Great sushi! Doordashed some rolls for dinner on a Friday evening and I really enjoyed my meal. All the sushi tasted fresh! I personally had to stop myself from eating everything because it was all so delicious haha You can tell the sushi was rolled/made with care and I enjoyed the packaging as well. Man I'm so impressed with Haruseki. I ordered over UberEats and was so thrilled by the quality of the packaging and the food itself. The rolls were fresh and chilled, the fish itself was flavorful, the ikura nigiri was extremely fresh. I cannot wait to come in person to try their other items out. Leaving another review because I am SO impressed with this place! As someone who is gluten free, and has to write in a lot of "special requests" on online orders, it is always nerve wracking waiting to see if the restaurant actually fulfills the special requests... Haruseki has NEVER failed me! I notated GF soy sauce, and they paid special attention to provide gluten free soy sauce AND gluten free eel sauce! I've never had a sushi restaurant do that before. Dude! This place is legit for late night sushi. I had friends over and realized no one had dinner- took the risk of ordering late night take out sushi- and we were blown away by the presentation, the curation, the freshness (my scallop nigiri was cool (temp) and belly's were so satisfied. Really good sushi but the wait is 1 hr! It's in this food pick up mall in Costa Mesa. You just go to the front and there's a person working there who has a bunch of lockers with food ready for pick up. Parking lot is really small and crowded. No water cups. You can't see the restaurant or talk to any staff. You just talk to the mall attendant. Close to the beach so it was nice for a beach lunch picnic. They put 2 rolls together in a box so it was confusing because we got 6 rolls for 3 girls and they were all kind of mixed up and again you can't speak to the restaurant read more

This place is amazing! The sushi is SO fresh! My new favorite sushi place! I ordered for the first time through Costa Mesa Kitchen. When I arrived for my order, someone had taken it. The chef (a woman) came out personally to apologize even though it was not her fault. She re made my entire order and even gave me a complimentary cucumber salad. That is amazing customer service. It was a super busy Friday evening. I highly recommend the sushi but will order from the Haruseki restaurant instead of CM Kitchen. read more

Customer service at its best! It's Super Bowl Sunday afternoon and I just placed an order through UberEats. Almost immediately I received a phone call from the restaurant explaining that they share a pick up lobby with a few restaurants, including Wingstop and because of Superbowl, Wingstop is extremely busy so there is a long wait for pick up at the lobby (about one hour). The owner asked me to give her phone number to the UberEats driver so he can call when he arrives and she will bring the order to him at the parking lot. She even added that if I am not able to reach the driver or if the driver gives up, she will personally deliver my order to me! When the driver arrived, the owner was already in the parking lot waiting for him with my order! I ordered sushi moriawase and no rice sashimi roll. Both were great! The first time, they included a hand written personalized thank you note, the second time they included a complimentary order, I believe it was a delicious baked yellowtail collar. The most recent order, they accidentally missed packing the side sauces ordered. At the moment we were bummed, I left 4 stars with a note that there were no sauces included. Later, I noticed I had a voicemail from before the order was delivered, sincerely apologizing for the mix up. Exemplary example of thoughtful customer service! I felt bad to dock a star prematurely, so I'm leaving this shining, yet accurate review of this place. I believe they are a newer establishment, but so far they've demonstrated the kind of service people tell their friends about. I wish them much success and will continue to order from them. It's really easy to order on the kiosk in-person or ahead of time. You pick up your food via a contactless secure locker. The presentation, flavor, freshness of the ingredients, and the generous portions were all amazing. I also didn't have to wait long for all this food as it was a very reasonable time frame. This place is take out only so you just pick out items you want at one of the kiosks and it tells you an estimated time of how long it will take to be made. What a great place! I ordered via Uber eats and it was packaged better than almost any place I have ever ordered from. We had requested less rice on our rolls and there was a personal note in there stating they did their best with less rice but also pointed out their "riceless" rolls for our next order. They also included little candies for Halloween! The food was fresh, great temperature and safe, sealed packaging. All the little things were done. We will for sure go visit their restaurant to checkout more of their menu! read more

Ordered delayed delivery through yelp. I don't know much about out sushi, only what my husband likes. Ordered a crunchy roll, dragon roll, spicy tuna roll and some other items.
