If you know London, you must know about this place. Of course the main store in the city is massive with floors of amazing shopping. A store that is known worldwide. Floors of amazing shopping with food halls, home wear, apparel and all the designer stores you can think of. Well that's the most common one. Then you have all the smaller pop ups scattered through out the city. The location at terminal 5 London Heathrow has nothing compared to the original....lol... it's your usual pop up that tends to cater to the last minute shoppers needing a gift. This store carries your usual tourist gifts that is fast and simple. Chocolate, teddy bears, of course the tote bag and lots of trinkets. Things that catches holiday maker eyes. I wasn't able to get to the real Harrods while in London, but was thrilled when I saw a Harrods location at the Heathrow International Airport, making my last day in London all the more memorable. Even just getting a taste of Harrods, I can see why people love this posh department store. I checked out Harrods before catching my flight and was happy to see all the merchandise they had, especially since it's just an airport location, so the inventory is limited. But it was nice to see the designers they offered here, and since I love Tory Burch, they had an entire section just for Tory Burch. The staff were super friendly and even told me what products would be cheaper to get back home versus in London, so it wasn't all about them making money. I ended up getting a Tory Burch card wallet and they escorted me to the other section of Harrods where they offered more of their gift items. This was perfect as I was able to get some gifts for loved ones. Glad I was able to get a glimpse of Harrods, a London specialty. read more

Harrods was a nice place to wander around while Gayle and I were waiting for our next flight. We were here twice on both ends of our SFO-JHB transfer (pre-Omicron) and we enjoyed the both the fantasy of this high end department store, and even picking a few things out in the "gift shop" area. And taking one of the Harrods bags (to hold our purchases) was almost worth the trip in itself. Notes: 1. The Harrod's employees were friendly, helpful and professional, albeit watching us a little more closely than I'm normally accustomed. 2. The UK government recently did away with most their VAT tax breaks while shopping in this "duty free" zone. I think tobacco and liquor still have that advantage, but keep in mind that you're otherwise paying full GBP prices when shopping Harrods and other places within the shopping arcade. read more

I love a distraction while waiting for flight layovers and I was charmed by the selection of British gifts and treasures at this Heathrow-based shop. This famous store carried a limited selection of trendy fashions, jewelry and bags for both men and women. Name brands included Stella McCartney and other Brit designers. The styles were lovely and tempting. While demanding top dollar (I mean pound), there were clearance racks offering 25 percent reductions. My favorite section of the shop was the gift and souvenir area. Shelves of tea, British themed china, royal-themed items, Paddington bears, double decker toy buses and much more greeted customers throughout the store. Special offers on gifts enticed purchasing. Clerks were friendly but not overly pushy. This is a must stop on your visit to London! read more

This is a really nice mini Harrods inside the London airport. I am happy to find all the Harrods brand teas, chocolates, and trinkets here. Surprisingly, I find their prices quite reasonable, and everything is tax free. I used to believe London is one of the most expensive city, but I believe the US is more expensive now, especially when comparing with the west coast big cities. This is a good place to kill time and do some final minute shopping if you have some time in London Heathrow. Name brand handbags, at least the European brands are actually cheaper here just FYI. read more

Clean, bright and well organized, this Harrods inside the airport is pretty nice. It is larger than the Chanel store and it carries a wider variety of items. I walked around the store and if you forgot a gift to give to someone, this is a place you should stop by in. They sell toys, bears, pens, bags and tea. For myself I decided to buy two different types of tea one black and one green. I have tried their green tea and it's actually pretty tasty to me. I also bought a nice pen here but I already lost it!!!!! But I did enjoy shopping here and I can see that this place has many options for family and friends! They have 3 Harrod's stores in Terminal 5. Two of which are for clothes, purses and other fashion items: Ferragamo, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, etc; the other is for chocolates and fine food. They have foie gras in a can or in a bottle. Plain or with truffles. Charbonnel et Walker and other British chocolates. Do I need to go any further? Isn't that all you need? I can easily spend all my money here. If I spent a minute longer at Harrod's, I probably would have. read more

Of course you cannot come to London and not take a step into the famous Harrods. Although the Harrods at London Heathrow is no where near as grand as the Harrods in the main city, Harrods in Heathrow does the trick for a last minute shopping spree. My review is on the Harrods brand accessory line. Harrods have practically anything and everything with their name on it including speciality goods such as teas or bon bons. I wanted something for myself that was an original Harrods, and the famous green shopping bags seemed to be the best thing to take home. They have several Harrods shopping bag designs with views of art of London. The customer service here is also nice as well. I purchased a bag that I decided I no longer wanted and returned it during my next stop in Heathrow. Even if it was past the return date, they happily allowed me to exchange the item! The food court in Harrods (the shop in London) I was disappointed when I went here. The actual shop was quite nice and the food set up was very nice. However, once you purchased your food there was no-where to sit!! Not because it was full or busy as one might have thought, there was legitimately no chairs or tables. No worrys though, as the not concerned cashier told us we could sit outside (not outside the food court, if we wanted, we could sit outside the mall on a bench with the hundreds of tourists) the food it's self was terrible. It was bland and the bread we purchased was hard and flavorless. read more

Now whilst I did not buy anything and just perused it still had that opulent feel that you expect from a Harrods establishment. The range of goods available is good considering it is an airport. As with the main Harrods the staff are always on hand to answer any questions you may have, even though they could/would not take anymore off the price of and already discounted pair of sunglasses (even though the lens was definitely scratched!!). One but can try eh!! It seems that it is almost out of the way so you will have to walk a bit to find the Harrods but there is a lot of stuff to peruse if you have time to burn and not money!!!! read more

If I'd only ever visited Harrods in an airport I'd think its fine as an airport shop, a range of branded products and designer labels, average shop assistants who are neither unpleasant nor particularly helpful. The difficulty is having visited the main store in Knightsbridge the airport stores are nothing like it. There isn't the sense of glamour, in the main store if you ask where something is staff don't just point you in the direction they take you there, in the airport they just point like in any other store. In Knightsbridge a significant proportion of the shop assistants are glamazons especially in the cosmetics department, the men shop assistants are stylish too. In the airport feels like recruiting from the same talent pool as say Boots or WH Smith, so am giving it three stars as an average experience at best though some days definitely a two star experience. read more
