This isn't my regular Harris Teeter. I stopped in while I was in the area. I didn't really need anything, but I wanted to see how this location compared to the locations I frequent the most. I did buy the monkfruit sweetener. I was impressed by the markdown section; it was the biggest section I'd seen in a Harris Teeter. Employees always on their phones, completely unfamiliar with what the store does and does not carry, very disinterested in helping customers. Produce is past its prime most of the time. Popular items, particularly if on sale, are sold out almost immediately and NOT replenished until sale expires. Many sale items have packaging defect. Prices much higher than Amazon. read more

Went to this location to pick up some things for dinner last night and was appalled. Opened up the ground beef and noticed a brown circle underneath the sticker ... chalked it up to bleeding ink- opened the second package and saw the same brown circle under the sticker -- grabbed a fork and it was the entirety of BOTH ground beef packages. Same situation with the value pack steak cubes, brown and rotten. Disappointed but hopeful, I grabbed the tofu cubes I picked up and to no surprise - rotten and expired. I got refrigerated chicken treats for my dog, smelled questionable and they were very gray in color. -- I noticed the value pack meat and the tofu cubes AFTER returning home from HT (getting a return for the ground beef initially) -- I just want to add that the customer service at this location was horrible. The girl who "helped" me was rude and no help at all. She obviously didn't want to be bothered at her JOB and that's 100% not my problem. I was waiting in line and her greeting was "Are you next or what?" ... okay. Told her I needed a refund for the ground beef and she didn't ask me any questions, gave me an attitude about my receipt and then cut me off while I was explaining "You want it back on your card, cash or what?" 0/10. read more

This is one of the larger Harris Teeters you'll find in the area and it shows from the larger selection of grocery items, bakery, meats and more. I don't often visit this location because it's out of my way but the times I have been, the visits have been what I've come to expect. The customer service is is very good, the associates always ask if I need help and will often point me in the right direction. Both the bakery and meat department do a great job as well. If I have a specific request, they'll take care of it no problem. When it comes to checking out, the line move along very smoothly and the self checkout is an easy experience. read more

Although not my favorite HT, this Stonecrest store is my go-to location due to its proximity to our home. I think it's got the best meat department around, however the produce department leaves a lot to be desired, as has become the case with all of the Harris Teeter stores. I find myself regularly having to return spinach and strawberries that have gone bad after only a couple of days. Starting to consider other alternatives. Otherwise, I do like their like their other departments especially the Bakery and Deli. The Pharmacy is also reliable. read more

I have never written a bad review but the HT Stonecrest has greatly deteriorated. Today, I purchased 2 boxes of empanadas that said chicken tinga. both were beef when cooked. My family was hungry so they ate it. I would not complain except that I have had to return 3 purchases for being spoiled/ inedible the past year, HT has the proof attached to my HT number. read more

MAJOR staffing issues with long lines with ONE register open and employees goofing off and not being held accountable. Customer service counter employees were busy looking at their phones and didn't bother to look up and see the lines or if they did, didn't care. Shout out to employee named Caleb who at least tried to intervene and get them to put down their phones and help. Only bright spot. Even though this is 1/2 mile from house, will go to Ballantyne location where the customer service is much better. Happens way too often. Update 9/23/19: No change, horrible long lines, only 2 lanes open on a Monday evening at 6:30! Cashier said not enough people on the schedule. Manager comes walking out of the back room with what should have been 3 ring circus music playing and looks like "golly gee, we've got lines!" Told him this was ridiculous and instead of apologizing for the crappy service, he chose to ignore. I'm definitely going to drive further to another location or skip HT all together. With Fresh Market and Whole Foods, there are better choices. read more

Came here today to get some flowers for my wife, and I must say I was happy to come here. The flowers are fresh and looks like they have been taken care of. Tania who works here so extremely helpful, kind, and even gave me suggestions to wow my wife. To the management team please give kudos or recognition to Tania for her hard work, she deserves it. I really miss Harris Teeter, I really do. Ever since I've moved to New York, there is not a single grocery market that beats Harris Teeter. Great produce, great fresh goods and even a ridiculously huge wine & beer section. Whenever I go home, I always get an apple pie and fruit tart from the bakery section. Sometimes I find Harris Teeter own baked goods tops the artisan bakeries (even the ones in New York). They also support local companies with stalls and signs pinpointing whether it is a local item. For such a big company to keep on supporting the small ones, that is a huge bonus for me. Would I come back again? No need to ask I always return because there is no place like home (or close to home). read more

My favorite HT. Even I have another location closer I chose this one. Clean, bright, always well stocked. Great produce, great fresh food, the fish and meat sections are excellent, the bakery, deli and hot food bar is top notch as well. The pharmacy is much cheaper than cvs or wallgreens. I love that I can save also when I go to a HT fuel. You simply can't beat the customer service. It doesn't appear to be forced but natural and instinctive. It's exceptional on all levels. Each department appears to maintain a balance of work control and customer interaction. I appreciate the proactive offers I receive from department staff to assist me in my search for store items. As a minority It's a great relief to feel appreciated when You walk into an intimidation-free environment, where You can conduct business worry-free, not monitored nor targeted because of the color of your skin or accents. I love our Teeter in Stonecrest! If you can look past the horrific traffic and traffic jams upon entering the entire Stonecrest shopping center, it's as good as any. I love this location is 24 hours as well. Always nice for a late night visit when we have friends in town and don't have enough of (insert superfluous food item). The layout of this location has changed dramatically with all of the updated construction and flooring going in. It looks rather nice and is a huge improvement over the previous. The new frozen and dairy section is very impressive. Individual coolers for each category of frozen foods, cheeses, milk and so on. Much easier to navigate and the lights are super bright. The ice cream section seems even larger than before! Some of the cashiers could be a little more peppy and smile every now and again, but no complaints. The self-checkout is legit. Well, here it is Christmas morning. I pulled the Black Angus Ribs out of the freezer and thawed them under running water for 15 minutes to boil and separate. Cut the package open and yuck! Rotten meat. These two packs where to be our Christmas dinner. They where purchased last week on sale and went straight into the freezer. I am very particular about germs and meat. I paid over $30 for this and besides this throws my plans into turmoil. Our tradition of ribs on Christmas for over 25 years has been wrecked. Harris Teeter's meat handling proven as a total failure to me. Just went in Saturday for potato salad ingredients, the onions and potatoes had a flying bug infestation. read more

Mixed feelings about this Harris Teeter since when they opened it there were 3 other Harris Teeters within 2miles of this location. The location was basically a Hannaford that went under so Harris Teeter moved in. At least the other Harris Teeter on Rea closed down and turned into a Trader Joe's, but for a while it just seemed like a bit much. It's nice that this location is 24hrs and is pretty huge. I only use the U-scan registers but the cashier manning the station was pretty nice. read more

This Teeter has a pretty good selection of beer & wine. Since this is a large store, they have a large selection of all sorts of grocery items. However, there are a few items that this Teeter doesn't stock that I can get at either the Arbo HT or the Providence Commons HT. read more

Best HT in Ballantyne-Stonecrest area. Don't get me wrong, I often go to the Ballantyne one first, as the ingress / egress at StoneCrest area is maddening. But this Teeter has the largest selection of almost anything, a big produce area, LARGE NEW SEAFOOD selection, fresh pizza kiosk, basically everything. . .but with more options. This location is awesome! It's HUGE!!!! Very clean and has an amazing variety of meats and seafood! I love the deli counter because they don't ever rush you selection and let you sample everything! They are very knowledgeable about what meats and cheeses work well together! But all of the associates are very nice and helpful regardless of the department! They also have a great selection of wine and beer! And what's not to love about that?!!? So whether you want to take your time and walk the store looking for something to make or want a quick meal that's ready to eat like pizza, fruit, fresh sandwiches and desserts! It's here! I am writing this for the stone crest location. For the life of me I don't understand why moldy bad produce is allowed to sit on the shelves. It has gotten a lot better then it was about a year ago hear but still not exceptible. Then if you return moldy produce you bought here some of the staff has attitude about it as if I have some how inconvenienced them. I have actually returned bad food bought from this store over at the South Park location and they are nice enough to return the food with a smile and give me double money I paid back to me for my inconvenience. I still come to this store cause it's just so convenient. I live not even 5 min from here..... Love this location. Have been in lots of Harris Teeters and this is one of my favorites. Huge hot bar and salad/olive bar. Huge deli, meat and seafood counters. Did I forget to mention beautiful desserts and fresh baked La Brea breads? Their plain cheesecake is soooo good and their cannoli filling is amazing. Just an all-around great selection of fresh, delicious products. The store is neat, clean and well organized. I've never waited in line more than 2 minutes. I'd like to do "the robot" in the beer aisle, but then they wouldn't let me have any wine samples... read more

Big fan of Harris Teeter! This particular location had my favorite type of pick me up snack bars - KIND bars, which I sometimes have a hard time finding at other grocery stores. I appreciate the superior customer service as well. Standing in line with my two hands loaded with a few too many items I did not intend to purchase originally, the customer service cashier walked from her open register over to me to offer me assistance and cash me out so I could avoid waiting in line. Next time when someone ask the little teen clerks if they can use there Harris Teeter card make sure they know how to enter it .. I literally had one item I came in the store to get because I knew it was on sale and he acted as if he was going to use his but he looked confused and I saw the full priced item pop up so to avoid arguing I paid for it! After watching a movie at the Regal in the same shopping center, I was pleased to discover a Harris Teeter that is open 24/7!!! YES!!! I was so hungry and at 10:30 on a Sunday night, I knew my options would be limited.. So the HT was a very pleasant surprise. I initially only went in for a few items to make dinner.. Salad stuff and entree.. However, after browsing, I became impressed with their baked goods and frozen selections. I ended stocking up as there were quite a few deals as well as a couple brands I am unfamiliar with. For instance, the Agave ice cream brand.. In the speciality section, buy one, get one free! Ok, count me in! Also, there are organic frozen vegetables.. Think brand is called Stahlworth or something like that.. At other locations the price is very high, but here they were either BOGO or reduced price. This will be my first time trying that product.. I got the multi-colored carrots. Cheesecake and mascarpone on sale in the bakery! Yummy, I can't wait to try! The staff personnel were helpful and friendly. There are some deals.. Monday $7.99 for an entire custom made pizza made just for you in store, one night is pork chops or steak.. Idk some kinda meat, and Sunday mornings are omelettes for $4.99! Deals at this location are different than at other ones, which is cool if you like to try new things. The clearance isn't as spectacular as the John J. Delaney Ballantyne store. read more

Now that Harris Teeter is deciding not to comply with the Governors mask order and require customers to wear masks, I will no longer shop there. For the past 6 months I have been coming into this Harris Teeter location at least twice a week. Many times to pick up a quick snack. Let me say that the employees here are always nice and courteous. The reason for me giving this location 2 Stars is because The hot bar (I use the term Hot Loosely) the salad bar and the pre made sandwich area are always exactly the same. It never changes. Also no matter how quickly I try to get in and out of this location there always seems to be someone in the way or a line either at the self check out or the regular line. I also frequent the Starbucks inside of this location. The employees there are always so nice and friendly and the drinks are pretty much always made to perfection. But goodness pray there is not one person in front of you because it will take an additional 5 to 10 minutes to get your drink. This is because there is usually only one employee behind the counter here. With all of this being said I am not beating this location down. I just see lots many opportunities for significant improvement. read more

There appears to be a cheapening of the offerings at this Harris Teeter based upon the influence of the Kroger culture and practices beginning to make themselves felt. This store has shut down its fresh food case, where a patron could have a ready-to-eat meal put together by the person behind the counter, and it has been replaced with packaged chicken wings, chicken nuggets and other such items. In addition, it has ceased stocking one of my preferred Dannon items in the dairy area and, despite a commitment from a floor manager to make an inquiry (with whomever one makes such inquiries) and provide me with follow up information, the only sound emanating from store management is that of crickets. I've learned from someone at a nearby store (the one at John J. Delaney Boulevard) that that location also will be shutting down, or at least greatly reducing, its fresh food offerings, and that this is going to be a company wide change. It looks like a trend toward a deterioration of offerings and quality is well underway. I personally will not wait to witness the end result; I'm switching to the Publix on Johnston Road. read more
