Over the past 9 months Dr. Khasigian has performed 2 hip replacement surgeries on me. Today, April 15, 2026 marks 3 months since the 2nd surgery! Between the work Dr. K did & the follow-up care I have received, I am getting stronger every day. His office staff is great, they helped me navigate the system between the doctor, the hospital and the VA for the first surgery. I knew what to expect for the second one and again the staff came through and made it so much easier! If you find yourself in a position of needing hip replacement surgery, I can't recommend Dr. Khasigian highly enough to do the procedure! read more

This Dr's scheduling Staff is totally horrible and they want the patient to do all the work to get authorizations etc, only thing they care is $$. I Have been waiting for an appointment for my shoulder and I have gotten the authorization to see Dr Kashigian but unfortunately his Staff lady who deals with scheduling new patients literally lied to me and stalled my progress and treatment by keep saying she can't see the referral in system which is a total LIE..Now I am looking for another Orthopedic Dr to see bit because of the lack of Dr Kashigians Staff, months passed and I have not been treated at all..Dr himself is a good man and a Doctor but his Scheduling Staff is horrible..They never even teplied back to my emails..If you want to get better, stay away from Capitol Orthopedics. read more

A medical scam artist. I was sent to this guy through calpers to confirm my ongoing disability but he denied me without a thorough or even mediocre exam. He had me undress and look at my body then he measured my legs and the exam was over. I thought he was coming back in to finish and I was told I could leave because the exam was done. My disability payments were stopped due to his negligence. He needs to be held accountable and I should be granted a new exam with a different doctor. My complaint was ignored but I see there's more victims of malpractice than I thought. read more

I think he needs to retire. His bed-side manner isn't open and receptive. I always felt rushed. He repaired a tri-malleolor fracture on me 11 months ago. My pain has continually gotten worse. I sought a second opinion and learned the bones on medial side never healed and ended up breaking the screw. I have to redo and repair the surgery. I am very unhappy. Additionally, his office is like a cattle car - crowded waiting room, long wait times, non-attentive office staff. If possible I would give zero stars. He did knee replacement for my mother. As she woke up from anesthesia, she complained that her same side foot is freezing cold. Nurse put socks on then blankets. Nothing helped. For about 36 hours hospital could not figure out what's wrong. Dr. Khasigian never came to check on her. His PA came twice but didn't tell us why they are looking to transfer her to UCSF. We asked repeatedly. Long story short. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. read more

Dr Khasigian did my rotator cuff repair surgery. The sutures he did looks almost like Frankenstein stitches. I'm sure they could have did a better job with the scar on the front of my shoulder. I didn't see the physician myself, I took my mom there after her surgery since she was unable to drove herself. The office was very easy to find on the second floor. My mom was seen within 10 Mons of arriving at the office, which in my book is expedient on comparison to most medical appointments. The only strange thing was the fact that the receptionist window is always closed. You just sign in, and when they check the sign in sheet... They see you. It even says on the glass window which is frosted not to knock. So I'm not sure how one would get assistance. Other than that, the waiting area was clean. There us a TV but it was off. read more

About 5 years ago I broke my elbow and almost lost the use of my right arm. Dr. Khasigian is the reason that I now have full use of it. He works as hard as you do. I will forever be grateful to the care he and his team put into my recovery. I do recommend that you speak up. If you have questions ask them, if you have goals voice them. And if you think that you need something, bring it up and have the conversation. (I needed more physical therapy for example) He is the specialist but only you know how far you can push yourself and what your goals are. read more

Dr. Khasigian treated me like an animal instead of a human being. It seemed as if he tried to force me into surgery through pain instead of reason. I even wanted the surgery anyway. I ended up far, far worse off after seeing him. Definitely stay away from Harry Khasigian. What he told me disagreed with the research on the topic, and I think that upset him. I felt completely violated and ended up so much more worse off. All I did was go to see him for a consultation. read more

Accepted after 5 weeks with a painful fracture, Dr Khasigian had me in the OR within 4 days of my first appt. He and his professional, compassionate staff have treated me with honesty, dignity and respect. Realistic expectations and honesty about my continued recovery, excellent follow-up and communication. Added bonus--I have never waited more than 10 minutes at my appt. time. Very deserving of his impeccable reputation. Highly recommend. read more

I was sent to Dr. Khasigian by no choice of my own, by CalPERS. He was condescending. When I pointed at my hip bone and told him my hip problems, Dr. Khasigian stated, "That is not your hip. That is your back. Your hip is your groin." He then had me take 2-3 steps and proceeded to tell me I had no problem walking. I walk with a limp, trip, and occasionally fall. All this was documented by my other physicians of which he had reports for; however, Dr. Khasigian ignored them. He wrongfully denied my petition for disability retirement, even after I was medically terminated by another agency for the exact same position, requiring the exact same physical requirements. God help you if you get sent to this idiot. read more

My mother had her second appointment with Dr. Khasigian this morning and it was the worse experience she had with a doctor in her entire life. With her limited English, she did the best she could to communicate with him but the doctor was awfully rude and condescending. This will be the last time my mother ever step foot in his office. I will also make sure this incident is shared among our families and friends. Here is my message to the doctor. Dr. Khasigian: I have a few things I would like to get off my chest. I was dumbfounded this morning after I spoke with my mother about her experience with you. I did a little research and was able to put a name to your face. From the outside, you look like a decent human being, but what you did today was not acceptable by any means from a man of your stature. I do not personally know you, but your actions spoke louder than words. Remember that you live in a great nation where there are many diverse individuals. Not everyone speaks the English language fluently! If you cannot keep your composure and professionalism when working with different nationalities, PLEASE find a new career that makes you happy before it's too late. You are not getting any younger! In your online "Care Philosophy" statement, it is noted that "Patient care is most important to us and we are pleased to have you as a patient" - I say, "BS!" to that... There is a famous saying, "As you get older, you get wiser." Apparently, this does not coincide with your actions this morning. Do you enjoy making your patients feel worthless? Do you feel superior because they cannot stand up to defend themselves from your actions? Someone like you needs to throw in the towel and retire if you are so unhappy with your profession. I wish I was in town to help defend my mother from a BULLY like you. Luckily, I was not there to experience your immaturity and ignorant attitude because I would put you in your place! I am not angry, but I am disgusted and disappointed at your actions. It is a doctor like you that give other good doctors a bad name. I am very unhappy with Dr. Khasigian , He di a full hip replacement on me 26 months ago and all my muscles in my thigh and groin have been damaged and HE DOESN'T CARE , he told his nurse/office manager to tell me that "he did his job" , he has a good reputation BUT if he botches your surgery he doesn't care enough to find out what went wrong and how to fix it. I am reminded of Dr. Khasigian with every step I take . I will be calling his office ONE MORE TIME to let them know that I AM IN PAIN . I have contacted my insurance to find an ortho doc who can diagnose the problem and fix it . I actually would be afraid to have this Dr. touch me . By the way he did my knee replacement also. ( that didn't work either. I would LOVE IT if Dr. Howell would take me as a patient and fix whatever went wrong , but I doubt he will . I have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Khasigian on many occasions and can let you know that he is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Khasigian helped a friend of mine who had lost the use of his bicep and arm as the result of a severe injury in a personal injury accident. Despite other doctors telling my friend that his arm likely could not be saved, Dr. Khasigian was able to fix my friend's arm! I can highly recommend Dr. Khasigian as an excellent surgeon and have been very impressed with him personally and professionally. Way to go Dr. K! read more
