I am very disappointed with this company. A few years ago, they did insulation work at my home…read more Their poor installation caused my door to stick and scratch the floor, and their workers also scratched my hardwood floors. I reported it right away -- their staff (Sarah) confirmed it was their fault and even noted it in the account. They sent someone (Jesus), but he only did a poor stain touch-up and admitted the damage was caused by their work. At that time, I was assured the company would take responsibility with either a proper repair or compensation. But the contractor they referred me to never returned my calls. Now, years later, when I followed up, they suddenly claim they are no longer responsible -- despite having admitted fault and documented it. This shows they do not stand behind their workmanship or their word. I even referred my boyfriend to them, believing they were responsible, but I was wrong. Customers should be very cautious -- this is not a reliable company. I only attach one area pictures, some other damaged is not show good on pictures.

I talked to absolutely every one about a solar panel installation. I easily spent months on…read moreresearching the topic, vendors, and installation techniques. Ultimately I settled on on a mechanically mounted system for my flat roof, which was wonderful. Some vendors would not touch a flat roof. Some only installed ballasted systems. Some vendors assumed that they could use a lift to get onto my roof when they actually needed a crane. Some just wanted to overcharge me with the hot new technology, sweeping the nation. After reviewing multiple bids, I settled on Sunbug to install my system. Chris Miller was a no nonsense saleman throughout my whole research phase. He answered all of my questions, and disabused me of any misinformation I may have had. He was polite, but firm, which is exactly what a layman consumer needs when making a large, delayed gratification purchase like a solar system. Once I signed on the dotted line, their team actually moved fairly quickly through the rest of the process. We were able to install my system before the end of the tax year, so some of that delayed gratification is delayed just a little less. I would give a five star review, but there were a few hiccups. Once I signed the dotted line, the team was less responsive than I needed with my subsequent questions. They installed the inverter in my basement without my input, which is a problem when I plan to finish my basement. We quickly fixed that by simply moving it, but we could have avoided that problem altogether by filling me in on the plan first. I chalk that up to some disorganization, and rushing to complete systems before the end of the tax year. Another silly issue is that their electrician upgraded me to a 200A panel, which is wonderful. For some reason though he reinstalled the same 100A main breaker I originally had, which makes no sense. Now I have to pay some one else to upgrade my main breaker. A month later I am actually still waiting for an inspector to check off on their work so that I can turn the system on, but that may be more an issue with the inspector than with Sunbug. In any event, I am mostly pleased with my purchase, and look forward to bathing my roof in sun shine in the coming years.

We were looking for a PV system with a storage solution that wouldn't take up too much space…read more Bluesel proposed a system that was much more compact than what other vendors suggested, and so we went with them even though they were more expensive. Signed the contract in August 2018, work started December 17, 2018 and stopped after 1 day. The crew came back January 15 and completed the install of the panels. Installation of the battery took a roughly a month, and the work schedule was sporadic and unpredictable. The battery and connected systems took up a lot more space than we had been led to believe. I am not an electrician, so I can't really judge the quality of the work performed, but I am fairly sure that the junction boxes in our attic should have been closed, rather than expose blank wires. So I have some doubts about the rest of the work. During the initial setup of the battery, the people from Bluesel triggered the emergency shutdown 5 times because they had never installed a battery before. When they couldn't explain the system to the inspector, he shut down everything, and we had to go before the state board. Since the people from Bluesel were insufficiently prepared for each meeting, it took three monthly meetings until the system was finally cleared. We finally started to generate electricity mid of July 2019. The battery has been an utter waste of money - on average, for every 10 kWh I put in, I can discharge 4 kWh, so an efficiency of about 40%. Under optimal conditions my round trip efficiency is 60%. This is far below the 85%+ promised in the sales literature. Our power company offers net metering, and I am wondering why I wasted our money on a battery. I have called and emailed Bluesel multiple times about this, but there has been no response.

Rob Greer and the entire BlueSel team were prompt, professional and knowledge. Their pricing was competitive so I chose BlueSel to install a 20 panel solar array.
