The installation quality fell far below professional standards, with uneven flooring alignment, poorly finished transitions, and visible damage left behind after the work was completed. Several areas look rushed and unfinished, and basic craftsmanship details were overlooked. Equally frustrating was the lack of professionalism throughout the process. Communication was inconsistent, and our concerns about the installation quality were not addressed in a satisfactory way. When you hire a flooring installer, you expect precision, care, and accountability -- unfortunately, that was not our experience here. We purchased our wood floors at Home Depot and had our floors installed by Harry's. Jose was the main install engineer and we are happy with the final results. Oh my, where do I Begin? The first person I met was Maria and I absolutely fell in love with her and with her knowledge of carpeting. Then I met Randy and he was awesome as well and then I met Harry the owner who came out and measured and then I met Rachel...talk about good customer service! She was so awesome to deal with. Had a huge issue with our bill and she totally took care of it. Today I'm having the carpet installed and I met Luis and Angel. We had an excellent experience with this business! I called and left a message on a Monday morning, and less than 2 weeks later had new carpet installed. I met Randy when I stopped by the store to check out in stock samples of carpet. Yesss! You read that right. No waiting to order carpet. It was amazing! Randy was very friendly and helpful. They had a nice selection and excellent prices. Harry came out to do the estimate and answered my questions thoroughly. Maria at the store was very helpful when I had a question about taking the next steps and Rachel made scheduling/payment a breeze. They even squeezed us in a few days sooner than expected. I really hate to write negative reviews, and Harry seems like a genuinely nice person. However, this business is poorly managed. The theme here is over-promise and under-deliver. Perhaps they weren't ready to expand to a new location (Napa) and take on more customers. Here's the rundown of my experience: I narrowed down my carpet selection to two carpets that I am told are superior quality to accommodate high traffic and are appropriate for stairs. I don't need high traffic carpet, but I want the carpet to last. I am told by Harry's sister, Jennifer, that one of the brands I like (the more expensive one) is a carpet they have in stock in a slightly different color. I was given a discount since they needed to move the carpet. Installation day, a crew of three guys show up with minimal communication about what to expect. For example, don't walk outside underneath the upstairs window where they will be throwing out the old carpet. During installation, the main installer, Brandon, asks me if I knew anything about the carpet I was buying. Obviously it was a rhetorical question, so I asked him if he had bad news for me. He said he wouldn't put this carpet in his house and explained that it's very thin. He said I need to be careful because it rips easily from vacuuming or moving furniture across it, and then gave me a few tips for how to manage what may eventually be my pain points--tacks poking through the carpet (yep), holes where the carpet punctured from stretching (yep), and the occasional rip that needs to be trimmed and super-glued to prevent further ripping (not yet). Most of the carpet was installed by this point, so we were past the point of no return. Then he tells me he didn't have enough carpet to finish the master bedroom closet. The guys leave (upon completion of all but the closet) and left carpet fibers everywhere throughout the garage and house with hard flooring that could have easily been swept up. During the installation, I received tragic news about a family member, so I didn't pay attention to the finished product or the mess they left. The next day I leave town to be with my family member and tell Jennifer to please communicate with my husband from this point forward to remedy the unresolved issues. Somehow this just didn't translate as I was repeatedly called, emailed and texted while out of state. My husband does a walk through and discovers multiple areas where there were gaps in the carpet from stretching the carpet. My husband speaks with Harry's wife, Rachael, who states "Harry will fix everything." My husband then addressed our concerns with Brandon upon his return to complete the closet. I return from out of town and asked if the obvious seams at the doorway thresholds could be fixed (since Harry promised we would never notice any carpet transitions) along with tacks that poke through the carpet and tiny holes. Brandon arrives at 6am (inconvenient for us, but we just want to resolve these issues) and tells us he will tell Harry to never sell this carpet to anyone else again. There is nothing he can do. The carpet is attractive but thin. The color is nice but not exactly what I wanted, but that's on me for accepting the discount on existing stock. Let's hope it lasts a long time. My family has learned to avoid the sharp tack areas. Is the issue poor quality carpet or poor workmanship? I don't know. That's why I hired a carpet company. We will not be using Harry's Carpet again, and I'm really sad to say that because Harry seems like a genuinely nice guy. read more

We are so lucky to have found this new-to-Napa business! Harry has been in the flooring business for many years and his experience and professionalism shows. We needed new flooring throughout our home after our refrigerator leaked and my husband and I were having difficulty deciding what material to use. Harry was so patient and helpful - very knowledgeable and his store has a better selection than the large chain stores - and with his guidance we finally chose a luxury vinyl that looks amazing.
