Initially we had a consultation at the empty house to discuss the ideas my wife and I had for the each room, show her our favorite colors, what we planned on using each room, and immediately on the spot she came up with great suggestions already! We got a more elaborate design document with the proposed changes that she made, and everything was extremely helpful, from choosing decoration to the furniture quality and colors that would go well. All the process was very smooth and both Sanaz and her whole team were extremely responsive all the time, taking care of our requests with a lot of thought. Given that the house needed some renovations, she recommended a contractor that did the work perfectly (thanks, Ivan!) from Redesign Construction, and for final delivery of all furniture, everything was handled by 27 Diamonds with white glove delivery. It actually only needed a small repair and they refused to replace the small plastic part that broke, even with me offering to complete the repair myself, because it was past the 12-month warranty. Instead they said we needed to spend more than $1k to replace a "frame" that the plastic part connects to. They didn't go to bat for us with the manufacturer to try to get a replacement part despite us having spent more than $12k with them over the past four years. I'm surprised to see another recent review saying that they apparently acted differently and were willing to "stand behind" a 3-year-old table that broke. Again, the furniture itself is very attractive. If durability and service aren't as important to you, and this is a comfortable amount of money for you to spend, then it's probably fine.

I am in the middle of a total home remodel that includes a new kitchen but we ran into a serious…read moreaesthetic issue when we raised the cabinet height which now does not match up with the existing window so the kitchen looks lopsided (reference photos). So we don't find this out until a week before Xmas and We start scrambling for ideas and came up with floating shelves. I look on Amazon and Etsy and either they did not have what I was looking for or price was outrageous. I needed custom length shelving and needed it quick at a reasonable price. Shaun at Gopherwood Build and Design was a complete by chance encounter. I went on to Yelp and looked up wood working companies and a few showed up including GW with one lonely review but something about the name (caddy shack fans will understand) captured my attention. So I reach out to Shaun and a bunch of other wood craftsman. I'll give you a guess why I would choose a company that only had one review, not much info online and a physical address that takes you to the Yakult factory (I would have taken the tour). Shaun was the only person to ask details about what I was looking for and the project it was a part of. Everyone else just gave me a quote for floating shelves in the measurement that I provided. Shaun talked me through the project and we ended up with shelves that are completely different measurements, and not because of profit but because he took the time to talk to me via phone, text, photos, FaceTime to help me with my project. We must have over 50 texts going back and forth about the color, the measurements, the installation plan. This guy actually took the time to listen to his client, provide feedback and offer his insight. And to top it all off, he was able to turn the project in a few days and the quality of work is amazing! Pricing is very reasonable! Communication is epic! Customer service is world class! Craftsmanship is great! My next project is taking a cheap Wayfair table and putting a real wood table top and repurposing or up salvage my cheap furniture. Thanks Shaun!
