Gorgeous ambiance and view, but the service was seriously lacking. So slow and our waitress basically disappeared after taking our order. The food was really good. It also fills up FAST, we got there right when it opened and it became busy very quickly. Love the allergen/dietary indicators on the menu.

What are the odds that I show up the day? They're having an Apperal spritz pop-up and a DJ! This place was such a cool vibe. I'm so glad we actually arrived there around 3 o'clock because by 5 o'clock it was packed and you couldn't find a seat anywhere. It's a good little pop in if you're walking around Dumbo and wanna have a few drinks or get a good view of the city, but please type it correctly because again it can't get really really packed up there and make sure you go into the right entrance. There are a few ways to get up to the top. I will definitely be back. Thanks for the free drink drinks!

This season of my life, I'm traveling and saying yes to every chance to jet‑set, hop on a train, or chase a new skyline. Staying at the 1 Hotel comes with its perks, and as a proud hotel snob, I have no problem investing in luxury... though this time, I didn't have to. I was invited and I happily accepted. Harriet's Rooftop is in the 1 Hotel and sits right next to the pool, so the crowd is a fun mix of people dressed like they're shooting a campaign and people who clearly just wandered over from their lounge chairs. The place is known for attracting stars, and they delivered; Kevin O'Leary was sitting right in front of me, taking pictures of the view like the rest of us. And honestly, who could blame him? The views are stunning. Service was okay; you have to be escorted up by the hostess if you're not a guest, if you're a guest you have key access; once you're on the roof, it feels like the pool staff is running the show. What didn't make sense was how many empty tables there were while they sat everyone practically elbow‑to‑elbow. Service missed the mark for a place aiming at luxury. In the kind of restaurants I frequent, an empty glass is whisked away with the speed of a magician's trick. Instead, our plates and cups lingered at the table, relaxing right alongside us as if they, too, had paid for the experience. I asked to move upon being seated, and they did accommodate, but they easily could've placed us at the waterfront table since those "reserved" guests never arrived. Still, the food was surprisingly very good, and although there's a per‑person minimum, two drinks and an entrée will get you there without trying. This is not a cheap outing, and the crowd reflects that. Everyone is in designer everything (quiet luxury but if you know, you know), and the wrist game is elite. Not just Rolex; the Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille kings were outside. You go Kings. Harriet's is a vibe...luxury, views, people‑watching, and a sprinkle of celebrity energy. Come dressed, come hungry, and come ready to enjoy the moment. Let's get into it! Frozen Watermelon Margarita - UMMMM yes. A cool, seductive little tease in a glass, smooth, refreshing, and way too easy to get attached to. I was ready for another, but my waitress slipped away like a secret. Jalapeño Margarita - A soft, intentional heat. The kind that warms you slowly, not all at once. Rock Shrimp - Big portion, light spice, and honestly came out like it knew it was fine. Bold, confident, and ready to be admired. Baked Crab Roll - The star. Warm, rich, decadent; the roll that doesn't ask for attention because it naturally commands it. Dumbo Roll - A reliable shrimp tempura moment that hit every note it was supposed to. Oysters - Fresh, briny, and gone before I even realized how much I wanted more. A true blink‑and‑you‑miss‑it situation. Overall, the food was giving chemistry, the drinks were giving "come closer," and the service was giving "I'll circle back eventually." But that Baked Crab Roll? I'd return for that one like it left something on my mind. Lots of hits, a few misses. However, yes to Harriet's every time I'm in Brooklyn!

Here to leave an honest review. Not sure what people expect at a popular Premier located rooftop bar... but no matter the city LA, Miami, Vegas those spaces are never going to give you white glove service unless you are spending top dollar, so people should manage their expectations. I recently went back a week ago for above 10. Yes, it was very crowded but still a very enjoyable event. People should try not to make bartenders' lives harder than they already are dealing with a bunch of drunk people on a Saturday evening. I think management here is great though. I brought my Mom for 4th of July and one of the managers was so kind he really helped us out a lot. It was really appreciated. I don't know his name..Ron, Rich or Reg something like that not sure but he was super nice. The service at Barbuto was great. One carribean to another, thank you whoever you are, it was really appreciated! Sometimes the kindness of strangers, especially on one of the busiest nights of the year, has a lasting impact. -Dominique

First date at Harriets. This gentleman was clearly one with taste for the finer things in life. Reservations required to dine , but I imagine exceptions can be made for the right person. (do note minimum spending requirements apply). Our waiter did a fantastic job of checking in while not making us feel rushed. The attentive service was accompanied by helpful recommendations. All of the food well presented and flavorful. Spicy tuna crispy rice where the rice wasn't too crispy and sticking to teeth. Poke bowl well balanced and filling, bao buns not memorable but no complaints. The drinks were on the pricier side but well crafted. Harriets impeccable decor, lighting, service, ambiance and cuisine set the tone for a night to remember. The seating area was backdropped with Manhattan's skyline and the Hudson River which made for a fantastic view. However, that didn't stop them from clearly putting some thought and effort in the decor. Greyscale wood furnishing with cushioned outdoor seats were well organized and spaced for privacy and intimate conversations. The seated dinning area was surrounded by the ambiance of patrons who were present for bar and dance floor vibes(no resy required). This place was packed and active but the closed off seating made it possible to enjoy both worlds.

Came here for a rooftop party and was blown away by how spectacular the view is. The drinks are strong, I ordered a dirty martini and enjoyed it a lot. The bathrooms are communal but the concept is great. They have a lot of different plants all over which is a nice touch. Service is fast & staff is friendly. This was one of my favorite places to visit on my trip and I cannot wait to come back

If you're looking for one of the most unforgettable rooftop experiences in NYC, Harriet's Rooftop absolutely delivers. I honestly didn't expect to be this blown away, but everything -- from the skyline views to the music -- was beyond perfect. Let's start with the ambiance -- unreal. As soon as you step out of the elevator, it feels like you're walking into a hidden paradise above the city. The lighting is warm and sophisticated, the décor is chic with just the right amount of edge, and the entire rooftop has this electric but relaxed vibe. The views? INSANE. Sweeping, unobstructed shots of the Manhattan skyline, Brooklyn Bridge, and Statue of Liberty -- it's one of those moments where you pause and just soak it in. It's the kind of place that makes you fall in love with the city all over again. And now -- the DJ performance. We came on a Saturday night and honestly, the DJ was phenomenal. Perfect balance of chill house beats early on and then a flawless transition into deeper grooves and throwback remixes as the night went on. The energy was building slowly but intentionally, and by 11PM the entire rooftop was moving. Not in a packed-club kind of way -- but more of a stylish, upscale crowd having the time of their lives kind of way. Service was also on point. Our server was attentive, super friendly, and recommended some killer cocktails. I had a smoky mezcal-based drink that was one of the best cocktails I've had in months. The small bites were elevated and delicious -- especially the tuna tartare and truffle fries. Honestly, Harriet's is more than just a rooftop -- it's an experience. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this spot is a must for anyone who appreciates good music, beautiful design, and next-level views. It's the kind of place where memories are made. Already planning my next visit -- this time with a bigger crew.

View is amazing!!! We were able to dine without a reservation. There is a minimum consumption price of $75 but you'll definitely get there. This view costs lol. Nonetheless, I can say it's totally worth it. The staff were all great. I had the purple haze drink x2. I then had the jumbo roll without the tuna. Super delicious and filling. I also had the wagyu sliders cause I was starving. Don't judge; it was only two sliders. Mouthwatering, warm, and flavorful. Overall, great experience. And the summer weather was a nice complement. Check them out.

Come here for the ambiance and views. Was not disappointed with either. Our server was attentive and we were able to snag window seats. The food is prob the hardest thing to overcome. Prices are pretty typical of high end places in NYC.

I was there for my daughter's engagement We started on the rooftop which had amazing views of downtown manhattan. The music was great. Then we headed to the restaurant. We had a big party and had a separate room with a set menu. All the food was so good. Seems like we had everything on the menu. The service was top notch. Bit of a pain to get there by car. But it was worth the trip. Highly recommended

Stunning views with a chic, relaxed vibe. Drinks are well-crafted, and small bites pair nicely. Perfect for sunset cocktails or casual evenings with friends. Service attentive and friendly, music is a bit loud.

I went to an event at Harriet's Rooftop and had such a great time! The views are absolutely incredible, you can see the city skyline. The atmosphere was lively, the appetizers and drinks were both really good, and the DJ kept the energy going all night. I even got to see Lisa Vanderpump, which made the night extra fun! There's an outside deck area with equally amazing views, and the overall vibe of the venue is elegant but relaxed. It's located inside a beautiful hotel, and there's convenient parking right next to it, which made getting in and out super easy. Definitely a stunning spot for events, drinks, or just enjoying the view.

Went mid day just to grab a drink and enjoy the views. Bartender was very nice and they had a decent drink selection. Very peaceful at the time of day that we went, but I can see this place getting busier and packed during peak hours. Would come back for the views!

Hi! Do you need a reservation if you just want to grab a cocktail and see the view on a Friday around 5pm? Thanks!

Not at all. Lots of open area to stand and lounge around.

Is there a time limit or bill minimum?

No time limit. The minimum is $100 per person!

    Do they have happy hour?

    Yes

Is there a cover charge or access from general public to the roof ? Can you go in on a Saturday night? Who can have access to the rooftop bar?

Yes. $20 cover. As of June 2018, there is now a cover charge. If you would like a great outdoor waterfront view, check out the Crown Rooftoop, in Chinatown. No cover, 3 side views. And much higher.
