Came here with a large group for a birthday party. We had reserved a space in the funky downstairs bar that we initially had very high hopes for.
Sadly, despite them knowing that we were in a large group of twenty five or so, there was only two bartenders serving the whole bar (so our group, in addition to another thirty or so in the bar). Both were ridiculously busy and rushed off their feet. I don't blame them for being rude - it can't have been nice working in there pretty much solo, but the service was actually pretty poor. The £10 cocktails were served in tiny glasses, were full of ice, and you could barely even taste the alcohol.
I didn't eat but apparently the lobster rolls were super nice, if a very small portion for the price.
Overall, this had the potential to be a really great drinking space, but was totally let down by the staff (or the lack thereof), and the overpriced cocktails/food. I wouldn't come back. read more
