I was interested in Hart Bakery because the bakery's founder baked for Tartine in San Francisco and Noma in Copenhagen, and I am a fan of anything with cardamon. I got couple items: cardamon croissant (of course), a regular croissant, and banana cake. The cardamon croissant is delicious -- flakey, layered, and slightly sweet. After having the deliciously caramelized cardamon croissant, the regular croissant just seemed too plain. No worries, I ended with the banana cake and it was not plain at all; it was like a fancy banana bread with hazelnuts and shaved chocolate.
