The fact it is the last gas stop prior to travel WB on HRBT should garner at least a star. The fact…read morethat your not gouged is pretty awesome too! I don't come here often because I am usually good on gas, but if I am hard up like I was the other day I'm all in. The last thing that anyone should do is push on a low tank of gas and then have an issue in the tunnel, it happens often. I day hours I have felt safe, no comment at night since I have no experience. However, I would not personally stop here after dark if I could avoid, just me. For a gas stop it works, but nothing special. Parking at the pumps is tight, if busy I would move on unless desperate. The pumps are usually pretty dirty. The lot usually has debris, but on my last visit the trash was at least kept within it's boundaries. I've been inside only once and it's old, but maintained. No issues with service at checkout. Not great, not bad.

There isn't much of a shortage of gas stations in Norfolk, just move along to the next one. The…read moreparking lot and fill-up design of this place is ridiculous. It's cramped, and there's no room for people to simultaneously leave the station and be parked filling up.... Not as if that deters anybody from backing up without looking and peeling out. It's dangerous, and I'm surprised nobody has been hit yet to the best of my knowledge. The attendants inside have moved on to be taking the orders of three people at once nearly every time I've been here. Maybe it's just me, but even if I'm only handing the attendant a bill and saying "ten on pump three, please" I would still consider it extremely rude to do so while another customer is being rang up. It's worth it to just move along to the next nearest gas station.

I haven't been to this particular Wawa in years, especially since the shooting that took place here. There is a sign courtesy of the Norfolk police department posted that actually reminds you to lock your car up. I gave this store a second chance and what a mistake it was! I need to pee and the bathroom is just disgusting. Pretty sure there's a homeless woman in there getting high. I'm grabbing for toilet seat covers and engaging my quads in a deep squat to avoid actually sitting on the toilet. Great mini workout! I'm done quickly and now I'm thirsty. Since I use the app, I get lots of little rewards. I'm shopping around town and I noticed I had a free soda on the app. So I go into the store and there's not one single cup in sight. I go to the register and smile at the cashier. I greet her and ask where the cups are. This miserable person glared at me and grumbled that she had to ring me up, etc. She literally grabbed my phone right out of my hand to scan the app because it was apparently too much work for her to get out of her chair and extend her arm to scan my phone. How rude! So much for minimal contact! I finally get my soda three pours later because the worn down soda machine apparently needs servicing or the carbonation needs to be replaced. This store is dirty and nasty. Never again!

I like the fact that they…read morehave a covered carport for the gas area and the area that leads into the store entrance. The 7-Eleven inside isn't as large as a typical 7-Eleven. It isn't as large because it recently became a 7-Eleven within the past few years. However, you can still find all the things you need. There is a plus about this gas station and its location. It is the fact that they have a car wash. Please note that this is not a touchless car wash. They do have the thick plastic brushes. Overall just an average 7-Eleven nothing spectacular I will go as time and location allows it.

It's refreshing to see an employee, like Ivy, that genuinely cares about their job, especially in the food service/convenience store industry. No matter the task - clarifying an advertised special, inquiring about app payment, ringing up our purchases, etc - she politely offered the answer with a smile. We took advantage of the "$1 any size hot beverage" special using my 7-11 app. One star deduction for advertising a Pumpkin Spice Latte (also for $1) BUT not actually having it to dispense. Son opted for Cafe Mocha/French Vanilla mix, on a 90 degree day mind you, while daughter chose a slurpee. Entire Slurpee/fountain drink/hot drink/iced coffee area was clean and well stocked with cups, lids, straws, napkins, creamers, sugars, stirrers, and cup sleeves.
