I ordered my three piece for dine-in. When the lady asked if I wanted spicy or mild, I told her it does not matter, but I would like it hot, just out of the grease, I don't want what's already under the light. She seem to get a bit of an attitude , but It didn't really bother me. I could hear chicken frying in the back. I told her I would wait for that if necessary. She walked around back, and retrieved what I thought was really hot chicken. When I got to my table, sit down and bite into my chicken, it tasted like it had been sitting under the light for at least the last three days. It was COLD. I got the 5pc chicken tenders and while they looked good the breading fell off easily and the chicken was chewy. The mashed potatoes and gravy were great and the fried okra was crispy and delicious. Not sure if I will come back to this location. read more

This was our first time having Church's Chicken in Conroe, TX and we tried it because it's our Texas family's favorite chicken (equivalent to the chicken we had years ago at Knots Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA). We loved it all; we had the 16 piece regular mixed fried chicken meal, spicy chicken tenders, and cheesy poppers). Loved the creamy/sweet cole slaw plus the mashed potatoes and gravy sides. We didn't need to try the honey mustard sauces. We dipped our rolls in the mashed potatoes and gravy, and that was enough. The chicken was freshly made, as we saw them turning out the new batches. Yes, we went there just before the start of superbowl and were well served. Everything we ordered made it into the bag. I have to check back on another day, to see how fresh everything is on a regular day. read more

Pulled in to the drive through was hungry I'm diabetic needed to stop and get food to eat nobody answered the drive through I asked four times if someone was there stayed there for several minutes and as I pulled out to drive away a voice finally came over the speaker and said "Can I help you" as I was driving away I simply said to late and left very poor customer service read more

Restaurant is clean. Floor in dining room is spotless, not greasy like like most fast food restaurants. Ladies bathroom is clean. Gizzards are phenomenal!! I could eat them every day. read more

I have to say a big thank you for whoever is running this Church's location! We had a craving for chicken and drove to this specific location because we heard about the reviews. It was well worth the 30 minute drive! When we got there the drive-through employee was so pleasant and sweet. She explained they just ran out of spicy chicken and we asked if we could wait to have some made. After the wait, what a delicious meal! The customer service was great, the food was fresh, and me and my husband tore through the entire meal in the parking lot in our car. Eating the leftovers today and we feel like driving over there, but they close in 20 minutes so we're gonna have to make plans to do the drive sometime this week. amazing and delicious! Great job. ***People need to tell employees who feed us our food how much we appreciate them. Thank you for caring about how you do your job. It does matter! read more

Chicken isn't just chicken & Church's isn't just any other Church's! What do I mean? Well it really depends on who runs the place & I have to commend the hard working hispanic women that run this joint! They are on point with taking orders, putting together orders & always stocked up. Their chicken is cooked right & stocked up. Not old or greasy! Their customer service skills are impeccable. I'd rather drive to this location than any other because believe me, the other Church's I've been to are usually always a HOT MESS. Funny how a reviewer said she eats a lot of bird... That review right there is a little sketchy & I have to admit I almost fell over because the code word for the D* is BIRD! Puahahahahahaha I'm done. I just can't... LOL This place is legit. Literally the worst fried chicken I've had in the last year, and I eat a LOT of bird! Rather surprising, given the other reviews, but perhaps I caught them on an off day? Everything tasted old and greasy, although the center of the thighs were under-cooked and oozing pink liquid. BLAH! Shrimp was chewy and bland, tenders limp and completely uninspired. Even the biscuits seemed stale, and although they told me the okra was fresh, I have my doubts. My companion and I threw most of our take-out lunches away in disappointment, and certainly won't go back anytime soon. So frustrating to waste good money on bad food! read more
