After speaking with the manager, he proceeded to brag about how much money he makes which was wild because I dont understand how the topic was relevant. I decided to leave, and as he was doing so, on our way out the bouncers were trying to provoke him to fight them. I was in the bar for maybe three minutes, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a bar. Hoping to find a better Eagles bar soon, because I need one down here. I truly don't understand how people support this business and an air head who walks around flaunting his wealth.

The cozy couches, glowing moon and other decor, as well as all the dark paint make it very intimate and great to take a date here. They have a huge selection of bourbons and the prices are okay...there should be a bit of a discount for double pours but there is not. So I'm less likely to try bourbons here versus some of my other favorite lounges which do double pours for way less. Drinks are not overpriced either. I usually get an old-fashioned or something along those lines. They have a banana bread one that is a bit weird, not my favorite. They used to have a manager there who made baconated bourbon, he rendered bacon fat into it somehow, and they had this bacon whiskey cocktail and it was amazing. It was the best thing on the menu and almost always sold out. I was told that manager left along with the secret of the bacon whiskey so we're likely to not see it again. Bartenders could use some customer service training. They don't greet you. They don't acknowledge that they see you waiting. They pretty much ignore you until they have time for you which is behavior I don't really like. They seem to have more of an attitude of "I'll get to you when I can on my terms and then you'll tip me $2/drink because I'm an awesome cocktail lounge bartender and entitled to tips." Just looking at someone and saying, "I'll be with you in a moment" goes a really long way. I gave this establishment 4 stars but please understand I'm rating in regards to Fuquay...anywhere else this would be about 3 stars.

The fire-engine-red brick walls bring the drama, while the exposed beams and dangling wires proudly announce, "Yes, we have electricity. No, we're not showing off." Vintage rugs sprawl across the concrete floor like they've been there long enough to know all the regulars. The leather couches and rolling chairs give it a wonderfully mismatched charm--like a Victorian parlor got into an argument with a dive bar and neither one won. Dark, cozy, slightly mysterious, and just shabby enough to be cool. This is the kind of place where you walk in for "one drink" and somehow end up three hours later debating philosophy with a stranger named Dave. Cheers!

Well, surprise surprise, this one is in an Industrial Park ... conveniently located near a police lot. Good news, it is at the end. Decently sized inside with a nice sitting area outside. I liked this option because it was close to the hotel and offered up more German inspired beer options. They had a band playing and a food truck in the back. They offer flights but I guess they cut off flights at certain times on the weekend. Bartender didn't seem happy I asked for one but I was happy to get a flight. Bock to the future, Blood Orange, Mango Hefeweizen, El Hefeweizen, Wolken were the ones I ordered. Pretty sure I had a darker stout but can't recall name. The Wolken tasted like a German Budlight. Loved it! The El Hefeweizen was the best American hefe I've had and was easy to drink/easy on the palate and a light version of a normal Hefe. The B2F was meh (I don't recommend). The Blood Orange was heavy on the orange peel. Overall, two solid beers here that are store quality! I actually was looking for their brand at a local Raleigh store and didn't see anything. Odd. This is an absolute must stop for German beer lovers!
