I received a box of Harvard Sweet Boutique cookies as a gift. It was send in a very cute branded box with a bow, very well packaged to make sure all the pieces arrived intact. Besides beautiful presentation, the most important part, cookies , were delicious! I got an assortment of different kinds and enjoyed all of them . Key-lime-pie cookie, raspberry brownie and nutella blonde were to die for . I would definitely recommend this bakery if you have a sweet tooth or need a delicious gift for someone else. The triple chocolate cupcake is very good. The cake is good but I wish it was more moist. Lots of thick frosting. Very rich. The gluten free vegan chocolate Oreo cookie was huge! It had decent flavor with an interesting texture that reminds me of oatmeal or granola. It's not bad at all, just not what I was expecting. Service was quick on DoorDash. read more

I got the weirdest birthday cake this week. It was supposed to be lemon with raspberry mousse filling. The decorating was beautifully done, but it didn't taste like lemon, and the filling was some kind of strange orange stuff. It didn't taste like raspberry, was not mousse, and in all honesty, no one liked it. My husband thought it vaguely tasted like orange sherbet, but I couldn't place it at all. The cake was $135, so this was disappointing. I have ordered from them before and was happy with the other orders, so I'm hoping this was a one-off. read more

We ordered a vegan chocolate cake with raspberry filling and it was delicious! You definitely never would have guessed it was vegan. Rich chocolate flavor, nice tart raspberry filling to balance out the sweetness, smooth and moist cake. The frosting decorations also came out beautiful! The cake was enjoyed by all. read more

I bought some cupcakes only to discover that the coconut one had cream cheese frosting, something my guest doesn't eat. I brought the cc back the next day, wrapped, and asked if she, the owner would replace it. i explained the situation and she said her coconut cupcakes have always had that frosting. However would I know that ordering it for the first time? I think of cream cheese on carrot cake. Anyhow she said I could buy another flavor which would be another $5. I asked one more time and she said, "I can't replace it". my thought... She didn't want to. It's a shame because I have bought lots of gift cards there... never again. read more

We discovered Harvard Sweet Boutique in 2022 by getting one of their carrot cakes for Easter. The way me and my fiancé's jaw dropped when we tried it!!! Not only is it the best carrot cake we have ever had, it is the best cake we have had PERIOD. We pick up slices of it at the Horseshoe Pub (across the parking lot from them) pretty often. You will not be dissapointed if yoy try their cakes and desserts! read more

Exceptional service, appearance, and taste! The floral cupcakes that we easily ordered online were ready precisely on time, the looked gorgeous (even better than the Website photo), and they tasted even better. We ordered an assortment of vanilla, funfetti, and chocolate. They were also very reasonably priced. The cupcakes were absolutely the hit of my daughter's bridal shower. I would use them again in an instant and highly recommend them! read more

I'm gluten free and these desserts are amazing!! I was also pleasantly surprised at how many different gluten free options there were in the cases. I got 2 Fancy GF Brownies, one mint, one strawberry...both delicious! I also got the Raspberry Oat Crumb bar! The employee working said it was one of the most popular items on the menu and I can definitely see why! It was delicious. Excellent product. Service is dependable. This is my go-to bakery for my parties BUT this time the brownies and bars are way smaller than the last time I bought a bunch! I had planned to cut them (as I have before) so folks can try a couple different flavors. But they're small now! read more

Awesome GF cupcakes and cookies, as well as non gluten free pastries and cakes. Gluten free brownies were amazing! Vegan options as well.

I could not have been more pleased with my daughter's Encanto birthday cake. She was ecstatic when she saw it. What an awesome find in the little town of Hudson! Thanks to Rita V for the recommendation. In the plaza that shares a parking lot with the Horseshoe Pub. Cute little store front with the baking magic room right off to the side. I came in with the intent to get 1 or 2 things just to try them out. That was impossible and lucky enough when I checked in on Yelp I got an instant coupon to buy 4 items get 1 free :) I ended up with a turtle type shortbread, pumpkin whoopee pie, caramel apple cupcake, pumpkin french macaroon, and another blondie type turtle. The pumpkin whoopee was filled with a maple type cream filling and was heavenly - not to mention massive and only $3. The macaron was perfect... a perfect french macaron in Hudson? Who would've guessed. The cupcake itself was a perfect yellow cupcake but did have too much very sweet frosting - the caramel on top and in the middle was amazing. Both the blondie and shortbread were good but not as good as the others. They definitely have a really good caramel here. Their prices are very good and well worth it. It is also really great that you can order cookies to be delivered. The owner Susan was here and she was very welcoming and friendly! read more

We ordered the floral cupcakes from the Sweet Boutique website for a baby shower. They were just gorgeous lending such a festive air to the event. This is our "go to" bakery for all occasion. read more

I ordered a cake recently for a farewell party for a close friend and neighbor who is moving to Florida. The only instructions I gave were that it needed to be big enough for 25 people, be a white layer cake and the decorations have a beach/Florida theme. I was nervous when picking it up but was immediately bowled over by the decorations and the external beauty of the cake. The side of the cake had a dolphin, pink flamingos, a beach umbrella etc. And......as importantly the cake was absolutely delicious!!! It was the hit of the party! Only crumbs left when all was said and done!! Will definitely be a repeat customer!!! read more

This past weekend Harvard Sweet Boutique in Hudson, MA created a woodland themed cake for our daughter's baby shower and it far exceeded our expectations! I had shown Liz some photos of cakes I'd seen on Pinterest and she took the theme and ran with it! From the chocolate butter cream frosting and moss-covered chocolate 'bark' that she made to the fabulous naked cake on top, it actually looked even prettier than the photos I'd shown her! A few little woodland critters and trees were added and it was everything I had imagined and more, a true masterpiece. The guests at the baby shower were blown away by the cake, both the beauty of it and how GOOD it was! Thank you, Liz and Harvard Sweet Boutique, for everything! I will be recommending you to everyone I know! With many thanks, Donna read more

I ordered a customize cake here, last minute. The staff were very accomodating. The design to came out to be perfect, exactly like the design I showed them. Excellent service, very accommodating and helpful. The cake itself was moist and sweet. The frosting though was too thick and very sweet. I would have liked a more balanced taste between the frosting and the actual cake. I'd come back to try their other sweets displayed in store. read more

Ordered a cake for my Mom's 80th birthday last minute as we had a change in plans. Ordered Wednesday for Saturday pick-up; looked through their photos of cakes and found one I liked and asked them to adjust flowers for fall theme with sunflowers, mums, hydrangeas and roses in a fall color theme. It was gorgeous; they were so kind to bring to my car when I came to pick it up. It was chocolate cake with raspberry jam filling with buttercream frosting - great combo. The cake was super moist and my Mom loved it. Thank you again for going above and beyond and making her day special. read more

They removed my review on their website, so that should be a red flag to others. I'm very disappointed in what I received as it was not what I requested/specified, as well as the poor customer service to remedy the issue. I had to make multiple attempts at communication, sometimes not receiving any response. Beware if you order over the phone that you will receive what you requested. My order was not the right colors (for a girl baby shower) and lacked the details in the pictures on their website. If their customer service was adequate (even a partial refund would have sufficed), I would not be writing this review. I guess you take your chances with this bakery. read more

I went to Harvard Sweet to have frosted sugar cookies made as a favor for my daughter's Baptism. I'm a procrastinator and was nervous because it was a week before and I had not coordinated any favors yet. The team at HSB was perfect! When I came in, they told me they could create the cookies I wanted and in the quick timeframe! It was so simply and easy. They even let me send them the invitation to match the style and colors. Everything came out perfect. Cookies were individually wrapped with a bow. Everyone from the party was raving about how fantastic they were! I look forward to using them again! read more

The 10" chocolate decadence cake that they made for a birthday party I hosted was nothing short of magnificent! I needed a special cake to celebrate the wedding of my son and his husband and we also needed gluten free desserts for some of the guests. HSB did not disappoint on either account. The GF desserts were amazing and were arranged so beautifully on the plate! They were even being gobbled up by the guests who could eat gluten! However, the cake was the piece de resistance! I asked for a rock climbing themed cake, sent the cake designer a few pictures I found online and the result was way beyond my expectations! Her design was sooo much better than any I had seen online! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. read more

I ordered my grandmother's 99th birthday cake from here: vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, and lemon buttercream filling. The cake was delicious, as was the filling, but the frosting was so thick and sugary that not one person of the 15 people there could finish it. I have a huge sweet tooth but it was entirely too much sugar. Also, I got the 12 inch because we had 15 people and the description said it feeds 18-30 people, and I didn't want to not have enough cake for everyone. The cake turned out to be enormous, with 3 layers and all that frosting; about half the cake was left over. Keeping these things in mind I may order from here again. read more

Five stars is not nearly enough! I called them for a last-minute wedding cake six days before the ceremony. The bride is gluten-free and the couple is pretty unconventional, so this was no easy feat. Not only did Liz get it done, she channeled the inspiration ideas to make a cake that made everyone gasp. It was beautiful, delicious (even for those who aren't gluten-free!), and 150% this couple's personality. If we had six months to plan there couldn't have been a more perfect cake for them. A million thanks to Harvard Sweet Boutique for making this day perfect! read more

Picked up a beautiful and delicious birthday cake. Cute shop, with lots of yummy choices.

We ordered a cake for the holidays and it was as yummy as it was beautiful. It was a work of art with snowmen and trees. We are so picky with cakes that we were ordering out of state and paying for overnight delivery. The buttercream was sweet but fluffy and the cake was moist and flavorful. Now we have an upscale bakery with delicious treats just a few minutes away. The staff were also very gracious and offered curbside pickup although we decided to go in as they were very strict on their rules and there were no other customers in the bakery at the same time. Let's all keep local businesses like this rewarded for their outstanding products and sincere interest in their patrons. read more
