We called Plumr after a particularly cold night where two pipes had burst in our house and we had no hot water as a result. Too busy, Plumr first came out to look at the situation, and then sent a third party independent plumber to do the repair. They were told from the start that we'd put in a very temporary, likely incorrect, fix to the burst pipe problem, and that this was the first place to look at when trying to resolve our "no hot water" issue. Instead of even looking there, they spent three trips to the house looking at the boiler, making 3 different unnecessary fixes that didn't solve our problem. On the fourth trip they finally took a look at the temporary fix, realized the problem, and fixed it in 15 minutes. They charged us $2,500 for all of the unnecessary work, and refused to consider even a compromise on the cost. Unfortunately, Plumr is very similar to many others in service industries today. Overpriced and unaccountable. Do not recommend. Edit Reply: Sorry Nick, that's not true at all. You were the first on property, and when we discussed the issue with you, you said, "Yeah, sorry, those are the breaks," essentially. Sadly, my experience was not good. I made an appointment online and spoke with the owner. All seemed good. I stayed home all day with my son for their 3/4 hour window, but they never showed. Didn't call me back either until many hours later in the evening. To their credit, the owner apologized and agreed to come back at a day/time of my choosing. But if you leave a customer waiting for all day, and don't even call until many hours later, you certainly don't deserve my business. read more

These guys were super! Replaced outside facet I hit with a car in our driveway (must have been about 50 years old). They put a freeze proof handle with new adapter piece and copper pipes on inside! And a new shutoff handle that is so easy to use!! They also replaced under a kitchen sink the copper that was very old and leaking enough to attract the critters. We got new hot and cold shut offs which work perfectly!! They also installed a bidet on a toilet replacing old single piece of metal connector with new flex hose!! Would hire them again! read more

I give this company one star for promptness in returning calls. Expensive, bad work and no accountability My toilet leaked. They said they could fix it. Came over promptly but I wasn't home so did t see myself, They told me it was all set. when I got home there was no leak. But the next morning the ticket did hit flush. I called them and they insisted it was a coincident and told me to use a plunger. They had no interest in coming back to fix the new issue. The attitude was not my fault , now your problem. Of course the plunger didn't work (did anyone think it would). I had to call another plumber who laughed at the thought of a plunger solving the problem. Nick at Plumr is easily the best plumber I've worked with. When I needed a shower faucet cartridge replaced, I contacted 10 different plumbers to get quotes.The job is fairly simple but I wanted a professional because the job was in an apartment building without a unit shut off. Nick not only responded the quickest but he wanted to make sure that I got the best service for my money. When we discussed the job, he informed me that my faucet had a lifetime warranty and suggested that I get parts through the manufacturer for free rather than having him supply them. This saved me almost half the cost of the job. On the day of the job, he was on site early. As he proceeded with the job, he found another issue with the faucet. Completing the the normal way job would have required coordination with the facilities manager which required 48 hrs advanced notice. At this point any other plumber would have charged me a "trip fee" for the visit and left. They would have come back another time when I could coordinate with the facilities manager to complete the job and charged me again. In contrast, Nick took the time to think of a creative solution. He finished the job completely and professionally that same day. Nick saved the day for me and at the best price out of all the plumbers I contacted. I can't imagine another plumber that cares as much about providing great service to his customers. I have been recommending Plumr to all my associates. If I'm ever asked, "do you know a good plumber?" My answer will be...I have a great one! I called Nick, last night and asked if he could quote me for replacing a garbage disposal and a time of when he could come install it. Instead of him providing me with that info, he asked me what was wrong with it. After I explained the problem, he then asked me if I had tools and some time for him to explain what I needed to do. I said yes, and he explain exactly what I needed to do to remedy the problem. I followed his instructions and problem fixed! I had this same problem at my parents house and a different plumber charged my parents $1,000 to replace it, instead of what I was explained to do. Nick did some work in my apartment last year. He himself was great, responsive, nice, but some of his workers were not as good. They installed the rough plumbing in my shower incorrectly - while telling me they "had no idea how to put it in," and me trying to insist that Nick come out and supervise - and I had to engage the tile person to come back, tear out the tile, and redo it. Nick is a nice and honest man, so he paid for the extra work - but the whole thing was pretty stressful, and I wouldn't feel comfortable calling them back unless Nick or some of his top workers were going to be on-site. read more

Nick is a lifesaver. My main sewer drain was stuck and we could not use any water. Nick sent a team the same night. He came the next day to make sure everything is all set and to review the video from the cleaning. The other guys I had before I called Nick tried to convince me the pipe was broken and I need to dig my front yard. That turned out to be completely false. Nick came out that day, found that the leak was actually my washing machine, and didn't charge me for his time. It's not easy to find a good plumber and in the 10 years that I've had my house I've tried quite a few. Finally, I've found my "go to" plumbing service provider. I've had Plumr out to my place on 3 occasions and I've thrown an assortment of jobs at them, ranging from faucet installations to shower diverter/cartridge replacement to fixing outdoor hose faucets to replacing an exit pump system. I've been very happy with their work each time. I'm a detail guy too, so that's really saying something. Nick is responsive in getting back to inquiries and easy to set up appointments with.
