I am sort of like still in shock. Went to Harrison nails earlier today and I can't even explain to you how awful, fundamentally AWFUL this lady is at doing anything. Her painting is awful, cleaning cuticles, awful. The salon itself awful, she didn't know how to shap acrylic, I mean just top to bottom a disaster. It felt like a prank. All I will say is this, I can GUARANTEE if you go here you will be disappointed. It's ONE lady who I believe is the owner who is doing the nails so all of the REAL reviews here are talking about her and all will tell you she is terrible and needs to close up shop immediately. She has the nerve to nickel and dime you for everything but is TERRIBLE at everything. Please save yourself the time, money and disappointment. Do NOT go here. read more

Called in to see if they have availability for me. Owner said yes, when I got there I had to wait an hour while my nails soaked. Never in my life have I waited this long to soak off gels, they clearly did not know how to properly take them off. I was there for 2 hours and I didn't even get my nails painted. 2 hours to get gel nails off my natural nails. Ridiculous never going back read more

A group of us were invited to Harrison Nails by a vendor for our company. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a nail salon. They were completely unprepared. There was a group of 8 or 9 people for manicure pedicure. In the beginning the pedicure was ok. Even though the nail tech massaged both my legs at the same time rushing. Then I was offered a manicure. At first I declined because I had powder gel already. I was assured by the owner, "Oh we do powder gel". So I agreed. First she had me soak for an hour. The cotton was so dry the tech had to file it off with the drill. Then the owner came back to do my nails. She was so rushed and rough, she scraped 6 out of 10 of my nail beds, and never acknowledged or apologized. She never put the base layer on. By the end of the service my nails looked like a10 year old did them. The service for one of my colleagues who was just getting a gel French manicure took over 2 hours. She said the tech kept messing up on the French line so she had to keep starting over. Another of my colleagues was told she could only have a design on 2 nails not the whole set. When she insisted, the owners husband started yelling at her and called her a bitch. When they were finally done at 10 pm, the owner asked if she could take a picture of her nails for her web site. In fairness to her, there were only 3 or 4 people working. However If she wasn't able to accommodate our party, she should have declined. But she didn't and was just focused on the money. This is a horrible salon. I do not recommend anyone to be serviced here. The owner was micro managing the other staff instead of focusing on who she was servicing. The staff did not seem experienced, and the polished seemed old. My pedicure polish doesn't even have a shine to it. Several of my colleagues said the same. Also by the time I drove home, one of my nails was chipped already. By day six, 7 out of 10 fingers were chipped and broken. Currently my nails are so short they don't extend anywhere near the top of my finger. Save your money and your time and go some where, any where else. I do not usually leave reviews however due to the extreme dissatisfaction I had to write a review. I'm adding 1 star because I can't post without grading the business. We took my sister there who is 80 years old and handicapped. The staff were so kind and sweet with her. It was a Very pleasurable experience. One staff member did her toes and the other did her fingernails working together at the same time. It was so great that I cried. I usually do not deviate from my nail salon, but I was in a rush and my son needed a pedicure for our vacation and we were in the area. Not impressed. At first the lady, who I think was the owner seem to not want to do his feet because he is a child and could kick her. I told her that he gets regular pedicures and she said he would do his mani and pedi. I don't know what she did to his feet but they were hurting him when we left. He said it burned. She was nice while doing the manicure but honestly I wasn't too happy with her demeanor in the beginning and that left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

Not very popular yet but...Up and coming!! Give it a try!!! Lisa is the Owner she is nice (quiet a first but once you get to know her she is a riot) and her employees are ALL (Lucy, Karin, Sandra ) are very very sweet. Lucia is my favorite at pedicures!!! Not one to complain but I've been getting my nails done here for quite some time now. But the last few times I've been here I've walked out disappointed. My acrylics aren't even staying on my nails for 5 days after getting them done let alone for 2 weeks. I know it's not my nails because it only happens when Lisa does them. I saw the yelp description of their specialties and was in Harrison for the time so I had wanted to get my eyebrows threaded. The description online was eyebrow threading and waxing so when I entered and spoke to a worker I asked for pricing as I didn't see any menu up and then was told they don't even do threading. stopped by only because I was at the laundromat (which is next to this place) and needed to kill time so I went to wax my lip. The owner waxed my lip and the whole time she kept asking me about my brows. I told her no about 10 times and she still insisted on cleaning them. I was letting my brows grow out because another place messed them up so I was fully aware that my brows were not the same and looked like they needed some tlc. I thought it was insulting of her to continue to pressure me to get them done because to her they looked so bad. Finally, to get her to stop talking, I told her to clean ONLY and I was watching her like a hawk with the mirror she shoved in my face at the beginning when she was showing me how uneven my brows were. She actually did a good job and really only cleaned and made them even while I continue to let them grow out. I think it came out good because I was watching her every move and she knew I was so I don't know if she will be consistent enough for me to keep going back. Then she asked me if I needed a mani/pedi also. I said no cause I had just gotten them done somewhere else. I didn't like how the other place filed my big toe so I told her if she can just file them for me. She passed me on to someone else who ended up filing too much. It literally only needed to be evened out on top. I could've done it myself but I'm 9 months pregnant and it is impossible to bend over. So that's strike 2. Lastly, I go to pay and she charged me $25 for a lip wax, brow clean up and filing my big toe nails. My assumption is that she charged me for a Pedicure because she mentioned to me that a pedicure was $15 and that's when I told her I didn't need a full pedi just to file. I find it hard to believe that a lip wax and a brow clean up would be anymore than $5 each. There wasnt a list with prices and she mumbled the prices to me as if she was unsure herself so thats how I know she ripped me off. Strike 3. I felt really uncomfortable coming here and if I decide to go back then it was because I was really desperate. The lady that did my toes was nice and the owner wasn't bad either she was just pushy. If you have read past this point then you have patience like me and I appreciate you....Here is my advice; I would continue looking for another place. I get my acrylic done in North Arlington and they do a great job ( I left a review for them also) but heads up they are a little pricey. I get my pedi done at Z nails in Harrison and that's because I have been going there since I moved to harrison and became really good friends with the nail tech Maria. hope this helped!!!! read more

This place was hands down the WORST place ever. It was very old and out dated and extremely unorganized. I felt as though the pedicure was very rushed. The employees were complaining about the new owner which was a turn right from the beginning. And the entire time the owner\expert was doing my nails she kept stopping to answer her phone. The owner was the only one working which required me to wait even with an appointment..I got acrylics and not only are they crooked but filed all wrong and were left rigged which showed right through the polish. She charged me $35 for this crap job for which I think I was ripped off anyway because she has no prices listed anywhere and charged me $30 a few months back. They are nice enough and try to accomodate, however, their acrylic skills are seriously lacking. Even the expert lady, I think she's the owner, gave me bumps and ridges throughout the finish. I went with two friends, we all got mani-pedi's, we all came out with at least one nail bleeding, I had two toes bleeding. And it kind of bothered me that the placed smelled musty and they used no disinfectant on anything. I don't think I'll be going back unless just for polish. read more

What's sad about this place is the amount of potential it has! The owner and her husband argue and curse at each other in front of customers. The owner's husband thinks it's okay to lounge in a place of business with his feet up. So unprofessional! I have so many friends/acquaintances that are constantly asking me if I'm able to refer them to a good nail salon and I never feel as though I should refer them here although I've stopped in a few times myself for MANICURES ONLY. the Spanish women in the salon are actually pretty decent manicurist. I have to say this place was very clean and very organized! I got a gel manicure and pedicure done. The price was reasonable and affordable. Horrible, humiliating and disrespectful. The woman with the whitesh blonde hair is not only disrespectful but also does whatever she feels like doing to your nails. My mom asked for polish that matches her toes she gave her a color a few shades darker. When I told her that we weren't satisfied with the color because it didn't match she suggested we then pay to get her feet re colored or pay an additional $20 to have the gel polish on her nails changed. The gel polish she snuck and put on my moms nails for additional money. She was well aware that I was paying and I didn't want her to get Gel. For $10 more being that other nail salons only charge $5 more for gel. Ok fine.... I accepted the fact that the color was darker. My mom came and tried to sit next to me in the salon where I was getting my pedicure and she told my mom she couldn't sit in the pedicure chair she had to sit on the tiny stool where the technicians sit to do the pedicures. My mom is an older , heavier woman. I asked why couldn't she sit there the woman raised her voice at me and got very hostile. Do not go here or spend your money here they are very rude and it's not worth your money. Also the tools the technician used on my feet was not sterilized. read more
