On Wednesday, January 9, 2025, at or around 9:45pm, on my way back to Houston, I stopped at this Whataburger drive thru. I ordered the Bacon and Cheese Whataburger with onion rings and med. Dr. Pepper. #1, it was VERY DISAPPOINTING to see a young man walking around the food prep area without a ballcap, as everyone else was wearing, or wear at least wear a hair net. It is a pet peeve of mine to see a restaurant worker in the food prep area without protection. In the past, at other restaurants, I've encountered hair in my food, therefore, PLEASE WEAR head protection, even for those that have beards! # 2 the Patty was cold and thin #3 the Dr. Pepper was not mixed well. I know owners like to save money but don't change the recipe. That's how you lose customers. I hope this owner or owners get this Whataburger straight as we know all Whataburgers. Not sure what is going on at this place. I swear to you over the last year they haven't gotten my order right ONCE. Every time they're missing something or give me a completely different order. Used to go to this location all the time but now I try to avoid the craving. Inside is the same circus but you can correct them instead of "oh pull forward for me" then you're stuck there for god knows how long. Just look at the picture I'm posting. That's lettuce! I'll be honest, I don't eat fast food often. Today my husband wanted Whataburger and asked if I wanted anything. I let him get me a whatacatch (fish sandwich) with no tartar sauce, just fish and lettuce. I don't eat a lot of bread so I tend to eat 1/2 of any sandwich and disassemble the rest and only eat the insides. This is what I found when I opened my sandwich. I had already eaten 1/2 of the sandwich and there's no telling how many gross, rotten pieces of lettuce I actually ate. I'm so sickened that anyone would actually put something that nasty on someone's sandwich and that a manager would allow it to remain on their prep line (or whatever the sandwich making places are called). First thoughts when getting here, I saw 3 workers just outside doing nothing and when I got up to the window I saw majority of the workers just talking and not working and it also made me a bit aggravated on the fact the gave us the wrong receipt and didn't give us the drinks with our meal. Ah you have an employee by the name of Clyde who didn't want to correctly use the law enforcement discount. They also got his order wrong and didn't even put cheese on any of the cheeseburgers. Plain with cheese, means cheese. 50% off for a discount (which is greatly appreciated) doesn't mean just off the fries. I find it sad that fast food employees are continuously disrespecting offers around the country and never had issues with the ones they pick on for fun. Of course you don't go back to ask for the correct order because we all know what would happen to the food then. The night crew here SUCKS. I had to repeat to the guy at the window FOUR times that all I wanted was avocado and mushrooms on Texas toast. He kept getting it wrong and it was still wrong when I pulled up to the window to get my food. The woman had them remake the burger they prepared and all they did was take the patty off the bread. I ordered extra mushrooms and there was hardly anything in between the two slices of soggy bread. My husband went back in to have it corrected and all they did was add a scoop of mushrooms.
