Tip: If you visit in December, check out the Christmas merchandise on the ground floor. I spent a good day at Harrods. I was here in December 2013. It was a treat seeing the Christmas section. It felt like a bonus! This store is London's largest department store with eight floors of shopping bliss. It has been a challenge trying to remember what was on each floor back then. Here goes nothing: Sixth floor: Perfume Fifth floor: Hair and beauty salon, and technology Fourth floor: Children's clothing, toys, denim Third floor: Home decor, furniture, bedding, and giftware Second floor: Menswear, men's shoes, and sports First floor: Womenswear, jewellery, women's shoes, and boutiques Ground floor: Foodhall, beauty, and watches Lower ground floor: Gourmet foods and wine I visited all eight floors. I spent the least amount of time on the sixth and second floors. I dabbled briefly in the technology section on the fifth floor. Most of time time was spent on the other floors. The Christmas merchandise was on the ground floor. It was amazing seeing chocolates, toys, candy, Santa, and more. The foodhall was incredible. The baked goods, sandwiches, mini cakes and chocolates looked in pristine condition behind the glass displays. I had lunch at the Montreux Jazz Cafe. I remember how cool the menu was. It was shaped as a record jutting out of an album sleeve. The music was chill and relaxed. I've been trying to figure out what I ate. I remember enjoying the shopping break. Sadly, this cafe no longer exists. It was created in 2012 in time for the London Olympics. The cafe endured for a few years before it closed for good. Prices are expensive at this high-end store. However, there was a sale on tea. I brought back roughly six boxes of tea. As a tea drinker, the tea varieties at this store were divine. I'd come back just for the tea. I'd also do afternoon tea here. I had no idea that I could indulge until after I had left London. Ugh! There are elevators and escalators to get you between floors. I remember the washrooms being close to the elevators, but I don't recall which floor. The women's washroom on whatever floor I was on was exceptionally fancy. There was a powder room that was separate from the washroom stalls and sink area. There were statues of Princess Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed dancing by the elevators on the lower ground floor when I was there. I just learned that this memorial was removed in 2018. The statues were returned to the Al-Fayed family. I recommend visiting this department store. It is indeed a ton of luxury items under one roof. I enjoyed it as a tourist and a shopper of fine tea. What an exquisite store and shopping experience! It's massive, so it's very easy to get lost. It has everything from clothes to restaurants to housewares and a gift shop. While it's geared for the uber rich, no one makes you feel like you cannot be there and shop. It was lovely. I bought several items from the gift shop that had friendly price points.
Harrods is every bit as chic and iconic as you'd expect. When I visited, they were in the process of getting ready for the holidays, and even during mid-setup, it was already beautiful. I can only imagine how magical it must look once everything is fully decorated! The store itself is massive and you could easily spend hours wandering through the different departments. Everything feels thoughtfully laid out despite the scale. The sales associates were friendly, approachable, and helpful without being pushy, which added to the experience. Harrods is a must visit while you're in London, whether you're there for shopping, dining in, or just soaking up the atmosphere.
Harrods is a well-known luxury department store in London, so my husband and I wanted to check it out. We went to Harrods on April 11, our third day (second full day) in London. The store is huge (in fact, we got lost trying to find a restaurant, which was a bit frustrating), that Harrods is almost a tourist attraction in its own right! We didn't have anything we needed to buy (and prices were expensive), but we splurged on a nice charcuterie board for £35 and various gifts for people, including a tea towel with the Westie dog embroidered on it for Nancy H. We briefly went back a couple of days later, on April 13, to buy lunch from the food hall, and to use the bathroom. So I been hearing of this famous store for a long time so I finally got to visit and walk through it and let me say I honestly was not impressed and if anything I wanted to walk fast and get out of very busy way There's an entire room of perfumes and colognes and omg it was STRONG. And it hits you hard and I was getting a headache within a min of being in there I don't know how they do it the employees lol But yeah it's basically a super high end shopping center filled with high end brands ...basically indoor mall meets department store and honestly I can't afford most of that but even if I could I probably would just go to a stand alone store vs this Oh... and apparently forget having to go to the bathroom my family were sent on a goose chase ended up outside ultimately I mean look if you love being around super expensive stuff and don't mind strong scents this is for you
Harrods a very high end department store in London. With wide range of products. Service was exemplary. Prices of their own products are reasonable and of good quality. They have all kinds of designer brands. I am very impressed with their store brand items especially the designs. Definitely a must go to as a tourist even if you don't have any intention of buying at all.
You can't come to London and not visit Harrods. It is the ultimate posh and pump of the UK. If you're looking for high-end material to buy this is your one stop shop. Every premium brand on the planet Earth this year and price accordingly. Everything here is retail new and absolutely authentic. They even sell real Cuban cigars and the food hall is extremely interesting. They have a chocolate room a bakery room and a prepared food room. All of them are stunning and impressive. It is located in Knightbridge and simply should not be missed and everyone also has to pick up a Hurd souvenir. I bought a teapot and two mugs.
One of the most famous department stores in the world, you have to visit at least once I usually stop by every time I'm in London, now I don't usually buy much except the confectionery as this store is really for the wealthy uber rich! If you're into designer anything this is your place! Me - I just love the food hall!! Fancy chocolates,biscuits, all kinds of goodies Christmas time is usually beautifully decorated here and lots of lovely festive gift - but be warned super crowds, hard to get around the store it's jam packed full of people - not enjoyable at all!
It's honestly rare when I give a place two stars, but the amount of anxiety you feel coming into this store is unbelievable. I don't even know where to begin. Walking in you feel poor (even if you can afford to shop here, the employees want to make sure you feel like you can't.) You get lost. There's hundreds and hundreds of people. You feel overwhelmed. Selection? I'd say there's TOO MUCH selection. I couldn't even begin. If you want to shop here you'll need a time machine to add time to your day. I really wanted to go to the food hall, see photos below. The food was out of this world. I never thought I would see a smoked salmon cake?! That was really cool. But also expensive. I ended up just grabbing a salad and taking it to my hotel to enjoy.
If you are lucky enough to be in London in the holiday season do not miss Harrods. It's a treat for the senses. The eyes - the tastebuds - the smells!! I love the windows are all decorated and so festive! That being said.. it is packed in the holiday season!!! PACKED!!! As in overwhelming. I did one floor and the food hall and came back the next day for shopping for the real real Christmas gifts! Having been to Harrods before, I know it can be overwhelming, go in with a plan. The high end designers are pretty planned out on floor one.. oh and if you're so inclined there is a Moet Chandon champagne bar as well.. make time for a little bubbly in between. The cute Harrods bags are always a treat and sweet gift from London and they switch from year to year as do the Harrods bears and ornaments. Again, you can let your senses go wild in here and with my job.. I did !
Harrods is truly the most extravagant shopping experience I've ever had! We came to browse around and spent hours here! I ended up purchasing a lovely cashmere scarf from Burberry and the woman who assisted me was so nice and had great energy. She had me try in the scarf and made sure I was happy with it before purchase. She offered us waters while we waited for her manager to fetch the one I wanted. They packaged it up so nicely. She explained the services Burberry offers and how to care for the scarf. It was so fun walking through the extravagant stores. The interiors are next level! The Channel store was probably my favorite. We also loved the toy store and got a bunch of cute gifts to bring back home. The food halls are incredible! They have a whole section for caviar and an entire chocolate hall. We ended up getting a number of chocolates. My favorite was a slab of milk chocolate with rice crisps and honey comb. The liquor rooms are stunning. I could spend forever browsing the bottles. I did the most damage in the Harrod's gift shop where I got a stuffed bear, umbrella, and tote bag. This is such a fun shopping experience, especially if you want to make a luxury purchase on your trip.
Unless you're uber wealthy, the majority of tourists just look at the really expensive stuff on the upper floors and skip straight ahead to the Harrods gift shop on the bottom floor in able to actually afford anything, and even then I spent £50 or $67.38 on 2 keychains, 2 pens, and a mini teddy bear. I know Harrods mostly through its connection with Princess Diana and her boyfriend, Dodi Al Fayed, and because of its Christmas window displays. The architecture of the store both inside and out are amazing to look at. For the high end stuff, it's like "That's nice, but I know I can't afford that." For the gift shop, there's a lot of cute things, like stuffed animals, but even those end up on the pricey side and add up quickly. It's good for the experience. When I complained to my friend about how much I had spent on not that much stuff, she was like "We've been" as in "Yeah, this is crazy expensive, but hey, at least we can say we've been here." And you get a nice Harrods gift bag as a souvenir as well.
I could not go to London without tracking down a TARDIS and a stop in Harrods. Especially as a big AbFab fan. Harrods's is massive and impressive. It is worth the visit if nothing more than to just to say you've been. I didn't buy anything crazy but had fun wandering through the different levels and taking it all in and had to stop by the food halls. It's a massive store, over-the-top, and I thought it was really kind of a maze. One thing I observed is that there is not a lot of product out. Just a couple of items and sizes out but not like multiple of the same shirts, pants (etc), with all the size options. Maybe in the back? Either way it is a beautiful, pristine, compound. The restrooms are not easily found, save yourself some time and just ask. My biggest complaint is there is no sit if your legs or feet needed a break.
Harrod's is a London icon and a premier luxury department store and it is a shoppers dream. This store is massive and its known for the fabulous food hall, extravagant luxury goods, and it attracts roughly 15 million visitors per year. Harrod's also features a afternoon tea in The Georgian and it costs about $96.00 US dollars per person. We were here many years ago but I still remember the experience. It was very busy inside and we walked around for a couple of hours just looking and taking in all the beautiful products that were for sale. The architecture of the store is a stunning. We bought some souvenirs, and I also bought a purse and wallet while visiting. We loved taking pics with the life size Harrod bears. I had never been in such a majestic and exquisite store seeing so many luxury items. This store is definitely geared towards the elite and uber rich but we still managed to have a really good time. Service was ample although most of the employees we encountered were very busy hustling to locate items for anxious shoppers. A must visit while you are in London, just don't drop all your cash here. read more
You feel like you are in a different world when you step inside Harrods. A luxury mall with a great food hall, a Prada cafe, they make their own chocolate in the chocolate hall, and every name brand you can think. Our first stop was the dry bar. We have plenty of these back in the states but I had never been to one before, so It's pretty exciting for to me to say that my first dry bar experience was in Harrods in London! I tend to stay away from blow-dry places because not everyone can blow-dry thick curly hair. Kezia was the stylist and she was great!! She was so funny, paid close attention to detail, and this was one of the best blow-drys I have ever gotten! Next, we stopped at Burberry. She was wonderful, poise, and so knowledgeable about the brand. My husband loves his wallet. We then stopped at Louis Vuitton for a perfume. No one attended to us and it felt like they were judging us based on how we looked. Five employees walked right past us and not a single one acknowledged us. Finally someone did and when we asked her what the notes in the perfume were she googled it on her phone. Our shopping day wasn't complete without buying some sweets from the chocolate hall. Let me just start off by saying this is somewhere you need to spend an entire day at because the few hours that I was there, didn't even cover close to half of what there was to see. So the area I allowed myself to wander to was the perfume section. I am very much a fragrance girly, and I was so overwhelmed by all the options that they had... but in a good way. I finally landed next to Tom Ford and it's selections. I had THEE best person help me out, her name was Isra, she was so patient and so sweet, which really says a lot considering how insanely busy that place is. She took the time to show me multiple fragrances and even gave me some suggestions on how to layer them. I really appreciate how she went out of her way to help me find what was going to be the perfect fit for me. I landed with the Tom Ford, tobacco vanille, I was so happy with my choice, but even happier because I felt like someone invested time to help me make this choice. I hope when I return to Harrods specifically in the fragrance section because of course I will be back lol, I hope I am greeted with her again. read more

Was not expecting such an upper level classy department store but it was surely shocking. The wife went into a frenzy, excited by the offerings of all the international purse companies including Dolce & Gabana, Miu Miu, Loewe, and Davinci. Each company works for themselves and leases small retail space from Harrods. If you're in search of a high end purse greater than $3,000 then you will enjoy browsing at this department store. read more
Popped into this store during my brief trip to London and OMG I had never heard of this store before this trip and I'm not sure how because this place is the Whitney Houston of "Department Stores", not that you could even call it that. In fact, don't call it that because it feels disrespectful to call it a "Department Store". It's basically... a museum but you can buy the art! This place is INSANELY gorgeous. Spans I don't know how many "blocks". Just HUGE! Multiple cafes/restaurants/bars. 6 floors, with the 6th floor being for private shopping AKA "money, money, money, mooonay.... MONNNAAAYYY!" Have you ever felt both poor AND wealthy at the same time? This was me, just simply walking around and taking it all in. What an experience! Harrods is an ABSOLUTE must see/stop if you're ever in London. There is QUITE literally NOTHING else like it. It's the onliest Harrods you'll ever be able to experience - there is no other location anywhere in the world read more
My husband had came to herod's years ago when he was in London and he thought I would love it here but he was really really really really wrong. There was a group of friends with us and we all broke up into couples to explore different things. I wasn't there very long before I was just miserable it was so crowded I felt like I was drowning I never had an anxiety attack or panic attack before but I assume that's what it was. My friend caught up with me and she's like well what did you think and I'm like if I had a gun I'd have been clear in the past she's like okay let's get out of here then. I was miserable I would never come back. We were hoping to find the same high-end perfume that my husband bought the last time he was in London. We didn't find it there and I I just couldn't deal with it so I told him I just didn't even care I wanted out of there. I wasn't freaked by the prices but the crowds and no where to sit or take a break from the crowds. They do have a big selection if u can put up with crowds read more
Very nice inside with high end items. The food area on street level with breads and desserts is my favorite but it's only takeaway. The red velvet cake was super moist and delicious. Next time I'm getting the birthday cake. The pretzel was so so. Too plain and dry. There's a restaurant on the lower level. read more

Always a delight shopping here while in London. Lots of great selection all in one place, value for the big bucks of course, great and friendly service. Prada just behind the building has a nice pastry shop with dine in. Not bad! read more

Harrods is an extravagant department store that deserves at least a few hours to experience. We didn't have that kind of time. We came specifically for the Prada Caffe. Reservations is highly encouraged prior to due to occupancy but we didn't do that either, we just walked right in. We were seated right away. We had been walking all over the city all day so we came how we were. Comfortable gym clothes, rain coat and sneakers. We did observe the room and noticed that other diners there were dressed up to fit in with the ambience of the cafe. We did feel a bit underdressed and out of place. This is one of those "boujee" overhyped type places. We ordered two flat white coffees and a tiramisu cake. Presentation was absolutely beautiful but lacking in real flavor. Basically you're just paying for the name. This is not a cafe I would return to indulge in pastries and mediocre coffee. Id return for photos and aesthetics yes. Next time, I will just go to the actual department store and spend money there. read more

Strike oil or mortgage the house, then head to Harrods for some extreme decadence. Before you even make it inside, sensory overload abounds at the shops nearby, but prepare yourself for the journey inward. We were there yesterday to escape the rain, and surprisingly found a clearance-sale stuffed baby toy for a mere £16-a bargain. But unlike those places, you can get right in without a reservation, unless you're dining or visiting "The Penthouse" (mysterious and exclusive?). Part art gallery, part museum, all shiny objects, you'll not lack for wonderment even as you glide by escalator amongst the many floors. It's a "veritable smorgasbord" for the senses, organized and back-lighted to highlight what you definitely must buy now. Your children will need a little over-stimulation detox after a few floors. I'd recommend not leaving out the Hans Crescent side entrance, since the tikes will immediately want sweets from L'Eto. Passing by the 75% Ferrari replica for £175,000, my gaze fell on a £1200 sound device that doubled as a sculpture. It also sounded amazing. Ordered: Pistachio Cake (~£18): pistachio croccantino with Bronte pistachio cream, sponge cake and vanilla Bavarian cream Cappuccino (~£7) Aya's take: This review is for the Prada Caffé at Harrod's but before I get into that, let me say that Harrods is iconic! Not to be dramatic but I can literally spend the rest of my life here. You can find quite literally anything and everything. I was absolutely blown away. The Prada Caffé is tucked away so it might be hard to just "stumble" upon it. The staff were super friendly and directed me there. Surprisingly, there was no wait time at all (unlike the LV Cafe in NYC or the Dior Cafe in Miami)! I started off with the Cappuccino which tasted like your typical cappuccino. The Prada print on top was of course a nice tough. I also loved the baby blue dishes they used. I was a bit hesitant with the Pistachio Cake; even though it sounded delicious, I couldn't understand why it would cost ~£18. I was mistaken! Yes, it's a bit overpriced but the pistachio and Bavarian creams was super delicious and the sponge cake was soft and moist. Highly recommend stopping by Harrods if not for the Prada Caffé or the Food Hall, at least check out this incredible place! read more

We came here to visit the TIffany's Cafe and possibly the Prada Cafe, that's it, that's all. We took some pictures inside and outside of the cafe. Aside from the cafes to obtain content, I was not impressed by Harrods. It seemed compartmentalized and overrated. Though definitely high end and luxury-driven, it had a weird set up to me. It reminded me of a mall with different luxury stores within the mall. I guess we overstayed our welcome following afternoon tea because we were going to take a quick picture outside of the TIffany's store, but we were run up out of Harrods by security or whatever they are called over there stating that pictures were not allowed. I guess that is why we captured a crowd while taking photos outside of the cafe. We were tourists and that is what tourists do. I did not see any signs posted prohibiting photos. Based on these Yelp reviews, it appears that people took pictures while there. We went there to have afternoon tea, so mission accomplished. I say "whatever" to his objection to the other photos. read more

I was excited to come to Harrod's! I heard a lot about it along the way. We spent almost 3 hours walking around and admiring the different departments. The toy store was fascinating. An employee did a magic trick with me. I was impressed. They have some "reasonably" priced things for kids. They also have some extremely extravagant toys most kids can only dream of! We ate a light lunch downstairs. The food was good. I had a Greek salad that was fresh and my Mom had a chicken sandwich. They have a wide selection from fish and chips to lobster rolls to salads and all sorts of desserts. This area is bustling all times of the day. I looked around the clothing department. I did not try on anything. They have nice displays and everything. There are so many shoes, houseware things, the list goes on. I really enjoyed exploring their exclusive fragrance department on the sixth floor. Just magnificent! I highly recommend stopping by here. They have 4,000 employees for just one store. It is an amazing place to admire. read more
Harrods is the essential London shopping experience that everyone has to experience while there. The building is magnificent and even if you can't afford anything at the store it's amazing just to go and look around. You can easily get lost in this place. As they have everything from food, clothing, kitchenware, furniture, and even chocolate. This place blows Macy's and any other department store in the US out of the water. A must visit for any visitor heading to London. read more
