This place is definitely popular! There was a line when we arrived, and you could tell it was a local favorite among both residents and tourists. One thing to keep in mind is that seating is pretty limited, so you may have to wait a bit if you're hoping to sit down and enjoy your treats. We ordered the Sara Bernhardt pastry with milk chocolate and caramel, along with a hot chocolate and a hot cappuccino. The pastry was such a lovely little treat, especially if you're a chocolate lover! I also loved seeing the variety of beautiful pastries and desserts they had on display. Everything looked so tempting! The bakery itself has a charming, cozy atmosphere that makes it a nice stop for a coffee break or afternoon dessert while sightseeing. It's always fun discovering local bakeries when traveling, especially ones that offer pastries you don't typically see back home. Overall, Hollandia Bakery is worth checking out if you're spending time in Malmö! Just be prepared for a possible line and limited seating, especially during busy hours. Where to get the best semla in town?…read more Malmö resident Richard S quickly replied that we needed to go to Martins Konditori. Tucked in the ethnic food quarter in Malmö, this place is easy to miss, but it's actually just a short walk from Triangeln station. The decor is old fashioned, proven by the flowery curtains and the tartan patterned seatings and the marble tables but it does give the authencity feel, that you know they're making their pastry their old fashioned way, as your Scandinavian grandma would have made them. Price is on the fair side, but don't expect much of a service. The grandma that owns and serves the place can be rather grumpy as Richard S pointed out, so make sure you keep on eyes on the pastries only. Like in most places in Sweden, drinks (coffee and tea) are included, so this is definitely a good place to do your fika. As for the semla, they were good!
