We had a great time apple picking! We came on a school holiday and it wasn't too crowded. We did the hayride, hedge maze, saw animals, and ate donuts. We also picked apples. $25 for the smaller bag and we got plenty! Love how they have ladders set up. We got a lot of honey crisp. Fun experience with so much to do!

My family and I come apple picking every year. It's an incredible tradition that we have kept going. We love to park in the lot across the street from the store. It gets busy so we try to go when they first open so we can secure parking and not wait in the long line for donuts at the end. They have bathrooms as well as port-o-potties. This is helpful for small kids. The apple picking bags are cash only. We can pick apples and pears in the same bag, which is the true gem. I don't know if another farm that gives you the option. The staff are all helpful and nice if you have questions. We love their honey crisp apples and their fresh apple cider donuts. They always have plenty of apples no matter when we have come. Their farm store carries tons of products. We always get apple cider as well. They have an area for pumpkins and several farm animals. We haven't done their corn maze or their hay rides but it looks like fun. All in all it's a nice family friendly place with so much to do.

Go early! Came here for a few years now and was lucky to get parking at lot A every time. Be sure to arrive by 9am. Nobody at store, line for cider or cider donuts, plenty of apples, etc. Usually out of there by noon before the crowds. Made a mistake by arriving an hour later this year and what a mess. 45 mins to get cider donuts, almost an hour to leave the parking lot, 30 mins for toilet. Staff need to re train on re directing traffic. Nobody in our lot was able to leave while the other lanes were constantly moving. Honeycrips were available second week of Oct this year. Plentiful of harrow sweet pears. Never tried? You must next year. It's like a hybrid of pear and apple $5 for the monster maze and it probably takes an hour to find your way out. $2 for hayrides. Bring food if you don't want to wait for burnt hot dogs or burgers Nice orchards. The trees are super tall unlike others. It's huge and plenty of apple and pear options for everyone. I even saw wild turkeys roaming around. It's not their fault that some areas are muddy. Just wear proper shoes. No dogs allowed and cash only. They do have atms. Buy a small bag for $25 and will cover admission for three people. Large is $38 (admission for 5 folks)

Charging for the hayride ? Meh Trekking a quarter mile to the first available apples? Meh No handicap parking ? Meh $38 for a bushel of apples we should get a better experience IMO.

This is a really fun and quintessentially fall place to visit. Parking was easy, and our first stop was the line to order fresh apple cider donuts. The donuts were delicious and fresh, and a little bit warm. We got a bag with a half dozen so we could take some donuts home, and they continued to stay delicious and soft for a few days after. Highly recommend microwaving them for a few seconds if you bring any home. The donut window also sold caramel apples that looked tasty. We then stopped inside of the store that sold pre picked apples, other apple products, maple items, etc. I got a small bottle of fresh pressed apple cider that was super fresh and tasty. Our last stop was walking around the property to see the different farm animals. We only did a small portion of what this place offers and we had a great time. You could bring kids or adults here, and I think all ages would have a great time and be able to find things that interest them. One thing to note, you have to spend a minimum of $5 to use a credit or debit card so it would be a good idea to have some cash on hand.

This will be the third year I've come to Honey Pot for apple picking! They have everything you need for a fun day filled with fall activities. Plenty of apple trees with ladders for apple picking and they also have other fruits like pears and blueberries. Lots of other activities like an area with different animals to feed and pet, mazes, hay rides, and a hard cider tent with live music. They have a food stand with some burgers and hamburgers - I do wish they had more options. However, the apple cider donuts and apple cider make up for it!

Best value for large families looking for apple picking. $38 gets you a huge bag and admission for 5 people. Cash only but ATMs on site. There were also an amazing variety of apples avail end for end of Sep. Food: not listed on their website but there is a grill that offers hot dogs and hamburgers so lunch. Cider donuts are $1 a pop are hot and fresh and melt in your mouth. You can get an entire pie for $18. The line is long but moves fast. Hard cider tent for adults overlooking the pond that is available from 12-4 weekend. Activities: A wonderful scenic hay ride around the entire farm with unlimited stops is only $2. The hedge maze is a legit and great for adults and older kids. Parking: plenty of free parking. They can handle crowds on a busy day

** Cash Only Entry** Farm store and donuts accept card Came here two weekends ago when we thought it would be the last day 70°F out on a weekend in October and wanted to be outside and my friend said she's never been apple picking in MA before so we came here. It was $22 for the 10lb bag and granted entry for 3 which was reasonable. It was very crowded so it seemed like minds thought alike to be outdoors on probably the last nice day before it gets cold. The orchard that is in the vicinity of the entrance was a lot more crowded and barely any apples than the area across the road. There were lots of apples to pick on the other side especially the farther you walked away from the entrance. We were able to pick: McIntosh, Empire, Macoun, Cortland. There were 2 or 3 more varieties as well but I don't remember the names. There was a really long line for the farm store and donuts. But if you're with a group splitting up helps and the lines move at a decent rate. We got apple cider donuts. Comes as a standard bag of 6 for $5. They were so good. Hot and soft that it was crumbling in my fingers I had to eat it fast. We also got a bottle of cider for $4. Very nice and refreshing.

Don't recommend coming here in the winter. The animals were super cute and all, but without foliage, my friend and I were pretty bored. The "freshly baked cider donut" we got for $1 wasn't good either, and honestly did not taste freshly baked. Glad we only got one as opposed to an entire box. I will say though- the bathrooms are heated and super clean which is not common to come across in farms!

Ask the Community - Honey Pot Hill Orchards

Is there a place to eat at besides eating the pastries and fruits they have at the farm store?

Typically on weekends from September through October they have a grill that serves hamburgers and hot dogs, occasionally they'll have a special sandwhich like pulled pork. And water and cider to drink. The past couple of years they have had two…

From Boston, it's a scenic drive out to Stow. I couldn't stop gushing over the foliage on the way there - I've turned into a total leaf peeper. Carver Hill is absolutely stunning in the fall, definitely worth a trip. Pleasantly surprised to find the lot half-empty when we arrived on the later side of a Saturday but then it filled up by the time we left around 3. To your right, as soon as you drive in, you'll see an area with pumpkins and the farm store - this is also where you get PYO fruit/veggies if you're paying with credit. If you have cash on hand, you can pay for a bag at the little stand right in front of the orchard. A peck (the smaller bag) was $25. I was a little skeptical at the size but it's a good deal if you really pack your apples in there. From there, the apple orchard. Not the biggest I've been to and the selection was understandably limited. We missed the sign to download the QR code for a map of the orchard and so had to rely on a photo of a thin pole with all the names/colors wrapped around it. Don't forget to stop at the store before you leave. I grabbed some pumpkin pie, jam, and an apple cider donut - they also have apple cider slushies and multiple flavors of ice cream. The donut was THE BEST, made fresh, almost falling apart, thick and generous coating of cinnamon and sugar (also tasted nutmeg and allspice in the coating). Absolutely worth waiting in the line for, but make sure to pay first and get a little yellow receipt/tag from the register before you get in line for the donuts.

Their fresh donuts are the best of the best and the service was so fast. The cider barn was so cute and I loved all the flights I tried. The shop is so cute and the orchard is lovely. Went with my husband and 10month old to pick some asian pears and honeycrisps. There was organized and ample parking. The main paths have large gravel rocks that were loose and uneven and a grass strip in the middle. It was a bit hard to push through even with our stroller with large wheels. The tractors that occasioned through blew the dust up around the paths too. There were plenty of porta potties and I also liked they have a hand washing station too. We didn't try any of the food trucks but appreciated the option. Farm stand was small, there were some picnic tables but could have been more (potentially near the food trucks) There were some chicks, bunnies, a goat, and donkey? to look at. The kids play area has a 2-5 & 5-12 play structures and water play but they were very close together, not much room to run around between the structures.

Parking has good size space and we were able to find a parking right away. We were hungry so we decided to try their restaurant but the line was long and kitchen was backed up. We waited 20-30min but decided to give up. While we were waiting i got some apple cider donuts which were $7 for 6 to at least has some food in my stomach. The donuts were good but wasn't warm anymore. We ended up just getting food at the food truck and got some drinks at the general store. They have selections if hard ciders and apple ciders and apple products. After we ate we went to pick some apples. Large bag is $40 and small bag is $30. We ended up getting one large bag to share. They have good selection of apples but unfortunately honey crisps were not around. Maybe we're mostly already picked due to its popularity. We got to try few different apples and ended up liking the ambrosias. We packed our bag full and left the area They also have outdoor bathroom available and portable sink. The place was very busy and it was a bit crazy. Maybe best to come when it's not too crowded. The place seemed to be more like a tourist trap and price of everything was expensive. I had better time in other farm that are smaller and less busy.

We sat and waited patiently for our order as the place was busy. 45 minutes later, the bartender informed us that she forgot to put in the order and that they are out of pretzels. I was pissed. The bartender comped the lousy beverages and my husband's undercooked Italian pizza bites. Will never go there again. Such a wasted day
