I run in to grab just a couple of items then spend more time trying to get my money back for items that ring up wrong. I bought a personal size watermelon sign said 4.99 - rang up 5.99 - lettuce price 1.99 rings up 2.29 - (these are regular prices no e-vic) the worst part was standing at the service desk- and she couldn't refund- had to get help. I am so disappointed with the service i received today. I went to self checkout with my mom and two siblings and Amie from self checkout would not let my mom buy prosecco since my younger siblings did not have id on them. She was buying prosecco for our Easter tomorrow. I am also 23 and offered my id but again, was extremely rude to all of us. She also told my mom to "get out of her face." I was staying overnight in the area and decided to go to this nearby Harris Teeter for a salad for dinner. They had lots of to-go options - the salad bar, store-created pre-packaged salads, deli sandwiches, made-on-premises pizza, and more. While I thought I would go to the salad bar, I selected the pre-packaged chef salad. It had all the ingredients I wanted, and at the same per lb. price of the salad bar. I am sure if I had selected the salad bar I would have spent more. I like this Harris Teeter. It's not the newest or nicest, but I don't mind. The layout of this store is convenient for me and they always have everything I need. It seems pretty clean too! This isn't the closest Harris Teeter to where I live but I come here a lot since I've moved to the area. I've seen some people mention that the parking lot is terrible, but it's really not. I'm able to get a close spot to the doors nearly every time and there are several entrance points to make it easy to arrive from any direction. The only negative thing I have to say about this store is that they don't have enough of the smaller carts which isn't a big deal. Like I said, this Harris teeter is nothing special and there probably are better/nicer/cheaper grocery stores near me but I've never had a bad experience here! read more

I love Harris Teeter and this store is another example of why. Wide aisles, great stock, clearly labeled pricing and an excellent selection. I was only picking up some snacks for the hotel room but checked out the excellent produce section, the great butcher counter and the seafood area. All clean and well presented. Beer and wine section is also great. Finally, the self-checkout area was well-attended and while I did not need any help from the young lady staffed there, she was available for immediate help. Okay store. Honestly never really had an issue before today. Seriously annoying deli. They close at 11 but the deli closes at 8, which I didnt know and they have no signs stating it as far as I saw. Instead of acknowledging or saying anything to me (I arrived at 8:02), they just made me stand there while they refused to even make eye contact with me. If you're closed just say you're closed or at least look up or say something so I can ask the question and not waste 8 minutes of my time trying to be patient and understanding. Hopefully other HTs in the area actually know how to talk to people instead of duck behind the counter and refuse to communicate. Probably will change my review in the future if I ever go back or actually meet a deli employee that isn't scared of short people lol. read more

We love this harris teeter it's not our neighborhood harris teeter, well maybe it could be but I always go to the other one on falls. Lol! But I really like this Harris teeter it's not as big as the one on falls but it does the job! I feel like this store is always filled with people. I am assuming because of the location. The store is very organized and there are always workers around to help with you need. They have an amazing flower section and lately their flowers have been 3 for $12 or $4 for 1 so I have been taking advantage of that sale. They have a a great selection of flowers to choose from. Another thing that they have that I like are the lobster rolls. They make them fresh everyday and if you don't get there in time they will be gone. The parking is good here as well. The grocery store is situated inside of a shopping center; so they have parking all over. I always get a space in the front which is really convenient. This place is a total disgrace. The organic section is pretty much non existent and the rest of the fruits and veggies look nasty. If you're not into healthy eating then this is the place for you. If you are looking for foods that will keep you healthy then go somewhere else. (Not like we have many options) Harmony Farms across the street has a small assortment of organic fruits and veggies and many other wonderful products to buy. I would go there instead! I live right around the corner but avoid this location at all costs. The deli is always a terrible experience, closing early, or just annoyed to help anyone at all. Today was the same, I was the only customer waiting to have a sandwich made, I was not in a rush and was still looking over the menu. Michelle shouted across the deli, asking if I needed help. Annoyed with my answer, eye roll and slowly walking over, i just told her I didn't want to interrupt her work and to disregard, i would find someone else who could help. In the end she did make it, unhappily, but Im not understanding why its frustrating to help customers who are buying goods. OMG! You've got to try Harris Teeter's Express Lane shopping service! I was doubtful at first; however, they read your notes about how picky I am about my fruits, veggies & meats. Then do a great job about picking exactly what I'd pick! If you don't like it, they give you a full refund! No questions asked. This location also has a Starbucks inside, so when I do shop I can treat myself! Only downside is they're extremely busy on the weekends and usually out of severe things I want. That's the only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars. Best day to shop or order groceries is Wednesday. That's when they've had time to restock their shelves. read more

Cell phone reception beyond 10 feet in the door is non-existent. I was going here only for the pharmacy, but CVS is closer, open 24 hours (even the pharmacy) and has better labeling on prescriptions. There are other Harris Teeters that are better like the on on Edwards Mill at Duraleigh. read more

Very expensive store. All products are at least $1 or more over the normal retail price, and magically, it's almost at retail if you have their special card. There's a Food Lion across the street that's cheaper even without a store card. Similar to a Publix store in quality and selection, so it's not all bad. Same stuff different clientele. read more

I placed a cookie cake order with a specific design for my wife's birthday. I went into the store a few days later to pick it up and I came to find that the bakery got the pickup date mixed up. I thought I would be leaving the store with a generic Happy Birthday cookie cake, but the baker I spoke with found my order and said she could make it now if that would work for me. I did some grocery shopping and 5-10 minutes later, I came back and it was done, just how I had originally asked! Even though there was a mixup in the pickup date, I'm giving the HT Milbrook bakery 5 stars for they're wonderful flexibility to drop everything and make a customer happy! Thank you! U have to give THANKS to LESLIE who was working this afternoon at Harris Teeter this Sunday/today and heard my frantic call of panicking outside by my vehicle. My granddaughter's hand was slammed in the car door and I was frantic when I opened the door, pulled her hand out and saw the indentation and broken skin on her fingers. I also had my grandson who is 4 and , she is 3, and I just was so beside myself with what to do. Leslie showed up, like an Angel, and calmly assisted my granddaughter. Her assistant and the way she handled our situation with compassion, care and professionalism moves me to write this review. I want management to know that there choice in having people like Leslie there shows the standard they have for excellence. Beautiful store and attentive staff. Since they opened a week ago, I've been there 3 times now. Their daily, hot food, specials are awesome! I noticed some people have been brought over from other stores I shop frequently, which was nice to see. If I have any complaint about Harris Teeter, it's their bogo strategy. I really hate it when a grocery store advertises a bogo item them doubles the price. It's not just misleading but very dishonest. Just stop doing it all together. Nice and shiny new store. I love the Starbucks and the big pharmacy area. Negatives: I ordered for the online shopping and even called to confirm. It was supposed to be ready at 2:30. I get there at 2:45 and they are "working on it", they said they would take off my personal shopper fee...but it's now 3:10 and I'm still waiting on it with toddler twins in the back seat. I really love this Harris Teeter. Conveniently located near my job, its quickly become my go to spot for lunch. Fresh produce is a at great price, they offer pre cut fruit and veggies.There is also an Asian, salad, and a hot bar. They also have pizza and sandwich stations. Plus there is a Starbucks located right inside. The only downside is there isn't any outdoor seating, but they do have a place for you to sit inside. All these cool bonuses included in their typical grocery store offerings. read more

Camiya KNOWS HOW to pack groceries correctly and with care!! She did NOT sling my groceries after scanning them. She put all of the frozen items in one bag. She put all of the refrigerated items in one bag. She put the raw meat in a separate plastic bag. She put my eggs and bread together in one bag and DID NOT smush my bread!!! (She put the bread on top.) She needs to train other employees how to bag groceries correctly and with care!! Ok, so this store looks really nice .. however, looks doesn't get you very far when customer service is so terrible. First I waited forever in deli, I mean Harris Teeter is usually backed up but I was first in line, so I thought it was my lucky day.. not at all. I swear it took 1/2 hour to slice 2 pounds of deli meat. This is where I just can't go back. I went to the fish counter and saw haddock for $6.99, I was like awesome (it looks a little dried out as it sat out but I thought hey for $6.99 I'll cook it tonight and if I have to cut off a little, no big deal. Then I noticed on the glass it was written, $9.99 haddock... so I ask the butcher.. he's like oh its $9.99 after looking it up. I was like but the sign says $6.99.. he then was like ehhh someone did it wrong. All that's ok, but then he left it there. We went back 10 minutes later to see if he just waited till I was served and then fixed it.. NOPE. This has happened in the past and I've always assumed its because no one said anything.. but this is not a "mistake".. this is fraud. This is clearly knowing you mispriced/mislabeled stuff and hope the customer doesn't pay attention and buys it anyway. A couple weeks ago I tried to buy a water bottle that was listed on sale for $6.99. When I went to check out it rang up as $11.99 Pitcher. I pointed out that clearly this wasn't a pitcher and it was mislabeled, and all I got was so do you want it at $11.99 or not? No I dont' want to pay twice the asking price. On top of all this, I'm sick of Harris Teeters pricing strategy, the you never know if they rang it up incorrectly because your "special buys" don't ring up until the very end. I always felt it kind of fishy and that they were trying to make it very difficult to figure out if you were getting the sale, especially when in the store there is no way to tell their e-vic exclusive specials, but with all the mispricing I then observed in this store, its the last straw. btw, I was going to talk to the service desk at the time, but there was no one at the counter the entire time I waited to check out so wasn't going to wait around even longer. read more

Loyal Teeter customer since 2001. The service at this location is not good. Maybe it's because the store opened around the Kroger acquisition and now they have a monopoly in many locations. Never once have my weekly boars head cold cuts been sliced correctly. Lines for deli can be extreme with many associates in deli working on other tasks. Never once had a bagger assist me. And today, couldn't find any chop meat with a sell by date later than tomorrow. So much for meal planning for the week. Maybe it's time to go back to North Hills or Stonehenge, or take a ride to Publix. read more

The store itself is great. Fresh produce, always stocked, excellent seafood. Unfortunately, the check out process in this store is a DISASTER. Every single time. It takes forever to get out of here. The lines are always backed up due to not enough lanes open and then the cashiers that are open are painfully slow. If I could give them a negative I would. We ordered express lane pick up on a Tuesday, we were told we couldn't pick up til Wednesday, when we go to pick up, they up charge us $50 because the specials changed. Now, I understand that the deals change on Wednesday etc etc, but we PAID for the groceries already. So HT can charge me for their products, but not honor what I ALREADY PAID FOR?!?!? But that issue aside, when we changed our order to accommodate for the new specials, the food they gave us was either ROTTEN or EXPIRED. I will NEVER shop at a HT again because of how they treated my family here. Oh and another thing, they charged us TWICE for our order!!! This is the POOREST run franchise I have ever seen!!! HT has a good selection and generally reasonable prices for the quality. Where we live near Louisburg / Mitchell Mill the nearest HT is in Wake Forest. So after we moved here a couple years ago we started using the HT personal shopper service. We've tried a few HTs at various locations based on my and my wife's commute, and been just unimpressed enough to keep trying different locations. The problem is every order we make - every time, every store - something gets left out of our order. When the shopper runs across something they can't find (i.e. not in stock) they will typically call to find out if we want to substitute the item. Items not that are subbed or not available at all are written on a form they give with the receipt at pick up. Makes sense. Should eliminate missing items. However they ALWAYS leave out something, and we don't always realize it at first. For instance, we put all the ingredients we need for whatever we're going to cook for dinner on Wednesday. So, Wednesday comes and we start cooking and realize we didn't get the sour cream, or the pasta, or something. It's always something. Every week. That is the cause of us trying multiple HTs in the hope we can find one where that doesn't occur. Our experience is that there isn't one. However, this HT takes that frustration a step further by actually charging us for something but we still don't have it. We get all the bags - they label them 1/3, 2/3, etc with your name. We simply don't have the stuff we ordered. And we may not notice for a few days until we need what we ordered, and then what are we to do? ... call and say we ordered some stuff a few days ago but didn't get it. Very, very frustrating. Looks like we'll be trying other shopper services in hopes others are executing better, because we like the idea but HT is not getting it done at all. read more
