I had a blueberry muffin and early gray double scoop and I have to say it was DELICIOUS. The blueberry compote was so refreshing and the early gray was spot on. Service was so friendly and quick. Overall, great place and would come back.

This is definitely a place to go back many times because everything looked so good and what we had was rich and delicious and made you make all those embarrassing yummy noises.

One year later, Charlie's bakery remains one of the best and highest quality bakeries around!!…read more Before you even order anything, it's a treat to see all of the delicious laminated croissants and fresh bread cooling on the counter; the delectable cookies, brownies, scones and rolls piled high; and the colorful and decadent desserts on display. I maintain that Charlie's has the feel of a bakery in Manhattan, in terms of the cool decor inside and incredibly high quality baked goods. Without question, my favorite item on the menu now has to be their cinnamon roll. It's unlike any of the soggy imitations I'd ever had before and is now my gold standard for cinnamon rolls everywhere. The dough is golden and buttery with a slight crispy texture on the outside, but soft and chewy with lots of delectable cinnamon sugar layered in. The best part though is what seems to be a brown butter cream cheese frosting, drizzled on top. I can't stop myself from devouring the entire thing in one sitting!! They also have the most incredible bacon egg and cheese danish, made with a flaky croissant base that simultaneously shatters and melts in your mouth, and topped with velvety scrambled eggs, a slice of bacon, and melted cheese. Heat it up in the toaster oven for an outstanding way to level up the classic BEC. Also, Charlie's makes a fantastic cup of coffee, and they even have a variety of homemade flavored syrups to add to your latte. The baristas and employees are very sweet and can always give you recommendations. There's plenty of lovely seating inside to enjoy coffee and a pastry with a friend. And did I mention that they make ice cream??! What CAN'T Charlie's bakery do?!?

A phenomenal hidden gem in Northport!…read more Charlie's prides itself on homemade everything and it shows. The baked goods, ice cream and even the latte syrups are all from scratch. Even the ice cream cakes, which is impressive! What I appreciate too is that a majority of baked good are single serving, perfect for a lil' afternoon treat. I've tried the caramel latte and vanilla latte, and both have been superb. I've also had the banana tart and jalapeno cornbread and both were equally good, but the crust was a bit too thick for my liking and the cornbread could've been a touch lighter. But will this stop me from picking up a latte and trying another pastry until I find my favorite? Absolutely not!

Ambiance - 4/5 - Outside was nice, but the metal chairs were very uncomfortable. Overall - 3/5 - My ham, cheese, and asparagus omelette was pretty bland. The home fries were okay, but not great. Toast was okay but needed the jam that came with the fairly good cornbread. Overall, fine spot but would probably not order an omelette. Would Return - Yes, but with more measured expectations.

I spoke to a woman in the bathroom and she said even if you don't have a reservation, you can always find a spot on the grass or chairs. There's plenty of room to hang out. Our server Les was incredible! You can tell when you have a great experienced waiter that is truly good at their job and love what they do! Pay him whatever he wants and never let him go! He truly made the dining experience above and beyond. I ordered the Sauvignon Blanc and he asked me if I wanted a glass or a bottle and I told him I couldn't drink a bottle because I had to drive home. He told me if I was gonna have two glasses. It would end up being about equal to the bottle price and that I could take the rest of the wine home! What a nice surprise, and the fact that he pointed out made me feel like he goes above and beyond for his customers! Now let's talk about the food! I was in a party of three and they had ordered the appetizer sandwich for the table which was gigantic! Both of the other guests love the sandwich, but I didn't try it because I do not like prosciutto. The truffle chips were fantastic; I'm still thinking about them and I didn't even know I liked truffle! I ate 90% of them. The portions are massive but in a good way because the food is exceptional! One guest was so full from the sandwich that she opted to not order an entrée I ordered the margarita flatbread and it had to be over a foot and a half long. I ended up taking half home and my husband ate it and said it was delicious as well. The other guest ordered the meatballs and I tasted them and they were quite delicious. By the time the meal was over we left with half a sandwich half a flatbread and some extra meatballs. For dessert: we got a llimoncello flute and I got the largest lemon beautifully presented with lemon sorbet! I told us I don't usually take pictures of my food, but this was photo worthy! The wine was one of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc that I've ever had in my life! We will definitely go back for the food and definitely will be purchasing the wine again! 4/5 food 10/5 for the service and ambience Thank you for a wonderful experience on a beautiful afternoon! Overall, ranking above five just due to the experience
