I own 5 properties here in the St. Petersburg area and had Northern Air maintaining 4 of them. After the flood I hired them to do a full upgrade on my personnel home. Garland's refusal to be cooperative and follow my instructions resulted in my firing the company. Since terminating the contract I've uncovered that they had not pulled any permits and I am now in trouble with the City. I'm out over $ 11,000.00! My move back in date is pushed back over 2 months and my property has been vandalized. We are in talks with attorney's and possibly going to court over a clear breech of contract. Don't give any contractor more than 25% up front! Save yourself thousands by by taking 15 minutes to call and verify all licenses, insurance, and permits are valid and up to date! To further add salt to this wound, Garland and Bonnie's son was my street neighbor before the flood. This is drama I just don't need! So learn from my mistakes and RUN!

The unit was making very loud noises right before it broke, so it seems like some freon related issue. I've called them back to fix it, and they are supposed to have a 30 days Labor guarantee, however, they are claiming that they are not going to honor it and want me to pay again to replace the compressor ones again. They are arguing that the compressor is not their fault and is due to voltage issues in my house. They even advised me to call Duke energy and get my refund from them, LOL! I think they messed up and now trying to shift the blame and firmly denying to reimburse me. Also, they have overcharged me by 1 hour. My camera clearly shows that they've spent a bit less than 2.5 hours at my property, but they have charged me 3.5 hours. So, please beware!

Their "behind -the-scenes" admin, "JoJo" was very responsive and replied to my text inquiries in a timely manner, typically within minutes. "Max" was the assigned "technician of the day" and he arrived in a timely manner. Prior to his arrival, Cool Wizard texted me that Max was on his way, and texted me a picture so I knew who he was! Max checked out the system and reported that the system was basically OK, but suggested a couple non-critical items that I might wish to address in the future, and backed up his suggestions with photos. I appreciated that he didn't try to sell me a new unit, or attempt to scare me with a "gloom -and-doom" outlook. The old "Holiday Inn" commercial said "The best surprise is NO surprise", and there were NO surprises because the bill was $95, which was exactly what I'd been quoted in advance. I'm glad that my A/C appears to be OK now, but when I do need a new one, I'm calling "Cool Wizard"
