a Dunkin (pretty much all donut shops in this region are Dunkins).

Our little one came down with a nasty cold and we didn't feel comfortable flying back to Hawaii with him being in the condition he was in. The staff was extremely helpful in extending our stay and making sure we were okay, and I'm so appreciative of that! The complementary breakfast in the mornings was super convenient, as was the 24/7 tea and coffee. Proximity to the airport is amazing and they also have a free shuttle to take you there. I highly recommend this hotel if you're flying out of BDL!

The venue seemed nice, but was pretty busy, even later in the evening. I got there at 9PM to check in and then went to a local Mexican joint for dinner. I checked out the next morning around 3:30AM to head to the airport for my flight, so I didn't get to experience much about this property, other than the TV, my bed, and the shower. The TV was excellent, as it offered full streaming TV options. The bed was comfy and so was the room and the shower and bathroom area of the room had issues as the toilet didn't flush unless I took the tank lid off to jiggle the float to refill it. Overall, not a bad stay.... I'd probably try the Sheraton at the airport next time though.

Now when we are in town we stay here and drive back and forth. This is a great Holiday Inn Express. It is a little different layout than most, but the rooms are nice with walk-in showers and very comfortable beds. It's nice to have some extra space with a couch and coffee table too. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good. Plus 24-hour per day coffee in the lobby. The location is very close to the airport (and super close to the rental car facility). There are a number of restaurants close by, as well as a CVS. You could sometimes hear planes taking off from the room, but it wasn't a bother. My only complaint about this location is that the (free) parking is not close to the door. Even the handicapped parking is a bit more of a walk then normal. Highly recommend this location if you find yourself in this area.

We even tried to make it work because we were in town for a funeral and asked them to clean the room however I got in bed and noticed bed bugs CRAWLING in bed with us (see video). I went in my pajamas at 11pm and showed the front desk clerk (he said there is no manager to even speak to until Monday) and he did not bat an eye, or apologize. Or even offer an explanation for the video of the adult bed bug crawling in bed and actually said he would only us for one night (we had stayed 0 nights and barely checked in) - I told him we would be leaving and we need a refund for the only two nights we were supposed to stay. He didn't say a word and then came to my room, knocked on the door, and said he spoke to a manager and if we leave in ten minutes he will refund for both nights. We left the hotel disgusted and disappointed, only to get an email we only got a refund for one night. We called the hotel and he said we would have to call back Monday and hung up. There is no excuse for this kind of negligence - blood, pubic hair, bed bugs, bodily fluid, and no apology. I plan to take this to IHG and higher however PLEASE stay away from this place
