My mother lives in Cleveland so every time we come to visit we go to Hartz for the buffet. Buffet bar is smaller than most other Hartz, but they do a good job keeping the items fresh and the food is good quality. Great value for what you get. Unlimited trips to the buffet. Fried chicken and chicken strips are my favorite. As of 5/7/22 the indoor dining/buffet is only open Saturday and Sunday. They said they can't get enough people to work to keep it open 7 days a week. The drive through is open 7 days a week, but because the dining area is closed, the drive through line can have lengthy delays. read more

Time, I have been drive Thur so often. My wife love their food. When it come out of hot pipes chicken. It is taste so good. But today, she really tick me off. She refuse to take my order on drive thur for 5 min when she deal with speaker on drive thru, mind you. I am deaf. I never had this problem till today. I ordered the chicken liver meal and asked to substitute half of the livers for gizzards. They were hot and delicious when I received them. Portions were well over the advertised dozen! They were fried to perfection. Would not hesitate to stop there again while passing thru. read more

The lobby is only open on the weekends. The drive thru is open from 10am to 10pm but the long line will dissuade customers. The service is super slow. read more

I'm a truck driver. So obviously I can't go through the drive thru. I walk up to the door and it's a paper that says the dining area is open Saturday and Sunday. Me thinking I'd get a pass, sat there and knocked as they tried their hardest to avoid looking at me. Caught the guy by the fryer look at me then immediately try to avoid eye contact. Like someone could have Atleast came to the door to tell me no one can go inside even if we are truckers. Lost of business. Especially for truckers. I have always had a heart for Hartz. That being said, when I came to this location and went through the drive thru and ordered almost 50bucks worth of chicken, my card was declined. The employee had already handed me my order. Now what? Do I give back the chicken, I ask if I can leave something as collateral and go pull out the money from an atm? The employee says" no, no collateral I trust you." (as I look her in the eyes). " I'll be right back." I say as a look of almost panic slides over her face realizing I could just take off with 50$ worth of food that she would be responsible for. When I came back 10min later with all that I owed, she greeted me at the door with a big smile of relief. I asked her, "why did you trust me? " She simply said that I looked very honest. I thanked her and warned her that looks can be deceiving, that's how Ted Bundy had so many victims. (She looked puzzled) I would definitely go to this Hartz again, I hope It survives this plandimic, unlike all the other buffet style places. read more

It's not a Michelin star restaurant but it is my favorite go to for chicken! I love their cole slaw and cornbread! The chicken is always tasty. And they have chicken livers...yum! The staff is very hard working but could be more courteous but that seems to be a dying perk in the marketplace. I just like to be told thank you for my business. I've eaten here twice and this place is just okay. The Buffet is kept pretty full and they have choices of fried chicken and fish. There is also baked chicken. Nothing was bad but nothing was great either. If I had to find one thing that stood out from the other food it would be the coleslaw. Try the coleslaw. Like I said, everything was just okay. What can I say, some times I really want a big crispy tasty piece of fried chicken and this place fills my taste buds every time, its kinda pricy for chicken unless you get the buffet, but it is worth it, I order the extra side of honey mustard every time I get food to go. the buffet is small but has a good selection and there hot wings are good(some times you have to wait for them). the pieces of chicken are large, crispy and very filling.
