On a rainy Sunday it was time for some coffee and possible dessert so as I've passed it a few times decided to give Hollandia a try. It has a nice atmosphere and is decorated with a throwback approach. You feel like you are hanging out at someone's house. Plenty of cakes, pastries and sandwiches to chose from. It's almost overwhelming. I received some great help sorting it out from the lady that took my order. I settled on the Sachertorte which is also available in a vegan version. I've had the original in Vienna and this one comes very close. Very dense and rich with an amazing & complex chocolate flavor. Paired it with a Cappuccino which was also excellent! It was busy and I would imagine there would be a wait for seating at certain times. They have a ticket/number system for ordering so this gives a sense. Ambiance is great, in door and out door seating. The danish wasn't fluffy when I bit into it but it was good. Nothing spectacular that I would come back for so maybe I picked the wrong selection. Very nice and smell wonderful of baked goods. Raining in the city therefore stopped by here for a glass of wine and sweet cake and some to go. Very clean, and great services with both inside and outside seating. Plenty of wonderful, eye catching beautiful bake goods. Ordered at the counter and received the goods then you choose your seating. Got a great seat at the window overlooking the street. Very bright, clean, spacious, well decor and well lighting. I loved this bakery! I drug my friends on the train from Copenhagen specifically to come here because I love princess cake. When you walk in it can be rather busy but they're very efficient. You grab a number and it moves by very well and gives you a chance to decide what you want. I tried the traditional princess cake and the pink one as well. I definitely favored the green traditional but both were super good. I came back to get an extra couple of pieces to take back to the Airbnb with me. The patio is very nice especially with good weather. I tried a cappuccino and fresh squeezed orange juice as well which were both perfectly delicious! My friends tried a couple pastries and sandwiches and we all loved everything we tried. This was def worth the trip for me! read more

Took a day trip from Copenhagen to Malmo and stopped at this bakery. Omg, it was delicious! The desserts were light, fluffy, and flavorful. The women at the counter were gorgeous and kind. When you come in the front door continue to walk straight ahead and to your right you will see a machine that dispenses tags with numbers. Grab one, whether you are staying in or taking away. In the meantime study the menu and look at the displays to see what you're interested in. The girls all speak English if you're Swedish is nonexistent (like mine) and you can ask for a wifi ticket that's good for 45 minutes. Mmmm passion fruit chocolate cake....doesn't sound like it should work....totally works! This bakery had many tasty items including the aforementioned cake and an amazing chocolate tart....all reasonably priced and packed up beautifully for me to take with me. If you are looking for dessert in Malmo, this is a good place to stop! read more

I went here looking for the cinnamon buns that were recommended to me, however they were disappointingly small and overpriced. I didn't think this place was anything special, and I think there are certainly better baked goods to be found in Sweden, however this place has tons of options and it is one of the most well-regarded and oldest bakeries around, so it is worth stopping in to see if anything catches your eye! read more

Not the most charming place and filled to the rim with people, but the coffee was great and so was the cakes. We ordered what looked like a "fastelavnsbolle", a puff pastry with whipped cream, but this Swedish version was a cardamom bun with whipped cream and marzipan, which was still delicious. read more

This is a lovely café with a grand selection of fancy sandwiches and cakes. At least 5 different delicious cakes everyday. A shrimp sandwich to die for. Bottomless coffeecups. (Drink all you want) It's a popular place for students to sit and drink coffee for a few hours while studying. At Christmas time they have a very tasty saffron bun with almond paste and a cookie star on top. Yum! It's a bit pricey but very much worth it. read more

One of the few traditional Swedish food restaurants in town. It was pretty busy at dinner time so id recommend going early. The Swedish meatballs with lingonberry were fantastic. Wasn't completely pleased with the service but the food more than makes up for it. read more

This is the oldest caffe in Malmo. They have great deserts. It is very popular and expect some line before you can order.

It is located at the center. I would say it is really bakery for tourist. They have nice looking cakes. We had some chocolate cake which is nothing special and princess cake which is good. It was my first princess cake so I really cannot say if it is the best. The latte machiatto took awhile to make and not worth the wait. It taste like only milk. I would rather go to the coffee shop next to it nextime. read more

What a nice little cafe! In a town with tons of espresso houses, this place is a real change of pace. You can tell it is much more local and the place, while big, is packed with people. The staff all seemed very nice and friendly! If I lived in Malmö this would be one of my regular haunts! read more
